People who post on these - you are aware that your posts can be read by people who aren't "on" your threads, right?

Because some of you are pretty offensive and dim otherwise.

And how nice their little corner of MN is and how there's nobody howwid on their threads oh no, not at all.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/02/2007 18:49

This didnt kick off then? [disappointed]

hunkerdave · 25/02/2007 19:38

It's been mentioned on one of the postnatal threads.

Because...they're private, obv.

awww. Are they still too scared to venture out? Nothing to be afraid of. I dont eat babies or anything......although I am a nazi

MrsBadger · 25/02/2007 19:56

d'you know, I actually joined an antenatal thread this time round

I've posted once and checked the thread about three times

I just can't face it

WestCountryLass · 25/02/2007 20:05

I don't know what the OP is referring to but, personally, if I had something to say I would say it in the thread it related to.

So far as antenatal/postnatal threads go, I do think it is a bit strange a fair few Mumsnetters seem to dislike them so much. OK, fair enough, they might not be the forum for you, pregnant or not. However I do like the comraderie of discussing an intense period of your life with women going through the same thing at the same time.

Rhubarb · 25/02/2007 20:07

Yes but Mumsnetters have always used the "safety" of other threads to bitch about other Mumsnetters. It's not just the post-natal lot and rather unfair to imply that it is.
Remember Narniagate?
It happens all the bloody time!

hunkerdave · 25/02/2007 20:13

Remember it? Course I bloody do!

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 25/02/2007 22:01

actually, can someone tell me what narniagate was?

Rhubarb · 25/02/2007 22:04

Many moons ago, when the gruffalo was just a twinkle in the sky, there were some nameless Mumsnetters who found a way to resurrect a previously dead thread by googling it and posting on it. In this way only a select few could read and respond to the "deleted" thread. They used this devious way to bitch about certain other Mumsnetters that they disliked and the initiation for newcomers to the "deleted" thread was that they too had to bitch about a Mumsnetter.

The deleted thread was apparently about the film Narnia, hence the term Narniagate.

But then the nefarious plot was discovered, the ringleader left and all was then forgiven and forgotten and everyone lived happily ever after!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/02/2007 22:07

LOL Rhubarb. You should write childrens books

Twinklemegan · 25/02/2007 22:08

Well I'm on a postnatal thread, but most of us venture out into the big bad world too! I'm sure the bitching you're referring to wouldn't happen on OUR thread hunker!

AitchTwoOh · 25/02/2007 22:11

really rhubarb? how truly faaaaaabulous and hilarious. (and Bad, obviously, Very Bad )
i wish things like that happened now...

Rhubarb · 25/02/2007 22:13

It really was a bit of a story! Best thing was, I knew I'd made it as a regular Mumsnetter as I was the first Mumsnetter to be bitched about on that thread! All bow now please.

gavisconwoman · 25/02/2007 22:16

how very dare you???

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 08:45

ffs MOST of you lot really are a bunch of sad twats! YOUR PATHETIC!

Have you really got nothing better to do with your lives than sit on mumsnet all day, bitching & trying to cause rows???

yes, we do know that mn is a public forum & anyone can see what we write & we are not "too scared to venture out" but maybe a lot of people just choose to stay on the postnatal/ antenatal thread that is relevant to them because the rest of mumsnet is just like being back at school!
MOST, not all, of you regular mumsnetters are just sad, pathetic bullies, who find the need to constantly put other people down & take the piss out of them & go sticking your noses into other threads that really u have no interest in, you just post on there to try & stir things up!!!
Most of us are just on here to chat to other mums in a similar situation to us, we are all quite capable of making up our own minds on subjects regarding our children but if we ever need some 'expert' advice( or just a good bitch) we will be sure to come to you lot!

hunkerdave · 26/02/2007 09:10

Hahahahahaha!

OP posts:
BENDYB · 26/02/2007 09:14

OP posts:
BENDYB · 26/02/2007 09:18

Tutter · 26/02/2007 09:19

Tutter · 26/02/2007 09:20

hunkerdave · 26/02/2007 09:20

Tootle off to your postnatal thread to write posts smattered with faces now then, sweetheart.

But don't use the f word on it, because that's too howwid on a fluffy thread

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 26/02/2007 09:26
