I didn't get cake letus but I did get an ice-cream sundae in an attempt to bride dc into behaving like loving siblings instead of bickering enemies. It didn't work on the dc but did on me - am feeling considerably better if still likely to burst into tears if anything awful happens in Poldark

Well the DC have managed not to interrupt me yet. Unlike the cats - one just filled the litter tray and one of them dropped a small earthworm on the carpet.

Wenches, I have been productive!
Floors mopped x2 (once by DS, once (prpperly) by me)
Living room mopped, anti-flea-sprayed and bookcase built - lego and toys installed in said bookcase
Washing done
Polytunnel tidied, re-jigged, weeded, and tomatoes planted out
Massive willow log deposited at bottom of garden (it's trying to grow, so may a well put it somewhere where it grow conveniently)
Bees rearranged again to make sure they have enough room and don't go swarming off
2x visit to DP's to check on dog/feed dog collecting and returning sack barrow on route to move said willow log
1x visit to next door to partake of salmonella poisoning BBQ so no cooking needed tonight.

Yay!!!!!!! this is what I need to do - DO stuff, be productive and then I get to feel all happy at the end of the day.

Less cheerfully DS is now banned from his computer for a week (or longer if DH hasn't installed blocks on the website with the forbidden games). Cue major melt-down and tantrum. He went on it this morning and also at lunchtime (when he said he was playing something else and tried to hide it from us) Why are nearly-7-year-old so stupid?
