Hi

OP posts:
julie4travel · 25/07/2006 15:28

marne- i think models direct were the ones that have had not too good feedback, have a look on www.albamodel.info they might be listed on their as a named and shamed agency. try a few other agencies aswell to give yourself a good choice. have you tried many? there is some agency profiles etc on this site www.childmodelling.net

Marne · 25/07/2006 15:33

We have tried a few, most have turned us down because we live to far from london, we have only had yes's from rascals, MD and debbie mcgee.

T hanks for the help i will try those web sites and see what i can find.

ellesmum · 25/07/2006 15:37

whatever u do marne stay away from models direct they are a scam and have been named and shamed, they basically say yes to everyone you give them your money and then never hear from them again. rascals is a very good agency but very expensive to join. have you tried bizzy kids? i think they take on kids outside of london. also bubblegum and kids london are very good. hope that helps a bit.

jurassic · 25/07/2006 15:37

marne - please dont go with MD they have been on watchdog and everything.
Debbie mcgee also takes everyone who applies and hasnt had any work yet that I know of.
If its a choice of the 3 then id pick rascals. though they are very expensive at least they are established and do get frequent work for their kids.
HTH.
Now I just need some help with My problem - MOT or B+B? doest anyone have any advice???

ellesmum · 25/07/2006 15:42

mot and bb are both as good as each other in my opinion so you cant really loose id go with bb personally cos ive heard great things about them but go with the one you will feel right with for your child. congrats as they are both very very hard agencies to get into. my daughters just gone with kids london.

mythumbelinas · 25/07/2006 15:46

jurassic, that is a tough one, but at least you have two very good agencies to chose from.
we rarely see kids from MOT at castings or shoots, i know they get similar jobs and i know they are good.
My dd2 has done lots of shoots with older kids from B&B .. i wish they'd pick my dd1

Marne · 25/07/2006 15:46

Thanks Ellesmum, i think we are waiting to hear back from bubblegum and BB.

lanismum · 25/07/2006 16:06

thumbs, it seems things are the same for your dd1 as my dd, they both seem a bit overlooked, awwwwww

mythumbelinas · 25/07/2006 16:12

lanismum

julie4travel · 25/07/2006 16:19

jurassic - whats the difference in cost? b and b dont charge do they? if that was the case i would go with them!

tavalana · 25/07/2006 16:20

how old is your child jurassic? two of my boys are with bruce and brown and we like them though i must admit that my ds3 gets a lot more work than ds2, they said no to my eldest but he's been accepted by kids london today so i'm pleased. heard positive things of mot as well.

julie4travel i think kids london doesn't do e-mail applications. i applied by post and got forms by post.

mrratty · 25/07/2006 16:42

ellesmum - just saw your daughters picture , she is very cute!!!

jurassic · 25/07/2006 16:44

Thanks for tne replies.
Tavalana, she is 9. I just worry as I know that it gets difficult when they get older and some agencies are better for younger kids and some better for babies etc.
MOT dont charge much but B+B are free as far as I can read.
Well done your DS for getting into KL, they too are a very good agency so Ive heard. What work have your sons had through B+B if you dont mind me asking?

lindac · 25/07/2006 17:35

Why CAN I NOT GET IN TO THE CHILDMODELING.NET opps
i cant see a forum or where the agency info is am i right
www.childmodeling.net ?

mrratty · 25/07/2006 17:39

I think it has 2 LL's in modelling. One word of advice is to diregard the agency ratings as they are just a personal opinion which has been very inaccurate in the past.

tavalana · 25/07/2006 18:23

ellesmum how do I vote?
it's clear on their website that everything is based on personal opinion.

ellesmum · 25/07/2006 18:56

it says on there to vote and the winner will be announced every sunday but ill have another look and see.

ellesmum · 25/07/2006 19:00

must of miss read it says some judges will vote every sunday i thought everyone who visits the site could vote soory all must be wrong, but im sure ive voted for a child on their before???

lindac · 25/07/2006 19:16

i found it !!
she is lovely

princessmel · 25/07/2006 19:17

I can't do it! i found the bit where it says ellemae but then there is just a cross in a box. When i click on that nothing happens.

strawberrymilkshake · 25/07/2006 19:19

hi everyone

MOT dont charge to join, but later you can go in there book which you do pay for.

julie4travel · 25/07/2006 20:30

evening all

ellesmum - i see her she looks liek she loves the camera bless her!

AllieBongo · 25/07/2006 20:39

hello all. I don't post on this thread much anymore so don't know you all, but i'm not shy. ds job for toysrus was quick and easy today. All from MOT.. 20 mins and all done, and we didn't have to go to central London. He thoroughly enjoyed himself!
