As above. It's late, and I'm too tired to be clever or witty. (Business as usual then Hmm )

If anyone needs me I'll be in the hayloft with Athos Grin

This giffage Elk? I can't claim any credit for it. It was Apricot's hard work. I'm sure it must have been awful for her rewatching to work out where to start from. She must have watched it over and over... Grin

MrH is getting better and is thus far more likely to try and overdo things. MrH agrees that Cormorant books are v. good page turners. Though was a tad eye-rolly about the BBC adaptation. "This is the one with TB? that'll be on series link then..." Grin He knows me well. Just as well after this long, mind you.

Sympathies on the loft insulation - horrible job. Well done on MrElk for his hunter/gatherer skills Grin

I think the gif may have broken MN! they didn't even have the decency to post the gif multiple times - just the witterings that went with it. Angry FFS MN - if you're going to do multiple posts, at least repeat the most interesting part of it!

As you were wenches.

Steady on Helen, I'm gong to have to do some serious lying down now Shock

Comtess · 02/10/2016 00:13

Hey wenchi

I keep losing posts trying to use the app. This is annoying so I'm now writing in notes and copying in.

So, yesterday started with tritraining with Mr C beasting me at the gym and then trying a bike/run combo. Absolutely fucking shattering. Legs jelly and my arms still hurt. The Strava map is very pretty though. Saw loads of people I knew when we were running - all seemed a bit Balamory. Lovely feeling seeing as we've been here about 9 weeks! As usual having kids who do a lot of sport has introduced us to loads of people and social events which is fab.

Last night we went out for dinner and took ds4 with us. Twinnos out at a party which I saw photos of on Instagram and thought 1) Everyone here looks so healthy and attractive which is lucky when it's outdoor Bbq/pool parties with everyone in their bathers (it was a lovely warm evening here). 2) You never had to worry about such things in the valleys c 1985 where a party at a friend's meant drinking cheapo cider in a wood somewhere wearing a puffer coat. People looked neither healthy nor attractive but as it was pitch black except for the odd lighter it didn't matter to much.

Letus hope you're ok and your tooth is not too painful.

Wicked where are you moving to? New house?

Elk love the Comtess list.

Hel yes I agree Cormorant fab page turners. And even better when you picture TB as Strike. Cannot fucking WAIT oooof.

There ARE libraries but not near me or on way to work. And I'm sooooooo fucking sick of producing bloody documents for everything I'm just going to buy it and to hell with anticonsumerism and Japanese minimalism. (I do neither of these well Grin).

Apes Loved reading the blog. Very interesting and also liked all the human 'getting lost' bits which other people never seem to admit to. Good title, agree that some people would start carping on if it was any stronger put.

Comtess · 02/10/2016 00:14

Oh I do love that gif. Happy to watch him undressing eleventy-hundred times. Or five for a start. Thanks H 😆

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/10/2016 08:02

I have had a lie-in - hurrah! The cloudburst rain woke me at 6:45 am and DS didn't appear until just after 7!!!!

Contess LOL at Oz vs Valleys party analysis Grin My main party experience involved watching everyone else get drunk while I was bored witless Hmm
Hope the muscles are less achey by the time you read this, though I did wonder what tit-training involved Hmm Grin

PS - he's undressing 6 times on my screen, you're missing a set of unbuckling. I had to scroll through several times to check. Did I mention I have the DVD now as well, so can replay the whole scene repeatedly? even if it's not out of the wrapper yet, I could if I wanted to, that's the point Grin

Elk - yes. That's a major homework headache - fitting it round all the other activities. Sad

Morning wenches.

Grin at Helen's multi-giffing

I didn't go to parties/wasn't invited as a teen. Dull.

Am waiting for another organisation to get back to me Elk so we shall see.

DH has been invited to the football so I'll be doing all sporting shuttling about today. Fun times.

Laters wenches

MadamedeChevreuse · 02/10/2016 09:32

Hello new thread!

Thanks elk. Actual birthday yesterday was a bit of a wash out due to me feeling knocked out still with this cold. Hopefully today will be better. Love's young dream, aka my mum and her gentleman friend, are coming over for lunch. And the weather looks a lot better and Im feeling a lot better. Due I think to sticking my head in Olbas vapour a lot last night.

I saw apes posted the gif of lust on the last thread so I claimed that as my birthday present Grin

letus how's the tooth today?

helen I def think you should give up red bull. The filthy stuff is seriously bad for your health in large quantities imo. So gawannnn dooooo itttttt!!!! You dont need it!!!!

wicked Wine how totally exciting about your house move!!! It looks gorgeous. Well done! What is the time frame? Do you have redecoration plans? Ikea cat / owl prints? Grin

comtesse yes, totally, bloody auatralians, all healthy and beautiful cos of their lovely outdoorsy climate! I often felt like this about Spain. It really is so much easier to be healthy and fit when you can practically live outdoors in a t shirt all year round. So much harder for us northern europeans not to be pasty, overweight, depressed and spotty... Grin

However, there's good and bad in every country, nowhere is perfect and you always end up missing something, no matter where you are...

ApricotCrush · 02/10/2016 10:06

Morning. It looks nice outside, but it's 8 degrees. Shock

Lol at multiple posting of gif.

Thanks Comtess. I read it as tit-training too Helen. Confused.

Glad you're feeling better Madame.

We're off to a family christening today in an easterlydirection. Better get in the shower.

Have good days all. Smile

JaneElk · 02/10/2016 10:45

I could do with some tit training

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/10/2016 12:37

I love friez eggs Elk Wink and thanks for the schnapps!

Comtesse I'm going to rent mum's house since she bought a flat. My sis is supposed to buy the house cause it's on the same plot as hers but she can't afford it just yet. It's temporary cause I don't want to live that close to relatives really but I will pay half what I do today and it's better insulated so I don't have to freeze my ass off. My plan is to save up for a down payment on my own place.

Madame I'll move at the end of January.

I didn't get invited to parties either as teenager, I wasn't really popular, so I stayed home and read books instead.

Badders123 · 02/10/2016 12:38

Alright wenches?

Well. I'm a woman on a mission today...
Cleared out old clothes, sorted coats that no longer fit, put all my Xmas purchases in my special Xmas hiding place divan drawer, stripped beds and trying to dry outside as it's sunny today, two other loads done including hats, scarves and gloves ready for winter ❄️
Have prepped lunch - late one today as ds1 is at a match.
I might have a bath later with one of the lush bath bombs I bought yesterday...
Enjoy the christening apes.
Elk...I was side eyeing my 36FF cups yesterday in marks when there were NO bras in my size ☹️
I haven't watched strictly yet...any good?

Badders123 · 02/10/2016 12:41

Looks fab wicked! 👍🏻
I went to loads of parties 😀 Spent most of them snogging unsuitable boys tbh. I'd have been better off at home reading books!
Now I am back living in the town where I grew up its quite odd...I see all these guys that I used to fancy like mad and they look....bad 😳😁

FancyFancy · 02/10/2016 13:16

Afternoon wenches, had a lovely long lie in this morning, not even the cats woke me up.

Grin @ comtess's analysis of international party differences

Glad you're feeling a bit better madame & I hope the lunch time conversation steers clear of recent medical issues of the gentleman friend

badders you saucepot. I snogged far too few unsuitable boys when still living at home. Upped my game a little at university - probably would've done even better had Friday nights not involved me & my friends eating garlic mayo burgers & getting pissed before going out & then dancing like loons in the clubs Grin Ah happy days!

I should really go & make the most of the glorious weather - I have a hedge that needs trimming (not a euphemism) Laters

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/10/2016 13:18

Madame I might hang up one or two cat/owl prints Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/10/2016 13:19

I would love a bath Bads Envy

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/10/2016 14:43

Hmm at misspent youth and parties. I went to one party. Once. And didn't do any snogging of boys (or girls) - unsuitable or not. Wasted youth.

Madame I hope the lunch went well. My red bull average is one can spread over two days, so I don't think I'm exactly chugging the stuff back. Hmm Anyways, it's there for emergencies. Grin

Today the weather has been providing alternate sunshine and rain, and I decided to pump out the soak-away #LivingTheRuralDream. It's also windy, so I've been picking up windfalls. And I had a lovely late-morning nap once DH was up. That's pretty much my day so far in reverse order. But am about to re-engage with Homework Hell.... Sad

Elk - less complaining about fried eggs if you don't mind - you still have more than me #plank

FancyFancy · 02/10/2016 16:29

Hedge trimmed - well as much as will fit in the bin. And no MrA-esque mishaps to report.

am enjoying a late afternoon snack & Brew with FancyCat who doesn't seem traumatised by me shouting "Get off my cheese!" at her earlier

I'm pretty sure she only sniffed it Grin

MadamedeChevreuse · 02/10/2016 18:40

I didnt go to that many parties till sixth form tbh, so probably felt like I was missing out till I got older. But I suspect feeling like you dont go to enough parties is highly normal for teens. And the mega popular ones who went to all the parties probably went on to have disappointing lives cos they peaked too soon, so fuck it! Grin

helen oh good I wont check you into Red Bull Anonymous then Grin Overuse of caffeine is not good

Lunch went pretty well, though my mum's boyf is a bit right wing goes on a bit.
