Fancy. ^ THAT. IS FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Omg. Im in awe of how people can do stuff like that. Genius.

Sheesh. Just watched Poldark. It's getting really depressing isnt it.

flopsy - Christ. You deserve a knighthood. (Or whatever the female version is called.) Flowers

BloodyElkFire · 20/04/2015 22:42

oh thank you Helen.

That'll do nicely.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 20/04/2015 22:49

Thanks for that Flops. I can see where I'm going wrong, sort-of. Taking 20 mins in the shower if I'm hair washing, for a start. Then 15 blowdrying. Then 10 on make-up. Then 20 mins on breakfast. Dishwasher. A load of washing done & hung out. Wiping down the kitchen sides.

But I don't even do packed lunches in the mornings & you do & STILL get out the door in 40 mins - WTF?!

Yes. Mine isn't very streamlined Grin

LaComtess · 20/04/2015 22:56

Evening all

Sad for the mini wenches. Badders, none of this is any fault of yours. It's a very complex business to try and id triggers but by recording lots of data and a good consultant I hope you'll find out more.

Issy - did you think of rubbing in some gunpowder a la Poldark? It might give him an edge in future handsomeness stakes? On a serious note, hope he's ok.

Sorry if my Lemony Snicket reference had anyone thinking my niece/nephews were orphans Grin. Nasty incident at home with a fire was the issue.

WENCHES

Please do not go out with appliances on (esp dishwashers) but also tumble dryers for washing wenches. There are lots of faults and you could end up with a nasty fire and a horrible mess to deal with. Devastating , stressful and potentially deadly. Please only have them on WHEN YOURE IN AND PREFERABLY AWAKE.

.

I've been spinning and to yoga today. But also then ate Bellvita breakfast biscuits left mistakenly in dump of car by DS1. Bollocks.

I have serious Burke withdrawal ache. I need NEW STUFF . That painting in the exhib was fab but didn't hit the spot.

In other matters, Fancy what news of DS girlfriend and greasiness factor? Did you check the Dr Chest Rug on Poldark. It's THICK.

When are we getting Sparkle's and Helen's next Lego adventures?

Where is Nonny?

Where the Folk is Norah?

And Wicked, yes I always think those trousers are thoroughly unattractive because of that very reason Grin

Xxxxx

Oh and Flops ref Bastiste or whatevs, I just never get that to work. Just makes mine look WORSE and then I just wash it anyway, cursing the feckin spray.

MiladyBeaWinter · 20/04/2015 22:56

...oh I wish. He keeps disappearing from my screen too. In fact when I first came to the thread I thought you had forgotten to add him.

Anyhow. Been out at meeting, but was in pub so not too bad. But I have IMPORTANT laundry news. My washing machine is FIXED! Waste extraction pipe had a hole in it. Probably caused by a bra wire Blush. It's a bit elderly so I thought it was a goner but lovely repair man fixed it, sorted out the dodgy door on my fridge, rehung the door front on the dishwasher and only charged me £45. Bargain.

I'd take DS back tomorrow Bads if he is still in pain. I love the NHS, and it's a million times better than anything else anywhere, but I do think unless you are easy to treat with an obvious medical answer, or you are critical (at which point they are amazing) then you sometimes have to keep plugging away to get the care you need. They won't check up to ensure it has worked, they do t have the time or resources - you have to go back. That applies to the lovely Flopsy too. Keep going back until you get the right solution for you, because to be fair there may be more than one.

Sorry to hear about Lil-Issy too. I'm a total believer in the restorative powers of coffee and chocolate. In fact I do not function without them.

Flops I do not know how you do it. I think we have the same beauty routine though, I'm a heavy user of dry shampoo and CC cream. The dry shampoo with colour works a treat when my roots need doing.

AnneOfAramis · 20/04/2015 22:57

Hola wenches. Potential arse new boss became potential cool new boss today. Told him I needed to leave early for my interview and he said 'Anne, honestly leave whenever you want, as long as the work gets done just go when you get bored. Or work from home.' I have my interview with him tomorrow.

My second interview at the publishers went well. I still really like it so fingers crossed.

Didn't hear about my other two interviews, but one I am ruling myself out of because I don't want to work there and the other was in the bag until they pulled their maths test out so not expecting great things. Overall feeling good.

Madame - glad yours went well. Fingers crossed for you.

Bads and Issy hoping for better DC.

I read my dissertation to DH tonight. His eyes were closed and I am sure he was snoring. I am still not done but will crack on tomorrow.

MiladyBeaWinter · 20/04/2015 23:00

I feel I need to point out I called dibs on the Dr (or Dwight as I calls him) 3 episodes ago.

Mine

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 20/04/2015 23:02

Comtess I have a few Legos lined up but I'm terming them gradually Grin

And oh what re appliances & going out? So I no longer have to babysit my children, but now I've got to move on to my white goods? FMA!

Seriously though - that is scary. Am glad nobody was hurt.

BaddZ what everyone else has said. Keep going back. I have the appointment for DS1 on Friday that I've been asking for for 12 years Angry

LaComtess · 20/04/2015 23:03

Ooh Paris Tom is devastatingly handsome.

I'll have the clone Elk. I'm all about safety of appliances at the mo. I'll deal with him in a controlled explosion.

Flops I am aghast at the idea of making packed lunches in 10. I'd Never manage that.

Although Sparks 15 mins blow dry I'd also struggle with. I get bored after 5 mins and just think 'fuck it'. This may explain my frizz-fest.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 20/04/2015 23:04

TERMING?! WTAF?

Tweeting.

Flopsy28 · 20/04/2015 23:06

Thanks bea, I will battle to get sorted. My plea to the doctor was, "if you could just fix one thing, I'll cope with the rest".

sparkle, the difference my love, is that you look like you, and I look, well, homeless half the time. Luckily, 5 year olds don't care.

LaComtess · 20/04/2015 23:08

MrsB what is this about dry shampoo with colour? Never heard of it!!

You can have Dwight . Yes you did Bagsy him, fair dues. And I'm really all about wet/shirt orf early series Captn P.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 20/04/2015 23:08

Or maybe I need to spend that length of time & you just don't?

I wanna be in my 30s again!!!!!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 20/04/2015 23:10

Oh, forgot I have this to post. To thank Fancy for that rear-view shot earlier. He needs to wear less of that coat in some eps. Not all the time, cos it is well FAF innit - but some of the time.

Swagger Inn: Thread 92 Right! Ades gone...Fire up the Nonny
SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 20/04/2015 23:12

....because under the coat is this arse.

And yes, it IS the 2nd time I'm posting this today. And no, I'm not sorry.

Swagger Inn: Thread 92 Right! Ades gone...Fire up the Nonny
MiladyBeaWinter · 20/04/2015 23:18

These Comtess. Bloody lifesaver when you are waiting for roots to be sorted.

When are you back Flops? It's soon I think. I've made it sound very simplistic I know, and it really isn't easy when it's you sitting in the middle of it all and it feckin hurts and just getting through the day is difficult. But I still believe that it's true. Wish it wasn't

MiladyBeaWinter · 20/04/2015 23:20

Oh and I want Cpt P too, to go with the Dr

LetUsPrey · 20/04/2015 23:28

I have been well and truly Poldarked tonight. George can fuck off the smarmy get, Francis needs a slap with a wet kipper, and Elizabeth can back the fuck off. Verity was great, Demelza is fab, and Ross ... phwooaarrr ...all brooding and handsome and good grief he looks good in a billowy shirt. And out of it.

And if we're throwing in white vests

Night wenches

Swagger Inn: Thread 92 Right! Ades gone...Fire up the Nonny
FancyFancy · 20/04/2015 23:29

Thank you accepted sparks - you do say it rather well, I could lose myself for hours in those eyes Grin

I know madame, how people have the patience to make something like that I don't know.

Have just checked out Dr Chest Rug comtess - blimey, he's a dark horse. Quite like him, but think I'll stick with Cap'n P for now.

DS still has a girlfriend, she seems very nice & I think is a good motivation re hygiene. Grin He seems to be slowly getting the message that adults need to wash more frequently, so I'm watching to see if this'll be sufficient. We have eczema & dry skin in the family, so need to be a little careful with toiletries. He is being a right grumpy fucker at the moment though

FancyFancy · 20/04/2015 23:36

glad everyone is ok comtess, that sounds bloody scary.

fingers crossed for those interviews anne

ChaiseLounger · 21/04/2015 07:23

Sorry to hear of mini bads and mini issy medical issues.

Love hearing of Anne's and Madames interview antics. Further good luck ladies.

I liked sparkles Lego terming. Assumed this meant she, in a teaching capacity, she would be releasing latest Lego scenes in a planned, timely, keeping us hanging on, but in a good way to encourage us to study, type way. Was that just my interpretation then ? Wink

Hopes Norah is ok. Sad will pm her.

Astonished/impressed at Flopsy. You make lunches? Wants to be polished and co-ordinated like sparks, but fails to achieve.

Dh gets boys up.he makes me a salad or a sandwich. Boys have school dinners. I lie in bed mn'ing. I have 1.5 hours till I need to leave the house. I have shower that takes ages, (very greasy hair means daily wash) , make up of cc cream, powder and eyeshadow swipe that takes all of about 20 seconds, blow drying hair that consists of curling the ends under, approx 30 seconds.

I wander around the house in my undies, aimlessly. Up and down the stairs 15-20 times. Why? Put a wash on. Wipes surfaces. Then suddenly it's 8.30 , I panic. Realise I'm not even dressed and the boys are down watching TV and ds1 can't find one of his school shoes or his glasses.

So I have 1.5 hours, but we still leave in a panic, but we always arrive as school early. With me looking like an unkept bag-lady.

Reviews schedule. Considers sparks and Flopsy approach. Ponders...

I have physio at hospital today. Some ironing to do. I plan to watch Poldark and revenge.

MrsB can keep the Dr. I don't like him. I like Ross's dark rug of chest hair. I like him in a hat. Only a hat! Grin

ChaiseLounger · 21/04/2015 07:25

Fancy, ds1(11) is very into cleanliness and has just started spraying Lynx. I know it's awful stuff (thanks sil) but atleast he smells pleasant.

ChaiseLounger · 21/04/2015 07:36

Ross.
You can keep your hat on.

ChaiseLounger · 21/04/2015 07:37

Leave.
Leave your hat on!
