Well, I went to the hospital. It doesn't help when your BP is being monitored that you have a small child behind you shouting and crashing cars into the wall for 45 minutes. It also doesn't help when you've got the thing fitted that the pay machine in the car park won't accept your coins and you think you're stuck there. In the end I had to find another machine at the other end of the car park.

So, my arm is being strangled every half hour, and if it isn't happy it does it again in 2 minutes, which happened as I was driving home. It shows you the reading at first, but I was alarmed when it started showing four dashes so had to google it as I thought it had broken. I found a blog people do blogs about the weirdest things these days and apparently it does that so that your blood pressure won't be influenced by you knowing it. Clever, eh?

It's going to be a long night.

Awwwwww - flippin eck apes. Hospital car parks are unbelievably stressful places. Can never get a space anywhere in mine and think Im going to miss the appt. Then can never find the ticket.

Oh bloody hell Apricot, talk about a stressful situation being made worse . Doctor Athos is being kept very busy at the moment. I believe he likes to be very thorough with his examinations and ministrations.

Have watched Bake Off. Selasi was spreading cream on stuff. I went a bit cross eyed.

Journey home took twice as long tonight. Managed to listen to two Desert Island Discs podcasts (Judi Dench and Stephen Fry).

Evening wenches. Have finally sat down - do on at work, home @ 8.30pm, chores, grocery delivery, get DD ready for school trip tomorrow, briefly interact with DC & it's pretty much time for bed now . I have to be up at stupid o'clock for said trip, so tomorrow will not be much better.

Morning. Well it wasn't too bad, I don't sleep well at the best of times. Getting dressed and undressed is hilarious. I had to fetch half of it off to get my bra off as it was trapped.

Going to have it removed at the hospital later, and have the heart monitor fixed.

Madame. I'm fine thanks. I now have electrodes and wires attached to me and a little monitor. It's better than the BP one as I haven't got a long tube going round my neck which threatened to strangle me and I'm not having my arm squeezed every half hour. Such fun.

DS2 had a "disagreement" with before school this morning. It started at home, on our drive, in the car, he initially refused to get out of the car, walking to school and across the playground. Suppose it shows staying power and determination. So that got the day off to a sterling start.

And tonight after I have eaten the whole of this big pizza all by myself I have to take DS1 shopping. And DS2 has to come with us because DH wants to go to the gym
