Off to a boring pensions thing tonight. Seemed like the right thing to do!!

MadamedeChevreuse · 29/04/2015 18:30

Ooooh, are we doing aubergine tips? I fuckin love aubergines!

If your frying them, after cutting up, leave them in a colander with salt for a while so they lose some of their water. Rinse, pat dry, fry.

Hello nora!!!! Pourquois le french?

ApricotCrush · 29/04/2015 18:31

Yes, Chaise we went to the caravan about a month ago and got it all set up for the summer. We're not going this weekend because we have a Christening to go to, but will probably go the week after.

Bon soir Norah!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 29/04/2015 18:37

We're not camping any more Sad I love it, but only DS2 will come with me & I can't put the tent up.

So I have a week carried forward from last summer at a fab Devon site....& nobody to go with...

To say nothing of the frigging hundreds of £ of equipment. And a great huge car that we bought to transport it all.

AnneOfAramis · 29/04/2015 18:43

Sparks - I would love to say I would come with you for wench meet up, but the truth is I will be worse than a hindrance putting a tent up.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 29/04/2015 19:05

I think I cooked aubergine once in my life, don't think it turned out well though Hmm So thanks for all the suggestions Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 29/04/2015 19:06

I love baba ganoush though, yummie Smile

FancyFancy · 29/04/2015 19:09

Sad ScaredyCat just caught a bullfinch. I got her to drop it - it was still alive - got her & FancyCat unceremoniously back in the house (one under each arm, it was not elegant). And then as I went back out to put it somewhere safe to see if it would recover, a fucking magpie got it Angry

ChaiseLounger · 29/04/2015 19:11

Lyndsey, We store our caravan at the Inside Park, Dorset. Great site - Sparks has been there.
We go there for the 2 May bank holidays and another week at least in the summer.
It has an awning, a huge gazebo and huge beds that we have duvets fir. Is toast warm and we have made lots of friends so lots of chatting, Cups of tea in daytime, and tonnes of wine, round each other's camp fires in the evenings. I do like it.

We had our work pensions meeting yesterday. I am now known as pensions administrator. I am getting well into it (sad bint) . At least I'm learning something new. It's been a long time since I've had to learn anything new and I'm quite enjoying it.

Baddz · 29/04/2015 19:11

I fucking love aubergines!
A question for exercise wenches...is cycling better then running if you have dodgy joints?
I have an old rugby knee injury and my back is also a bit dodgy...hmm.
I could cycle tomorrow and wouldnt need a special bra!
Smile

MadamedeChevreuse · 29/04/2015 19:42

Right. I think we should seriously consider a wench camping trip with sparks's gear!

It would be carnage totes hilaire. Can you imagine how long it would take us to agree on how to put the tent up?

But then there would be prosecco and all would be fine.

anne thank you Im totally bookmarking that recipe page. Dp doesnt eat meat and cooking meals we can all eat is a total arse. Plus I love middle eastern food, it makes you feel so good and healthy.

bads I would give running a go first and see how the knee bears up? Cycling is lovely but unless you really cane it and go miles, its not exactly a full workout. Ive been cycling 24 miles a week for the past year and am far from peak physical fitness...

MadamedeChevreuse · 29/04/2015 19:44

fancy Angry Sad magpies are the winged minions of satan.

AnneOfAramis · 29/04/2015 20:01

I am just putting it out there that I will not be putting the tent up just do we are clear. I will be watching cackling sipping prosecco.

ChaiseLounger · 29/04/2015 20:23

I am extremely good at tents and awnings. Regretting that statement. Already.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2015 20:23

Bon soir toot le mond! Norah!!!!!!!!!!! Je also parle le Franglais, et j'adore wassisface who started le nonsense. Miles Kingston? Je crois so. Somewhere dans le mainson Je have 'Le Frangalis Leuitenant's woman' which is tres hilaire.

Elk murky buckets pour le feu extinguisher, tres thoughful, et aussie useful Grin Je have tidied up le loft de hay. It was un peu stupid to take Athos de-le-grand-bang up there mais all was d'accord dans the end. The Feu n'est pas caused trop to damage, et vous would never savez it happened, except pour le scorch marks.

Badders hope the tooth is ok now, did you play rugby too?

Off to put DS' bedroom light out/eat/work etc

AnneOfAramis · 29/04/2015 20:35

My Internet has gone all shit again.

I was about to post a pic of DS1s iPad. I have just used it to order indian and when I picked it up I was greeted by a pic of Athos!! Of course the app doesn't allow pics.

ChaiseLounger · 29/04/2015 20:39

Gives Anne position of co-ordinator, re tent set up on wench-camp.

Dh and I have seen some couples having mighty rows, during tent/ awning set up.

Which reminds me, do you remember about the couple I told you about last year , whilst camping? she had a very strong Devon accent and she said to him:
"you are use-lass. fucking use-lass". was the funniest thing the funniest row I ever saw.

MadamedeChevreuse · 29/04/2015 20:44

Errrrrrr....

Grin chaise.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 29/04/2015 20:48

You're on for wench camp. I know exactly how to erect, it's just the physical strength required for mammoth tent.

Wench camp would be brill. We could just eat dips & crisps as meals & spend the entire time in a haze of sun & prosecco.

BloodyElkFire · 29/04/2015 20:52

Aubergine porn

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2015 20:53

Wench camp - less physical effort than boot camp :)

OP posts:
MadamedeChevreuse · 29/04/2015 21:01

ok - chaise is the chief engineer.

sparks is in charge of maintaining erections.

anne is the project manager and prosecco and aubergine quartermaster.

I literally cant think of anything Id be good at on a campsite but Id give moral support to all.

AnneOfAramis · 29/04/2015 21:02

Madame I will prob need an assistant.
