julie4travel · 16/11/2006 20:52

cheers suppose no time like the present. i have never been able to do a link like that - not an experienced mnetter!!!

camum · 16/11/2006 21:04

thank you everyone for the replies, will take her to Urban Angels assessment and see what happens.

ellismum > our assessment is on Thursday 23/11 and my daughter is 8, when are you going?

Ragamuffin · 16/11/2006 21:04

Thanx mrsratty......I start getting nervous when it nears 1000 posts as several times now I have had to get the new thread from Julie!I am also clueless as to how to start a new thread and link it.

housemum · 16/11/2006 21:05

Ragamuffin - have just sent you an e-mail - do let me know if it doesn't come through, am in the transition from one e-mail address to another and Outlook sometimes chucks them goodness-knows-where! Wonder if the postman enjoyed the pics!

ellismummy · 16/11/2006 21:05

camum we are sat 25th, my ds is 2. Hope it goes well for you, let us know how you get on.

julie4travel · 16/11/2006 21:08

raga i am still online- wasn't supposed to be this evening yet work keep emailing me queries. will email u in a sec

ellismum if ua take oon your ds are you just going to lose the money paid out with ts? or stall acceptance to see how your little one gets on with ts?

ellesmum how much did a day return to mk cost in the end?

julie4travel · 16/11/2006 21:20

raga have emailed u

ellismummy · 16/11/2006 21:29

I wont stall ts, i will decide as soon as i know on ua, but i dont know to answer your question! It is an awful lot of money to just lose but some people seem to advise it would be worth losing it to go with ua, thats why sites like this are so helpful to get advice from people who already have experience.

julie4travel · 16/11/2006 21:32

ellismummy- is a hard one and i wouldn't know whats right either if its me! keep us informed!

marymay · 16/11/2006 21:54

ellesmum · 16/11/2006 22:08

marymay- maybe u will still hear as kids didnt have the time and place yet, they are phoning tomrrow to tell me. plus your ds is a different age group and might be booked for another day, good luck hope u hear.

julie - i didnt get the train to MK dp drove us, took us an hour and a bit to get there and the same time to get back, so wasnt a bad journey and was well worth it to see her pic!

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 10:54

Morning all,

DD's friend is having her birthday party on Sunday and I offered to make the cake. It's in the oven at the moment, fingers crossed it comes out well!

chocabloc · 17/11/2006 11:07

has anybody had any luck/heard of kids plus agency! they took free snaops of my 2 yr old ds last sat, but apparently they dont get much work for that age range, i didnt pay nething, so i cant really lose out right! I have cancelled with little caorns twice, lots of dodgy feedback, didnt know about their fee, until someone else mentioned it! so am looking in2 alphabet kids, any reccomonedatioins or advice pls?

dylansluckymum · 17/11/2006 11:17

good morning!!! i haven't had a chance to read all the posts but did see that elle got the mackays job, well done! she's so gorgeous, she's going to be everywhere too!

raga if you have them electronically can i see your dds pics? [email protected].

ds has been confirmed for practical parenting shoot! i am so excited!!! she didn't have the details yet just rang to let me know.

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 11:17

chocabloc - have you tried bruce and brown, MOT, kids london or Urban angels. I don't know anything about kids plus. Little acorns are certainly one to stay away form!

OP posts:
mrsratty · 17/11/2006 11:18

dylansluckymum - well done, exciting to think that Dylan will be a cover star!!!

OP posts:
Lolly68 · 17/11/2006 11:20

mrsratty - I'm sure the cake will be very nice. If it was me however.. it wouldn't! I'm useless in the kitchen.

Well done DLM. My son (who is now 15) done PP front cover and M&B front cover when he was a baby... I hope Lydia follows in his footsteps too!

mrsratty · 17/11/2006 11:29

Lolly68 - do you still have the work your son did? I'm sure your daughter will get some good jobs too!

OP posts:
lanismum · 17/11/2006 11:30

just looking in, wow dylans, well done, a cover!!!!!

thorntons, we are all fine, gorgeous Lani is erm......still a complete lunatic!
in the last 2 weeks she has broken the freezer, again, picked up a 3 week old baby by his neck, fallen head first off a big trampoline, possibly eaten a powerball from a dishwasher tablet (it was never found) escaped from her carseat more time than i can count, lapped up rainwater from a puddle in the park, pushed a shopping trolly into the side of my mums car scratching it, and thrown her dads mobile phone over the balconey, am really really worried that she will be having an off day on sunday when shes booked in to have her photos updated for ua, oh well, we will see!

ellismummy · 17/11/2006 11:31

mythumbs, thats great about your neice, good that you hear so soon too, nothing worse than having to wait ages, did they let her know on the day then? how old is she?

dlm, that would be amazing a front cover, although he deserves to be, having him on the front would prob sell loads of copies!
