Basically, my brother is in intensive care with multiple stab wounds, he is stable, but critical. So he could go either way.

At the moment it doesn't feel real to me, I feel like I'm in a soap or something! It's very surreal :(

No Love it's proper accomodation, £10 a night (first night free), just a poky little bedsit, kind of like a flat, 6 bedrooms with en suites and a communal kitchenette and dining area. The bedrooms have a single bed and a mattress on the floor. Very uncomfortable but a lot better than the waiting room chairs we were first planning on!

Oh and yes Bogey, his step brother has been arrested and charged, he's been reprimanded and the trial starts in March. No-one knows why yet though.

I still can't believe this, he'd be dead by now if it weren't for this ECMO thing. Aslong as I live I will never forget the moment I woke my mum and told her he'd come through his surgery. The look of sheer disbelief and then relief on her face was just amazing. She just burst into tears, none of thought he'd make it through the first step which was being moved!

He's 29.

Just found out that he's somehow managed to get all the way to 29 with no-one discovering that he was born with 1 kidney we had no idea!

Just wanted to add, I've been lurking since your first thread (although not posting as usually have one sickly child or another in my arms) and just wanted to say how thrilled I am that things are looking up!! Hopefully your brother continues to improve, you and your family all sound so loving, you deserve it.

Ok that's changed, he does have 2, but 1 is very very small.

So pleased to hear he managed the move and operation. He's certainly a fighter!!!

Have been following this thread and just wanted to send you and your family my best wishes and continued thoughts and prayers. Must have been a massive shock for you. So glad things have turned out well.
