Our beautiful leather clad lovelies have hung up their pauldrons, wrapped their thighs around their wenches horses and rode hard for the border. There'll be no more snogging in cupboards, or noshing on the Queen...s awful cooking. But we're not sad...oh no, we can keep this nonsense going ad infinitum, and there's plenty to look forward to as the Swaggerers stagger on in post muskie oblivion.

So keep the Cardinals finger flowing, and help yourself to the complementary Hot Chilean Nuts.

Now....S1 Ep1 anyone??

Helen poor old Mr H. Really splinched himself hasn't he?

Comtess · 28/09/2016 22:10

Wicked surely eventually you'll have revenge on your mum and get the Tom Dream.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/09/2016 22:12

I once rented a flat where I got trouble with the plumbing, toilet everything overflowing, actual shit came up. The plumber had this machine with him and removed lots of blond hair from the plumbing so it was kind of obvious it wasn't my fault.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/09/2016 22:14

Oh wait, I just remembered that I had a Tom dream that ended with a kiss, a while ago Grin

Comtess · 28/09/2016 22:14

I've read Cursed Child. Was really hoping to see it before we left but sadly not possible. So decided to read it, but would really have tried not to and wait for the theatre if I could've. I think it's just brilliant.

Have always loved JKR but the whole Strike/Tom thing has revolutionised and magnified how bloody marvellous I think she is.

ApricotCrush · 28/09/2016 22:14

Kitchen roll??? Who puts kitchen roll down the sink, and why? Confused

LetUsPrey · 28/09/2016 22:15

Helen - yes as long as they don't interact badly with asthma

We had a little tiny mouse in the house last night but it disappeared behind a skirting board. It reappeared today in the living room but hid under the settee so DS2 put a tiny piece of cheese down and then lured it out by playing his recorder. Bizarrely that seemed to work and I was able to get it and safely deposit it outside where DS2 threw the cheese after it so it didn't go hungry Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/09/2016 22:18

I started reading the first Cormoran book again. I love the books and I love Cormoran. He's so big and burly and scruffy ...... Wink

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/09/2016 22:18

That's so nice of DS2 Letus Grin

Comtess · 28/09/2016 22:19

Which reminds me: I had a Tom dream last night. He was TB being Strike acting out the bit in the last book at the very end

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/09/2016 22:19

Contess MrH says yes, he has Grin

Well done on finding a tame plumber - always handy. We have a 'new' sink which has been waiting to be plumbed in for 2 months at least. It's not that we can't plumb it in, but the pipes are all solid copper and need to be cut down because the new sink is deeper

FancyFancy · 28/09/2016 22:22

We're relieved too comtess, but being at a safer distance than you, just a little disappointed Grin

What is it with some people? I once had a blocked drain in a rented house - someone had lifted the manhole cover in the front yard & shoved a carrier bag of rubbish down the drain Shock.

Comtess · 28/09/2016 22:23

Apes I know!!! It was like someone had shredded up little bits of kitchen roll which had then re-formed into huge impacted monster of papier mache. No clue.

Aw, that's very sweet about the mouse 🐭. My grandma used to make us go at least half a mile away with them to free them, as she reckoned otherwise they def came back. Old Welsh Wives Knowledge Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/09/2016 22:25

Shock re your dream comtess how very dare your subconcious do that to you. Send it to the naughty step right now. (see if it picks up some useful naughty hints Wink )

Loving MiniLetUs as the Pied Piper. We rescued a little hedgehog this evening - it was on the road and being a bit thick about getting off the road, so we put it in the hedge.

DH is currently reading Cormoran book 1 (FFS - I cant type that now without having to go back and delete a 't' off the end) I think I'm for the hayloft soon.

Comtess · 28/09/2016 22:28

I know. Rude. Disappointment was palpable when I woke up.

I want to read Corm 1 again but didn't bring it. So now need to buy again which seems wasteful. Unless I get ds1 to bring it over in Dec but that seems ages. Grr.

Wicked agreed. I adore scruffy Strike.

Comtess · 28/09/2016 22:30

Now need to go to work!!! Enjoy your beds northern hemisphere wenches Grin

FancyFancy · 28/09/2016 22:30

Loving the mouse story letus, DS2 sounds like a useful chap to have around. Grin

An Envy at the hedgehog helen Envy
Saw one down the road a few days ago - nearly did an emergency stop so I could go catch him & put him in my garden. He could've dined like a king on all the bastarding slugs & snails in there Angry

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/09/2016 22:31

Comtess do you not have libraries over there?

LetUsPrey · 28/09/2016 22:36

Mouse only made it as far as just into the garden but, having also been subjected to being photographed by DS1 last night and DS2 attempting a selfie with it, I'm hoping it's shy and won't come back.

Hurrah and boo for dreams in turn.

We had a blocked drain in our street which resulted in water coming up through the grid on our driveway. Rocks and rubble down there causing the blockage.

Gibbs just shouted at someone. I had a moment.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/09/2016 22:42

LetUs Grin

We had a flood when DS was 2 weeks old - came back from registering him to find the pumping station had failed and the street was underwater and sewage coming back up through the manholes. fortunately it just managed to stay out of the house. I stood there with DS directing operations Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/09/2016 22:48

And on that delightful note, I'm off to the hayloft - night all....

FancyFancy · 28/09/2016 23:01

Night helen. If you don't mind I'll ignore your penultimate post & focus on letus's shouty Gibbs post Grin

LetUsPrey · 28/09/2016 23:18

So Helen was standing there shouting "keep that shit away from my house!" whilst clutching a little baby - that's an excellent image Grin. Night Helen.

I hope Patty's home and cosy.

Can't believe I've never watched NCIS before, although this does mean I've a whole library of episodes needing to be watched. He does a fair bit of shouting doesn't he Fancy? And simultaneously slams his hands down on the table.

Night wenches x

FancyFancy · 28/09/2016 23:42

I've watched very little of it letus, just something I've come across whilst channel surfing (and then lingered on while he's on screen!). Based on your recommendation, I may have to start watching though Grin

MadamedeChevreuse · 29/09/2016 07:45

Patty is safe and well, came in after an hour. Grin

Will rtft properly later. Layers all xxx
