OMG what is going on today? this thread is spiralling outta control, i may too have to make a departure for good as it's painful to read now, hate the bitchiness!!!

today was good fun, had my hair and makeup done so look miles better. well had to do something drastic.

hope you are all ok, will come on the thread soon maybe if it all calms down.

Im just trying to ignore the bitchy parts and just catch up with whats going on in the good parts :)

cyan · 22/03/2006 22:01

just chopped right into it and did a colour wash. i have v thick hair, and after they cut it it looked like a dead cat was on the floor as there was so much hair!!

Nemo - re. Eurokids, I have chatted with a few mums who have kids with Eurokids and none of them have had any modelling work, and also, it seems that they accept everybody.

Apparently, they are best suited for older kids who want to act, and then, they have to attend the Eurokids acting workshops (more money) to get noticed and get put forward for roles.

Hope this helps.

alliebaba · 22/03/2006 22:06

i know, why don't we all just join Bizzy Kidz Grin

Nemo1977 · 22/03/2006 22:07

Thanks imagine. The people who you know who went with eurokids..who else[if anyone] did they recommend? Am waiting till I hear from a couple of others before I jump into anything.

alliebaba · 22/03/2006 22:08

i rang them nemo when i was looking, I think they're on alba models. they seemed very nice, but turned dd down as we were too far away

Imagine · 22/03/2006 22:10

Nemo - are you looking for northern agencies in particular?

For northern agencies, I have had good feedback on DK Models (Sheffield). Kidz Ltd (Manchester) and Tuesday's Child (Macclesfield).

The "A List" agencies in London are MOT Junior, Kids London, Bruce and Brown and Urban Angels.

HTH

Imagine · 22/03/2006 22:12

FWIW, Eurokids accepted my ds and we are in the south of England.

alliebaba · 22/03/2006 22:13

mine must be ugly then...

Imagine · 22/03/2006 22:14

I'm going to bow out of this thread now as well.

I've been sharing information in the hope to help other mothers but the tone of this thread is really not my style.

alliebaba · 22/03/2006 22:16

that was a joke love.. see ya

Nemo1977 · 22/03/2006 22:17

hi imagine..I am looking at northern as I am in liverpool and also have a 3mth old so need to be able to drive to wherever the jobs are and back on most occasions.

alliebaba · 22/03/2006 22:18

Nemo, the reason the lady at euro kids declined mine was because we are in suffolk and they carry out the majority of work in Manchester etc, so anyone south of birmingham they don't generally take on. They are with MOT and Alphabet Kidz at the mo.

mimi1uk · 22/03/2006 22:24

hi there is scallywags a good agency ?? just received an email from the re a photo testing session 4 my son, do u have to pay for this does anyone know thanks alot

alliebaba · 22/03/2006 22:26

sorry love, no idea.. think you'll have to pay something though

mimi1uk · 22/03/2006 22:30

elliott brown can u send email applications to them regards michelle

LuxuryHolidays1 · 23/03/2006 08:11

mimi1uk- My son was with Scallywags the last year. They are professional and always are quick emailing me back if i need information changed on my son etc. I don't think they take everyone on yet they are apparently one of teh largest agencies. My son only had 1 shoot with them last year though which is why I have been looking at alternative agencies. Yet saying that I think i will take both of mine to the assesment this year along with a couple of other agencies and see what i feel is best.

The fees are quite high this year aswell - more than last year. The subscription fee is 175 and folio session is 100. You get a cd rom of the photos and your child is on their website which I think is a good website compared to some i have looked at.

I have no experience of other agencies to compare to i am afraid so good luck

LuxuryHolidays1 · 23/03/2006 08:13

mimi1uk- Elliott brown prefer postal applications as they say the email ones sometimes get missed. I had a quick reply within a week of sending mine. They are not a sole agency so which is a big bonus. shame my kids didn't get accepted!

tinkerbellchelle · 23/03/2006 08:20

Morning everyone...
mimi I emailed pics to elliott brown and they got in touch pretty quick and we met with them at the beginning of the month... hth

Off on a picnic with a friend and her LO today to the park... make the most of it here before it rains 2moro.
Hope everyone has a nice day :)

trace2 · 23/03/2006 08:34

Nemo1977, kidz of manchester, or matbe tuseday child! i know they get work, ds as worked along side of some from there, ds had been offered a place with eoro kids, but a gut feeling is keeping me away, also i have spoken to a few whos with them and never get work, but maybe its because they have so many on there books. also theres bright sparks of manchester but they are a sole agency

JinnyC123 · 23/03/2006 10:46

i come on here the other day to ask advice and everyone one so helpful
i came back on here to let everyone know how it went and cant believe the shyt ive read
what a turn around and im afraid i will not be involving myself in this anymroe

it seems tthat this is just a i hate bizzykidz chatroom if you ask me. no reason for it either apart from the fact that a few mums who aint had work have met up on here and wont let anyone if they dont hate them. EVERY SINGLE TIME someone has come on to say they have had work you lot have ganged up and said they ALL work for them. it is stupid?? why would they need to do that and a few of them have been writing things on other subjects and for ages.

and everyone i dont work for them either and i am off now so wont even bother staying about and read what you frustrated bored people write about me

most sane people would use htis place for advice but you lot use it to talk to people all the time. i cant believe the loads of stuff people have been putting about nothing on here. are you all housebound or just really ugly that you cant go out and talk to people and got no one that wants to talk to you anyway........

alliebaba · 23/03/2006 10:48

eh?

JinnyC123 · 23/03/2006 10:49

i was talking about the shit below what you lot were talking about
