i wish i could get an agent where everything doesn't have to be paid upfront, its a lot to shell out. i am stalling paying for my kids until pay day! especially with two it soon adds up!

i know what you mean. i paid both BK & IK.
one has nothing since Nov last yr, and the other one had disappered.

MOT is a good agency!! hope they do good pics too!

Hey Julie, have you heard of Oasis Hong Kong Airlines?

it says they will be dealing with travel agencies yet not sure if Uk based ones or purely HK based ones. think the seats start going on sale next month. if they r like the other low cost airlines it will be cheaper the earlier u book

alliebongo- my DD has been phoned for availability for the toys r us job tomorrow. Then phoned back for measurements but no conformation yet. Hope she gets it but was doing other stuff tomorrow so no worries if it doesnt get confirmed as I wont have to let my friend down at the last mo!
We have the MOT photo shoot Wednesday. No one else going then?

i saw them in metro few weeks ago and the promoption fare is only £75 return, then nothing has happened since. its soooo cheap and i cant believe it!

educatingrita - how old is your lo? have you been with MOT long?

my son is 2 and a half yrs old and we joined them in Mar this year.
we're going to the shoot this friday!

togerryan- no probs - its a bargain, i just wonder how much taxes will be put on. bet people start booking them as soon as they r on sale so if i was you and interested i would try to get dates ready and as soon as they r on sale just keep checking the dates etc and book it straight away so you don't loose out on them. so many people loose bargains by not doing them their and then!

i'd booked tickets to HK via BA for xmas & new year already. but, if this is a bargain, i dont mind to book another one.
but, i cant see where i could book it. no info. have been given yet. thats why i checked with you.

Julie4travel> i take it u work in travel i worked for tomson's for 8 years untill they stared shutting down the shops i loved it especially the educationals !

lindic- i work for a new homeworking company in travel. basically my work decided to start going into home working and me and another x colleague were the ones took on to run it. it suits me as i work from home (self employed) so can take my kids to castings at short notice etc wishful thinking!!) did you work purely in tour operations? i do all sorts of work from recruiting, sales, marketing etc at the moment until all the staff are on board. we are only going to have a max of 100 staff all in all so wont get massive like travel councillors etc. I only really take 1 educational a year, I did Dubai in Jan before we moved which seems a lifetime ago.

lindic fingers crossed for u with b and b , i think i am a bit impatient and think i will just go with nc as they could start using my ds details straight away, i am worried he is missing out on the modelling side of things at moment.

hey julie nothing modelling related but i was wondering if you could suggest anywhere reasonably priced for a long weekend for ds, my pal and I?

Am off to vegas at the start of sept but wanted to take ds away before that but need somewhere child friendly but abroad. any ideas seeing as you are in the industry!!!

I was shop manager in a lunn poly shop so delt with the public but booked through tour operaters jmc etc...
i looked into working from home with some companys in the travel gazeetes etc but the start up fees was enormous so i couldnt do it

yeah im worried dd is missing out NC turned her down was thinking of going with bk but after the other nite i wont mention them again ha ha
i have an appointment at cs on the 1st of Aug so hopefully getting an appointment is a good sign x

julie> have NC told you when the next photoshoot will be? when we were with them the whole thing took a cpl of months to get going. we were acceped in the july and then the shoot wasnt until mid september so it took about 2 1/2 months before ds was put forward for jobs. i think that if you send them some plain pics beofre the shoot they will put the kids forward.

lindic - my ds is with cs, carole is lovely, he has only been with them a month or so.

on work side of things my work is not charging initial start up fees as long as you provide your own computer! i made sure of that as I have paid two lots before to different homeworking companies, if you want to look into it again and want info email me on [email protected], we charge monthly fees like the others though of 50 pounds a month.

cyan what sort of thing are you looking for and any budget etc, do you want london airports. If its Aug time teh prices are quite high though I must admit. You might want to email me on teh above email for me to ask you all the quetsions etc

cyan- nc said next shoot is 30 aug and if i submit photos prior to this they can use his details in the meantime and he will be rep by them straight away. where as i am concerned if i wait any longer he will miss out on loads more. if i put him with ts he wouldn't get put forward to anything till 01 jan when he would be rep by them, plus nc are about 35 pounds cheaper and i think equally as good.

yes Carole sounds lovely, as my dd is on the bma website she has had jobs and lots of castings, so she has had a bit of experience and she has drama classes after school so fingers crossed x

lindic- ts fees are 170 pounds plus photoshoot at 80 pounds so £250 ! Putting my dd with them as not as much interest on her as she is a more common looking blonde hair blue eyed girl. she is three 3rd aug. my ds is 6 yet small for his age. he was with scallywags last year and joined carole end june. i will have the problem of sole rep for tv work though so hence me delaying on which agent etc for him. carole is interested with my dd aswell yet i haven't booked her an assesment as was just going to stick with ts for her

right just going to pick up my ds from a drama course - its aladdin so hope he liked it. will be back on later

We've been a bit quiet of late, had to turn down a couple of jobs and castings due to end of term school stuff, been to a casting today and got a job tomorrow but arrgghhh its just to bloody hot in London #

for anyone that cares my lovely van is now broken, had a fabbo week at bug jam but it is now in need of desperate repair, back to camping for a bit

slyandgobbo - went to the Asda casting and it was just a quick in out with one snapshot taken. I was told it was a 2 day job but it now seems it will only be on thursday.

casting today was for Asda, my ds did it last year and it was a two day location job.
Tommorrow Madeline has a job for sainsburies, we are doing the supermarket rounds at the mo

We went to the new forest a couple of weeks back and overheated the engine, its been repaired enought to get us to bug jam but is only running on three cylinders and has a pretty major oil leak We are hoping it can be repaired but might need a new engine, despite it all i love it , saw a sticker which sums it up perfectly @sell my van, I'd rather shove wasps up my arse'

hi mykids good to hear that you are ok!! oh no poor campervan!!!! i too have seen iz and she is well, her dd is still a little dot but she is funny! when we saw her i asked her for a cuddle and she said noooooooooooooo. she is a sweetie!!

poor old lanismum had my monkey for the day yesterday whilst i went to lovebox weekender. she looked worn out when i picked him up but apparently him and lani were angels all day. so the cheeky boy must only play up for his mummy!!!
