After today's shopping trip, I now have Series 3 on DVD! This means I can watch whenever I want on the latop without DH complaining about being kicked off the TV. Hurrah! I did not buy or see any Xmas stuff

Ooh letus - I was channel flicking while eating dinner & saw NCIS. I had no idea what was going on as I'd missed quite a bit of the beginning, but there was a bit of gun wielding Gibbs . I thought of you, naturally

Have been on stepper, then stretching. the second I sat down to stretch, stupid cat came over to sit next to me. She's v. sweet...

LetUs I might have a sip of spiced rum on your behalf, since you're not up to any alcohol. Or I might just slob on the sofa (because I can't be arsed moving now) and think about the 70% cocoa choclate that I bought today because it's healthier than the purple-wrapped stuff. Though it's kind of a challenge now to not eat slabs of chocolate at all for as long as I can. Or drink Red Bull either. This abstinence makes me officially even more boring that usual - no more waving a cheery can of red bull at people over my desk at work, or having a sugar-rush inspired sweary fit about other departments. Maybe that's why work's been so utterly tedious for the past couple of weeks

PS - we're watching the Ryder Cup. I may go to bed.

PPS - whilst shopping I saw a magazine cover with someone lurking in a hooded cloak 'Oh', thinks I ' What's Grimaud doing on the cover?' It was actually advertising (I think) Assassins Creed. I thought of Mouse - wherever she's gone.

I haven't been paying attention for ages, so none of this relevant anymore not that that's ever prevented my mindless burbles in the past but in true Comtess style, have a bullet pointed list:

• Frigging homework....MlleElk has gone from sod all to a sack full every week, admittedly it's still essentially 'draw a picture about autumn' or learn the 5 x table, but I've still got to find time to crowbar it in between brownies and swimming and music lessons and orchestra and hanging upside down from the climbing frame. I've She's already had a "please complete your homework MlleElk" note in her maths book

• Happy Birthday Madame, how's the squitty kitty, has she firmed up yet?

• Sorry about the CAMHS referral Letus, that's most unhelpful. Have they actually seen DS to make a decision? Sorry if I've missed the point there...surely there is something they can do.

• Poldark in the shower has made me sit up and take notice...although I've still to catch up on the entire series, as well as Our Girl, Bake Off and now Strictly....I've no idea where the time goes.

• How's MrHelen's back Hel? Excellent giffage btw....I don't suppose you could pop them in here too could you....you know the ones

Am bloody knackered today, we've been lagging the loft and despite spending about a million quid in Tesco earlier I couldn't face cooking anything to eat, so MrElk has been out and hunted and gathered a kebab....the lovely man.

Finished reading the 3rd Cormoran Strike book the other day, and started right back at the beginning again!
