Nice TB picture for Team Athos

Baddz · 26/04/2015 11:10

Washing here too but can't put it out yet as dh is power washing the patio! Ds1 doing homework and ds2 on his iPad.
Have had a bath.
Need to get some housework done this week! Have been very lazy lately.
Dh and I have decided we are going out for the day for our wedding anniversary next month.
We don't seem to spend much time together these days Hmm

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2015 11:16

Yy, how are all the MiniWenches?

Madame - I loved the humour of it all. I liked Captain America, Thor, Bruce Banner, and Quicksilver (I think that's what he was called). I think Captain gets my vote though Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 26/04/2015 11:20

And the Blob has started, brilliant Hmm Time for Ibuprofen Angry

FurFoxAke · 26/04/2015 11:29

Morning! Hope everyone is ok.? It's all go here, I set the timer for the washing machine to come on at 7 am so got a head start on that, have peeled potatoes and am about to start roast chicken. Wwwooooot.
Um, aside from refereeing the DCs wrt gaming appliances nothing much is happening up my end.
I'd like to see the new avengers, but probably won't get to, will just have to wait for the DVD. So far my favourite marvel characters are Black Widow, Loki, Winter Soldier, Heimdall, Falcon and....Hawkeye I guess. Oh, and natalie portman's intern from Thor. Grin
I want to learn how to fight like Scarlett Johansson does. and look like she does
That castle documentary sounds interesting, might try to find that, I've been watching something called (I think) sex and the church. Which has been a mixture of wtf and and wtf, wtf and wtf men in power will do anything to keep it eh? But also quite interesting how far and yet not so far we've come.
Anyone watching critical? It's about the first hour when someone is brought into a trauma place from an ambulance. I realise I may not have accurately or interestingly explained it (Arf) but it's good. Lots of blood and guts but good.

Have a good day everyone! Hopefully I'll catch up a bit more in the week. Smile

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/04/2015 11:31

Interesting letus. After hawkeye Id definitely say thor. Hulk and iron man also. My fave bit was them all playing with thor's massive hammer

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/04/2015 11:31

foxeeeeeee!!!!!!!

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/04/2015 11:33

interesting fact - hawkeye and falcon co-starred in the hurt locker.

LaComtess · 26/04/2015 11:49

Madame Grin well it's not as totally fucking stupid as it sounds. They were doing a swimathon thing and when we got there it turned out one of the organisers was ill. So I ended up having to help. In these things they usually have two teams to one lane so one team wear hats and the other doesn't so it's easier for the counters to spot their team for the lengths count. So. Big box of different colour swim hats etc, medals to sort out, big groups of people everywhere. So I think ... 'Hmmm, nowhere safe to leave my bag, I'll go and lock it up, that'll be better (car key in jeans pocket).'. And once they were all finished, cue loads of swimming bags etc so just all piled in car and left with me never even noticing. How annoying though to drive back cos it was a fair old way and I wanted a lie in. Grrrr.

No idea what ds2 up to, but since he was a baby I've learnt that quiet =danger Grin.

Im in for Ultron, might go for Bank hols treat all together next weekend.

Big Parps for Foxy
Tender Parps for WW

Have been seeing on twatter loads of fallings out with the fenches ref this charity thing. Makes me feel v sad that people's best intentions often lead to such vitriol.

Right, court nearly free so I must go and face the brutality of teen sport.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 26/04/2015 12:08

I'm in pain and freezing Sad

ApricotCrush · 26/04/2015 12:44

Afternoon all!

Sorry you're cold and ill, WW. It's beautiful here, though the wind is a bit nippy. I'm sunbathing, I know it's bad, but I love a tan.

Have no clue about Captain America/Avengers.

Poor Comtess missing her lie-in.

Will be watching Poldark tonight. Couldn't help it, I googled 'Poldark spoiler'. Argh!

Baddz my Dh has been power washing the patio, too. It makes a bloody mess of the windows.

AnneOfAramis · 26/04/2015 13:36

Oh god. Do I need to google now so I know for sure it is the right spoiler?

IssyStark · 26/04/2015 14:30

Afternoon all.

A bit down in the dumps here, and unlike badders and ww don't even have a good reason. Have been watching the Marathon which always makes me emotional but the lethargy and exhaustion don't usually accompany it.

Have got tidying and laundry to do and have promised to take ds1 out to Sainsburys so he can buy a Lego Chima magazine. What a hectic social whirl.

Maybe cake will help. If only I had cake...

Baddz · 26/04/2015 14:42

Issy and ww
Am in bed watching Netflix.
Have done the ironing, overseen homework, had a bath, put washing out and fed dc
I am shattered Hmm

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 26/04/2015 15:26

Cake and Brew for wifey and Issy

AnneOfAramis · 26/04/2015 15:45

So bored of the washing machine and tumble dryer. I have our entire wardrobes on my bed and have to actually get dressed for party. If I don't put the clothes away now I won't do it until after Poldark.

Will just have a lie down on DS2 bed then.

MiladyBeaWinter · 26/04/2015 16:24

I'm hiding in the utility to get some peace and quiet. If it isnt the DC who want / need something then it is DH Hmm

Our utility is a bit of a shit-tip / bike store but it has a conservatory style roof (AMAZING drying powers outwith the winter Badds - I have indoor lines rigged up) so it's lovely and warm and sunny. I have coffee, red velvet cake and wenches . The feckers will hopefully never find me.

Hmm Dan Snow eh Anne? He is quite witty, tall and has a very posh accent. Not unlike a certain musketeer. I most certainly would. I liked the series he did with his Dad on battlefields too. In fact, I'd probably have fancied his Dad 20 years ago too. Will look it up on iPlayer. I'm also enjoying the new BBC4 series on the Plantagenets, though DH fell asleep in the middle of the last one so it may not be for everyone.

If you are thinking of doing a few sites Anne I'd recommend English Heritage family membership. It's a bit of an initial outlay but you only need to do a couple of the bigger sites as a family and it pays for itself. It also gives you half price in Cadw (Wales) and Historic Scotland in the first year and then free entry the following year. We use ours loads up here, especially in the school holidays. Bung a picnic and some dressing up clothes in the car and either head somewhere new or back to one of the nearby ones. Kids run feral and we sit on picnic blanket ignoring them keeping an eye out and eating ice cream. There are quite often events or treasure hunts on to keep them interested.

Hmm, sun has gone in, think it might be about to hailstone again. Took the DC to the park with bikes this morning and it chucked them at us half way round. Bloody weather.

Hope sick and down wenches feel better soon. It's Poldark later so hoping for some shirtless action to go with the inevitable cliffhanger. I read the books (though ages / eons ago) so I know what's coming. Sad

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 26/04/2015 16:55

Hola wenches.

Mojo has been missing today as feeling down re Marathon. I'll get over it.

Thought I'd post this though.

Blimey Dr Lemay!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 26/04/2015 17:02

I liked that interview - questions weren't bad for once!

Carolina2015 · 26/04/2015 17:14

It's a cracking interview. I liked it a lot

ChaiseLounger · 26/04/2015 17:23

Fox Dh and I love critical. We've just finished watching. I loved it when Clive left.

ChaiseLounger · 26/04/2015 17:26

Comtess I don't feel the same about the Burketeers and their 'own agenda' on Operation Smile.

ApricotCrush · 26/04/2015 17:39

Lovely interview with Ed Stoppard. Smile

FancyFancy · 26/04/2015 17:50

Afternoon, back from DD's school fair, so feeling virtuous. Mercifully I was based outside, which spared my ears & I even had time for a chat with mums of a couple of DD's friends who are rather lovely & good fun.

Excellent addition to the costume analysis there helen & yes, norflops would never have stopped there Grin

I will be Poldarking later madame - but whether I will be uninterrupted is another question altogether. I will be wenching unless I get too far behind.

That looks like a good show about castles anne - think I will check it out.
Likewise the 'sex & the church' one foxy mentioned

Cake for issy & for ww

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/04/2015 18:20

comtesse ah now that makes perfect sense and is completely understandable. I didnt think it sounded stupid for a minute - just like something a hectic mum would do! Grin

Im glad I dont know what is going on with the burketeers and twitter. I think twitter is mostly stupid and the internet is the work of satan.
