Good luck with the buffet badders

Haven't seen Sherlock either - have taped it to enjoy later.

Has been an ok day except for losing my rag with DS this evening who is massively pissing me off. Using revising for his mocks as an excuse for getting out of doing anything except what he wants. Am a millimetre away from telling him his results had been better be fucking stellar as a result Angry

Ranty McRant etc etc

Now where's my calming pic?

Bloody hell, watching The Count of Monte Christo with Gerard Depardieu and morelike the way he says Haydee... Oooooofffftt

We3KingyOfOblomovAre · 02/01/2016 08:54

Glad you are back in your own bed Madame.
Hope Sparks and Santi are nicely bathed. Make sure you turn up the heating - I can't stand being cold.

Haven't watched Sherlock yet either. Like Fancy, I still called it 'taped', which Dh corrects me - old codger, not with the times.....

I love Gerard Depardieu Anne.

AnneEtAramis · 02/01/2016 09:25

obs I am an absolute sucker for a Latin based language and French is my language of choice.

Badders - what's the book called, I prefer social and cultural history but always looking for new things?

Badders123 · 02/01/2016 09:35

It's called "the strangest family" by Janice hadlow.
Just started "the killers of the king" by Charles spencer

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/01/2016 11:28

Hello. Hope all wenches is well Smile

I had planned to go shopping today but ended up on the couch again. Will go out and buy some popcorn for when I watch Poltergeist.

I have also started my 'Healthier for 2016' plan. Step 1 is removing toast from my life. RESOLUTION 2 Tick for today

Morning (just) good start to the year anne, I am trying to be more ruthless with to-do lists this year, so realistic lists each day that I stick to.

BangDogMerrilyOnHigh · 02/01/2016 12:02

First item on today's list should be to get off the computer & get on with stuff.

But first.....

Well, I've woken up with a headache Sad
Have just decorated mums cake.
I really don't know why I'm bothering Tbh. She will come, eat, then leave as soon as she can.
Sigh.
Any tips for lessening contact with her gratefully received!!
Have come to the conclusion I have to for my own sanity.

OhComeLetUsAdoreHBFs · 02/01/2016 13:48

Afternoon wenches and a belated Happy New Year

Badders123 · 02/01/2016 14:53

Letus. I feel the same. Any room in your cupboard? Sad
On the plus ride I have remembered to rage out the roulade to defrost forgot last year

OhComeLetUsAdoreHBFs · 02/01/2016 15:19

Plenty of room Badderz. I am now picturing you beating the crap out of a poor unsuspecting roulade Grin

I need something to perk me up. These would help

BangDogMerrilyOnHigh · 02/01/2016 16:05

Well I'm sniggering at the mental picture of badders v the roulade!

To-do list going quite well so far today, so am having a break with a Brew and Countdown - racy I know.

DS seems to be making an effort today, so maybe losing my rag yesterday wasn't a total disaster - he went to the shops for me this morning & purchased everything on the list with no errors /inappropriate pack sizes etc. was most impressed. DD has decided it's her turn to be crabby now

MrsChristmasCake · 02/01/2016 17:44

Evening all.

Badders I hope your day was ok. Did your roulade defrost? As for minimising contact: I just try and keep it short and sweet. But we've never been overly close and she lives an hour away, so it's easier for me.

A cuppa and countdown sounds my level of fun!!

Badders123 · 02/01/2016 19:43

Rage out?
Ffs.
Well, it's over.
Thank fuck.
Roulade was very delicious.
I may go to bed soon.

ChevreuseRoastedByAnOpenFire · 02/01/2016 20:14

Yay bads! Loving the roulade rage.

Well I havent got round to any new years resolutions cos we're too busy spring cleaning the house ready for photos and viewings. (that's my excuse anyway.)

Net curtains are soaking overnight in bleach. Operation clean windows commences in earnest tomorrow. Anyone have any advice about putting bleach in a washing machine to finish the net curtains? Ok or not ok? And how much / when to add the bleach?

Badders123 · 02/01/2016 20:59
