I know exactly what you mean Apes re sport. There are tiny glimmers that come through occasionally though like the American tennis player, Jack Sock, who (at the Olympics this year I think it was) said to his opponent that a ball they had hit had landed in but was called out. Think he said "that was actually in if you want to challenge it" - sort of stuck with me. But yes, it seems to increasingly be about the money.

I am loving NCIS, and in particular am loving Mark Harmon . I used to like watching him in St Elsewhere.

We are about to watch Poldark.

Have watched Poldark. I rather enjoyed the fight with George in the pub. DH shouted "go vamp!" which made me snort and confused DS1 I may have to watch the scene towards the end in the water again and I am very much looking forward to next week's bath scene

Think you may need to put in some serious work before next Sunday - that bath scene could be series 2's scything moment . Am trying to persuade DD to watch Being Human with me so I can justify buying all series for mother/daughter bonding over outrageously hot vampires purposes

I am back, (well, was back last night tbh, but too much to do to log in and wave at folk) Was a nice interesting evening with people who didn't look politely blank if FreelanceStuff was mentionned. (Apparently I practise a 'dark art' - who knew?! )

Unfortunately DH has properly buggered up his back with disc problems - not ruptured or slipped, but badly inflamed and he is not in a good way at all. I'm going to head up shortly and see if he is awake and capable of getting out of bed without help I spent the night in the spare room because he was snoring like... something that snores VERY loudly, and it wasn't really fair to wake him since he can't sleep in ay other position than flat on his back just now

And then I shall be using the crowbar to get DS off the computer, heading off to BoringOfficeJob and getting on the usual treadmill of work.

LetUs I hate toothache. The one I winged about continuously had root canal on last year is feeling a bit dodgy just now I'm trying to pretend that it doesn't. Only just saw the dentist for a check-up too - sod's law.

MrHelen is moving about in a generally pained and cautious fashion now. He did look quite cheery when I asked if I needed a nurse's uniform - can't imagine why.

Another school thing this evening - this one had wine at the start, but as I had just hurriedly shovelled dinner down & then briskly walked to school, it didn't appeal . Have rewarded myself with a glass since arriving home though.
