Of course! I just don't 'do' confrontation... I couldn't care less who's with what agency as long as everyone is happy, especially their kids..

MUM007 · 18/03/2006 21:32

My DD is 8. Thought she may have been a bit old for it but three were age 8 and one was 9. She loved it got dressed up in some lovely outfits, had the hair and makeup done and got a day off of school!!!

alliebaba · 18/03/2006 21:35

my niece is a princess fanatic. she gets very possesive over "Snow"

lanismum · 18/03/2006 21:36

i got my dd a pegasus princess thingy dress, quite big on her but she looks soooooo cute Grin

alliebaba · 18/03/2006 21:37

isn't that barbie though... a dirty word in my sister's house

lanismum · 18/03/2006 21:38

yeah it is barbie, is that bad? i thought they were all barbie?

LuxuryHolidays1 · 18/03/2006 21:39

Hi

I have been reading through the posts and find it almost quite addictive regarding the different agencies. I am still awaiting to hear back on further agencies accepting or declining my children. Had a couple of Nos MOT, Urban Angels not recruiting as of yet, bruce and Brown. So I am still inbetween what ones I should try them with with. Basically places are offfered with sandra Reynolds, Scallywags , Norrie Carr and Childs Play. I am wondering if i should stay with Scallywags even though my son only had one job they do seem professional and up to date with Emails etc I am just a bit reluctant on their fees. Decisions. Has anyone got any good or bad feedback on the other agencies I have mentioned which have accepted my kids?

The only other thing I am thinking shall I wait till May and apply for Truly Scrumptious and Urban Angelz, god only knows what I should do

tinkerbellchelle · 18/03/2006 22:05

what have I missed?? Whats all this about intruder? I cant be bothered to read thru it all Grin sorry if its been laid to rest dont wanna stir anything up Blush

Hope everyone is ok this evening? Just having a quick glass of wine then off to bed Im knackered :)
spk 2 u all soon x

7up · 18/03/2006 22:09

luxury, id go for the one that you dont have to pay out heaps for to join

LuxuryHolidays1 · 18/03/2006 22:13

Thanks 7up. I just don't want to choose the wrong one then realise I have made a mistake. I feel 275 for the Scallywags renewal and shoot is a lot to pay out especially as we only had 1 shoot last year which was 100 pounds. I just don't want to keep being on minus figures!

7up · 18/03/2006 22:16

£275 quid!!! def wouldnt bother, i dont know why i come on here coz even tho i put my ds on AK books and i enjoy sending in updated pics, im really not into travelling round london and getting tired and hot for a 5min casting (not that weve had 1 yet!). AK was free for unders 2's, think MOT has no charge as well

Imagine · 18/03/2006 22:18

luxury - Have you applied to Elliott Brown agency? They are free to join and have consistently good feedback online.

www.elliottbrownagency.co.uk/

My son has been accepted with them and I'm pretty sure we will go with them, I got a good feeling from chatting with the owner on the phone and I've received good feedback on them from other mums online.

They do mainly photographic work and are not sole rep, so you can be with other agencies (that don't require sole rep) as well.

My son used to be with Scallywags as well, when he was a baby, and got 1 shoot in 4 months (we went abroad after that).

LuxuryHolidays1 · 18/03/2006 22:21

They didn't charge that much last year when we joined I was suprised with the increase as I would have just stuck with them as they seem professional etc. Unfortuately MOT said No so they are a definite no (shame as a no fee one would have been superb!)

LuxuryHolidays1 · 18/03/2006 22:26

Hi Imagine - Still waiting to hear back from them. I did get a No for my daughter from Elliott Brown already yet not heard on my son. My daughter is 2 and half and a lot seem reluctant to take on that age group so I have had loads of nos for her whereas my son has had the most interest. Hopefully I will have some more replies from agencies this week. I emailed Bubblegum from the address on this site today so you never know. My friend is with them and has had loads of work. shame they don't have a website to look at though. I thought most companies had them this day and age- unless I have totally done the wrong search - I do have blonde moments like that! Me and modern technology......

Imagine · 18/03/2006 22:31

No, Bubblegum don't have a website, I have looked too since they have such a good reputation. :)

How old is your son? My LO is 3.5.

Good luck to your kids!

LuxuryHolidays1 · 18/03/2006 22:34

Hi My son is 5 and half. I hope my sons front teeth don't fall out prior to when we go for assesments as they are getting wobbly - he is at that age! Its not just me not finding their website then. I know the girl I know whose kids are with Bubblegum is very happy and had quite a bit of work with them. She mentioned the offices have changed - i thought she said something like its in the owners house - yet I am not 100% on that. Think I need to question her when I see her again and if they are not a sole agency see If I can get on with them and someone like Elliott brown?

Imagine · 18/03/2006 22:43

That's a good question - I am not sure if Bubblegum are sole rep but have a feeling they might be? Most child agencies are, it seems.

Maybe someone on here will know more.

5 and a half, that's a great age! I personally think the gap-in-front-teeth-look is very cute Wink :)

tinkerbellchelle · 18/03/2006 22:45

Im not sure if bubblegum are sole rep or not as we're not yet registered just been lucky linda has put us forward for things and we got a casting. Im hoping to get paper work within next couple of days so will find out if she is sole rep then :)

Imagine · 18/03/2006 22:47

Good luck with the casting, tink! :)

Let us know what you find out re. sole rep (or not). :)

tinkerbellchelle · 18/03/2006 22:48

imagine - we had it friday :) but thank you we will find out next week I think

We will let you know if we find out if sole rep or not :)

Meant to ask which one is your little one on Radio Times?? Also, are they in the show or just on the mag???

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 23:47

i was thinking about you earlier....you will feel better very soon I am sure. I really do sympathise though...not nice at all! and yes how awful is cranberry juice? it dried my mouth out. i know loads of people that drink it with vodka...now that sounds like yuk!!

hope you feel much better tomorrow, get a good nights sleep.

tinkerbellchelle · 19/03/2006 07:42

Morning all ( what a silly time on a sunday to be up ) Reece had NO intention of letting me have a lie in! and daddy has gone to do over time this morning :)

I was looking the other day for that thread where we put what agencies etc we are with and just thought that maybe the newbies should post on it... then for people who get confused of who is with what agency ( like me ) it would be easier.

Spending the morning with my mum and dad today going to the garden centre Grin my garden needs a major sort out and I've no idea how!

Hope everyone has a nice sunday :)
