MOT are a good choice. shame about bizzykidz, especially as you have a recommendation, but i believe in fate, so perhaps yours is pointing somewhere else

let us know how you get on wont you

goodluck

JinnyC123 · 19/03/2006 14:00

yeah i know, i was gutted. might try them another time.

i will apply to mot in the meantime and let you know what happens. thanks for the tips ladies (good website this, glad i found it)
see ya

perfumelady · 19/03/2006 14:06

i think the best thing to do is say which agency we know gets work, not weither they are good or bad cause lets face it what is good for one is not always good for another. i know from reading this thread and reading others that
mot
urban angels
kids london
bizzykidz
bubble gum
inspired kidz
A&J (acting/commercials)
young uns (acting/commercials)

all get regular work, and to me that is the most important thing to be with an agency that you know gets work, so at least you know that you are in with a chance.

tink i have bumped the thread with our agencies ,that you were looking for.

cod · 19/03/2006 14:07

strawberrymilkshake · 19/03/2006 14:25

hi everyone

i have just found this site about childrens modelling, I have just signed my dd up with bizzy kidz but she was accepted to 5 different agencies so hard to choose which one. My dd is 9 i was wondering does anyone know any other sites with discussions on for childrens modelling and peoples opinions as i really enjoy the discussions.

Imagine · 19/03/2006 14:27

strawberrymilkshake - I like www.notapushymum.com

perfumelady · 19/03/2006 14:31

strawberrymilkshake my dd is 8 and she is with urban angels. another site i'm on is 'not a pushy mum'.

strawberrymilkshake · 19/03/2006 14:38

Thank you for your help. I thought this sight was just for mums with babies its good to know that there is a mix on here. Im really excited about the new agency but its just the sit and wait bit now. Do you find you have to do alot of travelling.

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 14:46

thanks for the insight on cod....bless her

anyway, travelling: depends on where the job is. my jobs have been all london but for one when we went up north to leciester for a peacocks shoot. they pay the travel though and you havent got to take a job if you dont want to i dont think?

off to mums for late dinner

speak later

patzcrafty · 19/03/2006 14:48

before i go, I'd go anywhere i was asked to take them!! just be grateful you child has been chosen!! lol

For anyone whose LO made it to the final cut of the XFM press ad, the White Stripes one was in the Observer Music Monthly today. It looks wicked - something you could frame and put up on the wall. I'm dead jealous coz my DS was cast as Bono, but they pulled the U2 ad at the last minute.

MUM007 · 19/03/2006 18:35

Hi yummymummy glad you had a nice holiday. Back to the rubbish weather here eh? Lokking forward to the Easter hols hope to get away myself. What was Gran Canaria like?

alliebaba · 19/03/2006 19:13

well, you're all here on the same day.. what a coincidence.. go on then,
1.........2.........3............

MUM007 · 19/03/2006 20:00

MUM007 · 19/03/2006 20:30

Sorry I wasnt being horrid about Alzhemirs disease I meant the acting by Johhny Briggs.

7up · 19/03/2006 20:33

his acting is almost too good, very upsetting aint it.

allie, didnt cyans boy get the white stripes job?

cyan · 19/03/2006 21:06

hi 7s hows you? ds went to casting for white stripes but didnt get it, oh well more things in life!!! hope that gorgeous little liam is ok.

cant believe i go away for a weekend and everyones arguing!

well on a lighter note am now a fully fledged well almost, yoga inspired toddler/kids teacher so if anyone wants to come to my class do let me know!!!!

allie hope you're good!

lanismum, think im gonna persuade nanny and pops to purchase the batman converses for the little man, i think he'd look rather cool, now that would be a statement teehee!!!

lanismum · 19/03/2006 21:11

hellloooo cyan, yep, def go for the batman converse, they are well sweet, he will look lovely in them Grin
did you have a good weekend?

cyan · 19/03/2006 21:17

yes it was really nice, except i got lost a million times as the place we were training at was in the middle of nowhere.

ive just read the other thread, and just think some people are just strange? why post continuosly on a subject that you have no interest in or complete disdain for? to be quite vulgar about the way a child looks is actually quite tragic?! anyways hows you? going to email you in a mo!

lanismum · 19/03/2006 21:20

im fine, did add my thoughts to that thread, but its fighting a losing battle, they think its fine to tear other peoples kids apart, but its exploitation to take a few pics of them? pisses me off!!
