Finally got some time to myself! I forgot the tablecloth needed ironing (sounds poncetastic I know) so ended up ironing at stupid o'clock in the evening. Anyhow stockings are stuffed, think DS is finally asleep & DF is happy as I made him welsh cakes tonight so he could have them warm off the hot plate

Happy Christmas Day to one and all.

Just got back from seeing DGS - YES... I got to see him after all.

Added bonus... The best ever Christmas present I could have received. I opened a text message this morning which was from my son thinking it might just say Merry Christmas. It was however a very loooong text and by the time I got to the bottom I was crying but they were hopeful rather than sad tears.

Our relationship in recent times has not been the best. I have given him space and time and haven't pushed for him to try to repair that relationship thinking that may push him further away. Now he has made the move and wants to put the past two years where they belong - in the past. He takes some of the blame and admits that but, blame is irrelevant really. I just wanted my son back and it appears I may have got him for Christmas.

I hope I haven't depressed you all with my sorry tale but I just needed to share it because it has actually made me the happiest wench in the Tavern today.
