patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 09:35

hi yackerty

how are you this morning. you sound a bit better...if you can 'sound' when you write Smile

I had it all planned last night. Nice lay in, have a long bath, yeah right. Bloody jehova witnesses put a stop to that. My head was all over the place. I am expecting a parcel on monday, the door bell rang this morning and i thought it was monday and rang down all excited thinking my pressie had arrived. not too pleased I have to say!!

anyway, feel better for getting that off me chest!

MORNING EVERYONE!!

orlando73 · 19/03/2006 09:50

hey, patz has only said she has had good experiences with bizzykidz. Seems
like you just dont want anyone to say anything good about them. I know loads
of people that have had no work from eurokids, but theres been positive
things said about them but no one was suspicious of that.

you dont own your own agency and worried about the threat of competition
with bizzykidz are you.

my husband is a film director and used bizzykidz for years, so when i had my
baby i joined them. They are very good and have a great reputation in the
industry and are one of the biggest agencies in the UK, whatever a few
parents that have had no work might say, there are hundreds that have I can
assure you! Have a look at the client list on their website.

and dont even think of casting your unfounded suspicions upon me if you dont
mind

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 10:05

orlando, i think that this was cleared up yesterday, but i see what you mean.
nice to hear what you said though, i was starting to worry myself!!

handy getting work with your husbands company, does that mean your baby gets chosen everytime??? joke of course!

alliebaba · 19/03/2006 10:09

your typing has improved dramatically this morning patz.. effects of vino worn off!!!

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 10:11

ha ha, only had a couple last night. Just finished antibiotics course so had to catch up on lost time! got a bit late tho and we only had a bottle between us (went nextdoor, nothing exciting). my mate drinks faster than me so got a glass more than me i think! most likely done me a favour

yackertyyack · 19/03/2006 10:13

Patz > Yes do feel a bit better thank you as the painkillers have kicked in and hopefully the antibiotics will as well.

This is not aimed at anyone in paticular but I am getting BORED reading the same old stuff!! And I am definately not getting drawn into any 'heated discussions' BUT does it really matter what other people think of the agency you are with?? As long as YOU are happy and are getting work then thats good for you....I am sure there are people who don't like the agency my little one is with but I really don't care!! -He is doing well with them, i get on well with them and thats all I care about Grin !!!

So can we drop the 'boring bickering' and just stick to the positive things??? PLEASE???

If not I think this thread will die a death which will be a shame as its nice to hear what everyone is up too.

Have a good weekend! Smile

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 10:15

i remember i used to be able to drink most under the table...what happended to those days??? Im a cheap date now lol . Two drinks and im anyones Shock

that was a joke by the way Blush

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 10:18

yep, agreed!! i am enjoying chatting away on here. How sad am i? I used to think that people must have really sad lives to talk on these chatrooms, but it is quite good. I am working on my computer and flipping back to see if there is a reply. Its making my work more interesting I have to say!!!

keep it nice everyone......Smile

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 10:19

ps. glad you feel a bit better. Did you have the back pain with it then (mentioned painkillers)

tinkerbellchelle · 19/03/2006 10:24

morning yakkerty > yeah reece is the same about half he has a sleep but by then Im wide awake! little buggers Grin

I totally agree about keeping this thread positive :) we all have our own opinions which is fair enough but lets just stick to positives :)

anyway just having a quick bite to eat then off plant shopping ( the fun of it LOL ) x

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 10:36

and here here again!!

plant shopping? mmm....that has given me the bug. Nice idea, tha t time of year again. Shame they dont sell them with a little man that pops out to put it in the ground. My old man is useless!! we had a light bulb go out the front a while ago. He called an electrician (£35 call out charge!) to fix it!! he thought it was broke........bulbs are normally 3 for a pound.

i will have to plant my own plants i am afraid, couldnt let him near anything so complicated!! couldnt afford it lol

JinnyC123 · 19/03/2006 11:54

hello evryone

appreciate any help if anyone can

thanx

JinnyC123 · 19/03/2006 11:57

if not...which agencys are best to avoid???? thanx

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 12:27

ive heard a few things, not good though but cant be any help on other agencies. There is a list on this site somewhere, but it is written by a mum so is her opinion only

hope that helps?

tigeryuan · 19/03/2006 12:28

welcome JinnyC123 !
i will apply to agencies with minimum cost invloved.
there are list of agencies somethere in the bottowm of this thread.. good luck.

pls let us know how to get on..Smile

Imagine · 19/03/2006 12:46

Hello Jinny

General consensus is that Juliet Adams is best avoided.

The top agencies are Kids London, Bruce & Brown and Urban Angels (all London based).

The list towards the bottom of this thread is good for more info on agencies, such as costs involved.

My son was signed with Scallywags in London when he was a baby. They are good, but very large and pricey to join.

We are now looking into agencies again (after a break) and will most likely go with Elliott Brown in Oxford (free to join and good reputation) but are still waiting to hear back from a few other agencies before making a final decision.

Good luck! :)

orlando73 · 19/03/2006 12:47

sorry everyone, i couldnt post a message yesterday for some strange reason
my computer kept crashing and wanted to reply to someone that posted. I got
it working today and put the same message without realising it had been
covered. Anyway, still got my point across which is what i wanted to do,
whatever day happens to be

have a nice day everyone Smile

alliebaba · 19/03/2006 12:47

and MOT!

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 12:56

your right about scallywags imagine. My friend was with them and didnt get a thing. i suppose they just have too many to choose from

cheapest is best, as long as the agency is good of course, then if you dont get work you've lost less than you might have done

good luck

tigeryuan · 19/03/2006 13:03

yup . MOT is good. few mums here, including my ds had jobs/castings just shortly after joining them.

PERSONALLY, i won't go with bizzykids, my ds has been with them since last nov, have heard nothing form them since.. some mums here do get works from them tho.

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 13:19

ive had work with bizzykidz too and find them really good. all agencies are different for different people though

JinnyC123 · 19/03/2006 13:31

I know bizzykidz are good cos my nephew is with them and had work, lots of it too. I no they are strict with up-dating, may be that could be the problem. I applied to them and got refused so looked abuot and found juliett adams but cant find any info on them. i think i might try mot first.thanks
