Floppers!!!

Oh look - I forgot to press 'post message' yet again

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 29/04/2015 22:48

Oh, and glad Parents' Evening went so well letus and congrats to your DS.

And I completely missed flopsy's posts as well. Sorry things are tough back-wise, hope things get moving soon for you.

sparks that sounds promising. Do you think she knows of the love for billowy-shirts-that-are-never-done-up?

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 29/04/2015 22:55

I may have to add that to the list Fancy. I've already said she's got to keep the leather & the cloaks, plus we've requested generally as little as possible Smile She has engaged with us a lot today (hoping that novelty doesn't wear off) & I told her I like having a Costume Designer working on the same wavelength as us after she approved of the pics of suggested costumes that were tweeted to her Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2015 22:57

Sparks that's fab Grin have just read it and DH has given me the 'You're Mumsnetting' look because I keep sniggering.

Evening all

letUs lovely news. Well done all round.

Got in really late, can't be arsed to have a meal so have eaten some lemon and coriander houmous and pitta with by coincidence some baba ganoush!! #aubergine frenzy

Twitter totes hilare with some fabulous photos tonight. Yy ref new costume wench. It's looking hopeful Grin.

I have an upset boy to deal with so off to cwtch and sort it out with cuppas and some cake a lovely WI lady brought me today. It's carrot cake which I'm a bit ambivalent about myself, but should work to coax out information.

'I CANNOT BELIEVE you slept with the Queen' also one of my top scenes.

Thanks for kettle info everyone, most informative and helpful as ever. #who needs which? reports when you have wenches

MiladyBeaWinter · 29/04/2015 23:10

Evening wenches. I'm in for wench camp. Am also handy at putting up tents mainly because I am anal and look for those youtube videos that explain and show step by step I vote airbeds, with duvets and (this bit is important) a cheapy ikea rug or blanket under the airbed. Stops the ground chilling the air in the bed and making you cold. I also vote camping in your back garden if you can get away with it.

This is from Ryan's twitter. Possible new villan or cast member you think? He is called Darrel D'Silva.

Leather, cloaks, billowy shirts - we're not that hard to please really Grin. Maybe add to the list trousers that don't make it look like Dog is wearing a sodden nappy.'s

Good luck with ds-comforting comtess & thank you for the reminder that I have dcs - DS's exams start tomorrow, so I'd better go & check he's nicely tucked up Grin

FancyFancy · 29/04/2015 23:16

Apologies for the random 's in the above post.

I think that making the bookings and then finalising complicated rota swapping for DD's after school club has fried my brain.

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 07:13

what did they tell you lyndie? how complicated is it?

MadamedeChevreuse · 30/04/2015 07:20

Morning wenches!

Ive woken up with a wonderful feeling of complete paranoia that I am useless and unskilled and will never get another job again.

So Im off to the allotment this morning.

I wonder if phoebe had intellectual rights over her musketeer costume designs or not? not sure s3 will look so good if yes

AND IM DYING TO KNOW WHY SHE LEFT. After winning a Bafta!!!! Was she adrians mate? There must be something going on.

That man next to ryan has spanish baddie written all over him imo.

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 07:25

liking new baddie, good parents evenings, sad about letus fil and flopsy back.

wtf is Wetmouth? is it like Weymouth, which is where I'll be this bank holiday Monday, when its probably pissing it down with rain?

like sparks and flops I only do glamping. king size beds, king size duvets, electric heaters, microwave, wine fridge.

glad we have mrsb on board with all her expertise on ground sheets rugs etc.

well done sparks on getting new costume designer. please just give us billowy shirts. little else. preferably.

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 07:27

fancy where is your holiday?

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 07:29

chin up madame. you are fab!

yes. cut the crap. what is the goss on phoebe leaving? I NEED to know!

Lyndie · 30/04/2015 07:33

Our pension scheme is changing, we retain some benefits from old one but have all been moved to the new one which is different. Government changing annual and lifetime allowances, now you'll get penalised if you pay too much in!! Numbers generally make my head swim but this was worse than normal!! Dynamisation factors!! CPI!! I nearly had to have a Wineafter.

Just read an interesting article in the guardian about Internet trolls faking illness!! What on earth?!

If anyone can recommend a camping fridge can you post a link? We didn't have an electric hookup last time as the campsite was really remote but even to boil a kettle quickly would have been nice.

Lyndie · 30/04/2015 07:34

Madame enjoy the allotment.

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 07:40

blimey. head spins!!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2015 07:58

Phoebe was designing costumes under contract for BBC - BBC will hold all rights because if she's freelancing it will be done as work for hire. (Unless her contract said something else which is v. unlikely.

Madame You are NOT useless and you WILL get another job. So enjoy the free time now while you have it

Lyndie Hmm Wine re. trying to make any sense of pensions.

I have never been to Wetmouth/Weymouth

I like camping, with an airbed. (Though I can do the sleepingbag/bed roll thingy if I have to.) DH hates it though (bad back and all), so we don't usually go further than me and DS in the garden though. I'm ok at putting up tents as long as poeple don't keep helping grabbing randon poles and trying to fit them together while I'm laying them all out in an OCD-ish sort of way

And finally, for now. Misheared thingy of the day:
Me: "My feet are freezing"
DH: WTAF-type look
Me: ??
DH: "What did you just say"
Me: "My feet are freezing"
DH: "I thought you said 'I need a threesome'"
Me: Shock Grin

And now I need to wrangle DS into school clothes/toothbrush/get dressed mode. And me too for that matter.

Lyndie. ALDI. They do their camping gear last week of May/1st of June every year. Their electric toolbox is fab. Plugs into normal elec or your car socket while travelling. We actually used to take a mini proper fridge but traded it in for one of those from Aldi. And they're a fraction of the price in there of the proper camping brand ones. We have friends with the same one & they think the same.

#aldievangelist

Errrr yes, back on topic....

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 30/04/2015 08:02

COOLBOX, twat-top Angry

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 30/04/2015 08:04

And LOLZ to that Helen.

And Madame you are wench. Enjoy the time off, you'll be back to it in no time.

MadamedeChevreuse · 30/04/2015 08:11

Hahahahahahaha re threesome and thanks for the phoebe info, rights dept Grin

sparks, you're my go-to source of consumer info for so many things. Aldi stuff, m&s jeggings...

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 08:11

just read the guardian article. I know these things happen. but they are quite rare. and I still maintain the MSP is a very contentious issue. it is still highly linked to Sir Roy Meadow and the Sally Clarke cot deaths "1 in 73 million", for which he was struck off.

ChaiseLounger · 30/04/2015 08:13

cant wait to see the link to the latest research and trials. nope. thought not!!!

MadamedeChevreuse · 30/04/2015 08:15

Thanks wenches. Its just that career-wise Ive made some really stupid decisions in my life and as a result im not in a great position now. Ah well. In many many ways Im incredibly lucky so I will STFU now. Grin

LetUsPrey · 30/04/2015 08:20

Morning wenches. Had to have DS2 at school for 8. Everything's in a tizz. DS1 said he felt ill last night, said he's fine now but he's really quite pale. He's just gone to school though.

Freezing feet threesome made me Grin

And Madame you are not useless you silly thing

Cwtches all round. Going to set off earlier than usual while I can, and call in at Asda on the way to work. I don't know how I maintain such a rocknroll lifestyle.
