hope all wenches with dodgy teeth are pain free,
aubergines are exactly what it would be like to eat a slug. Fact.
I'm deffo up for a wench camp, and as I bought my camping equipment only last summer and have been on precisely one trip I think that counts as a wench camp veteran.

In other news, ex-step-FIL passed away yesterday to I had to tell the dcs today. Haven't had to do that before but they seemed ok. I'm glad I still get on ok with TB as it was nice to talk to ex-MIL this evening.

Off to make a cup of tea.

Evening wenches. Loved catching up with everything but it all seems to have fallen out of my head.

Parents' Evening went completely splendidly and I am SuperProudWenchMum. He's either on or above target in every subject.

The last time I went camping was in the late 1970s. It's not an experience I'm seeking to repeat. Unless SteveB is reading this, in which case I love camping and am keen to get up to all sorts of things in a tent.

Camping novices here too, we hadn't been until last year (preferred hotels and self catering) but realised that if we didn't start the DC wouldn't ever experience it otherwise!! So had great fun researching and buying the gear, and going on our first trip last year. Apart from sleeping it all went very well!! I like the sound of a camper van too.

I had trouble sleeping on the first night the first couple of camping trips we did. Now I have no probs at all. The main thing is warmth.

Lyndie - I would love to buy a campervan I need to pay off my car first and it is a real possibility in the next 3-4 years, just as the dcs get too big to really want to holiday with me

mave - thats why you have to put salt on them! (errrr...also like slugs...)

It stops them being slimy and chewy and makes them really nice.

I was cold Sparks. In my super duper massively expensive sleeping bag. I'm looking at fleece liners and bringing multiple hot water bottles next time!! Why won't your family camp?

Fleece sheets, winter duvets & a heater always helps??

Ok, here is a question for the camping wenches: Airbed or self-inflating-sleeping mat thingy? We have air beds but two have punctures so thought about the self inflating thingies.

Mave the SIMs are very comfortable!! And better insulated than airbeds. I found them a bit hard to roll up but took one to wencheventlastyear and managed to roll it up myself ok.

It's been a tad mad around here and I'm on a bit of a physical down so knackered. I'm still waiting for my spinal surgeon appt. I've been googling because one disc is bulging and the other's an extrusion which seems different.

I've RBNR other than lots of teeth, smears, shopping, weather, FAF photos and blobs.

See, I cannot multitask. Holidays booked. Yay!! But I missed the bit about mavis's ex-FIL, started running a bath for the DCs, forgot about it and forgot to tell them to keep an eye on it. Luckily DD was more on the ball than me, but I doubt there'll be enough hot water for me to shower tonight.
