Am probably quite superstitious due to Italian family.

Although I don't actually believe in superstitions, I sometimes act on them anyway!

We fetched the decs down this morning. All that remains is for it all to be put back in the loft. Sad to see it all go really but it had to be done today.

See I like it when decs come down as they always seem a bit sad after Christmas. Quite like the idea of getting on with life in the New Year too. Maybe am boring, non-festive cow though (don't comment on that!)

I like to start the new year all clean and sorted

We have got fabulous new hoover (oh the glamour!), so having a clean house is now finally achievable. Cordless is what is so good about it.

I cleaned a lot during the holidays and organized stuff. Feels good. That's how I look on a new year, out with all the old negative shit! One of my goal is to avoid negative people that just brings me down.

My decs are still up

No the feeling obs, I have been fretting for a while now that Natasha is dark haired in my head. And that Pierre should be bigger and fatter. Andrei looks suitably snooty though and TB should be good, so I'm trying to be hopeful!

Grim getting the decs down isn't it? I like the extra space but i like all the twinkly lights. It's so bloody dark and rainy isn't it. Grrrr.

I am DEFINATELY W&P'ing tonight. Can't wait . Think I'm going to have to concentrate though with all the different names etc so I won't comment or I'll totally lose it.

Was musing to myself earlier about Dolokhov.... The costume does add a lot doesn't it. Do you remember when the Latvia photos came out with Tom outside a hotel looking ill and those Manchester radio photos where we were all repelled by the tache...

Mary should be dark, mouse like, and quite plain Jane.

Norton is Andrei Bolkonsky. One of the most important characters to Tolstoy. His character development is huge. Arrogant, despises Petersburg society. Doesn't love wife Lise. But the guilt he feels in her childbirth death is huge. As a soldier he is extraordinary.
Very interesting character. My second favourite.
