Ok, petrol hell is over but now DH is having a huge inquest with himself. How did he do it? Why did the nozzle go in when there's supposed to be a fail-safe on the car? Can he get compensation from the manufacturers?

Madame we had holidays with Eurocamp in France and Spain when the DC were little and we had some great times, but it was a long time ago so I don't know how the prices compare with hotels now. We used to have tents which were cooler than the caravans and even then they were really well equipped.

It's been a bit busy chez mouse. Have a friend staying over this weekend and have had to run around making sure the house is not a tip.

I'm with badders on camping. I want a bed, a shower and a toilet.

Toddlermouse had a haircut yesterday and he looks all different, like a proper little boy . And weirdly more like me than his dad. But at least he can see where he's going now.

madame you could get a 'last minute' one week all inclusive somewhere hot (but not too hot) for that and there'd be loads of kids. A friend of mine went for less than around 1200 outside school hols so it'd be around 2000 in the hols.

I looked into similar last year. About £900 for a mobile home in Italy for 11 nights. For 5 of us.

I'm some one who would like to do survival type camping holidays where I'd learn to catch stuff to eat and pick things and all manner of useful things from an HBF who in order for us to keep warm would have to snuggle up close and then obviously we'd have to have a shag.

I'd like to go somewhere the kids and h get taken from me and looked after/amused and I get food and liquids sent to me whilst I watch HBF all day. Doing naked oily wrestling moves before trying to get me to join in.

Re eurocamp we are not tenting, but staying in a metal box. And it would be 2 grand all in, ie including ferry and food etc.

However Ive just realised we can knock off 3 hundred if we use the eurotunnel instead of ferry.

But fuck knows what we'll do, still mid-argument with dp and he's decided to be a twat about it all, apparently.
