New month, new start....let's keep it clean and come into the ring at the sound of the bell....

DING!!!!

I declare the NEW March 06 thread - OPEN!!!!

OP posts:
patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 15:43

no, clients work shoots on saturdays but grays, saatchi, all casting directors, which is where agencies get work from are CLOSED

mykidsmum · 18/03/2006 15:46

pmsl I was at B and Q buying a tree, I don't spend all day here, in fact very little time at all.

mykidsmum · 18/03/2006 15:48

But for a newbie to come on here and question others credibility is a bit of a wierd way of trying to come across as nice - no?

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 15:55

But for a newbie to come on here and BE questioned by others for THEIR credibility is a bit of a wierd way of trying to come across as nice - no?

works both ways. or are you saying that newcomers have to say only what you consider as nice, be questioned and interrogated but cannot comment on anything at all unless censored by the usual posters

YEAH RIGHT

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 15:59

Ive been on here today cos just gotten over bad flu and now the whole household have gone down with it, so cant go out and bored with all the crap telly on all day.........if i see another football result I will go mad

mykidsmum · 18/03/2006 16:01

And whilst I'm at it and before i go off and continue with my saturday I will tell you why I have a great deal of suspicion for anyone who comes on here raving about BK. For the most part people's experiences seem bad, rude treatment by staff, no jobs/castings, failure to update pics etc. Then once in awhile you get an irrate BK member going on about how busy they are, how they've had no problems etc etc. So where is the middle ground with this agency, the ground which all the other agencies occupy. Everyone else's experiences of agencies is that work can be pretty inconsistent, but not for you vocal BK few who are inundated. To me that just doesn't seem a reflection of what I have come to learn about the child modelling business. Whilst the views on this agency continue to be so polarised I will continue to view them with suspicion, sorry about that.

mykidsmum · 18/03/2006 16:03

By all means question those who are questioning you, fairs fair and all that but to start suspecting others when you yourself are complaining about unfriendliness seems a bit rich.

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 16:07

jesus, that sounds like someone on a mission??????? pardon my suspicions on that one too

raving about bizzykidz? where did you get that from. someone asked if they knew about them and i answered with my experiences. READ INTO THAT WHAT YOU WILL

they have written on all their paperwork that they are approved and regulated by dept trade and industry, so i think that speaks a bit louder than your views based on what? what you decide in your own mind

and i am not raving about them again....i am with them, had plenty of work, know loads who have and like anyone with a good agency, is simply responding with my views.

dont worry, i'd be the first to complain about them if i thought otherwise. and let everyone know about it.... ive got a big enough mouth!!

mykidsmum · 18/03/2006 16:12

Based on the treatment of the majority of posters on the subject, is their opinion worth nothing? Suspect me all you like I couldn't give a flying acrobat, now really most go cyber rows are really not my style. Good luck with your lo's modelling.

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 16:20

i read someones message wanting to know about bizzykidz, replied.....then was chatting for a bit with a nice mum, then you came along and accused me of whatever you were trying to get at. totally unjustified and is enough to put anyone off coming on here.

if it werent for the fact that there are others on here i would go myself. its my little life line for a chat at the moment cos cant get out (sad I know) and turned into this rubbish

havent noticed any other posts on here from you on this thread, did you just wait for someone to write about bizzykidz before deciding to respond?

music1 · 18/03/2006 16:36

Got a letter in February from the DTI and Bizzykidz are under investigation. Apparently lots of mums wrote in to complain. In two weeks we will have the result and until then I think people should stop talking about them. I am sure that in two weeks most of the people that have complained will get the result and than we will definitely know if they are the real thing or not.

Enid · 18/03/2006 16:42

patz

I worked in a past life for lots of big childrenswear companies and ad agencies. We often had castings on a Sat morning.

So Bizzykids are under investigation. What a surprise Wink

TATA · 18/03/2006 16:44

patzycrafty - my daughter is with BK and MOT and we get plenty of work - I am just another happy mummy who gets work from BK!

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 16:45

i got a cheque from them yesterday with a remittance and at the top it said that they are dti approved and regulated?

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 16:47

hya tata, be careful, you'll be accused of working for them next......lol

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 16:54

just had a thought, if bizzykidz have got that on their paperwork (just dug out an old one and it didnt have it on) then perhaps they have been investigated and been approved already? maybe?

7up · 18/03/2006 16:55

hi all! i see its all kicked off on here AGAIN thenGrin

BK in the firing line again i see

TATA · 18/03/2006 17:26

kicked off - so immature... we are just stating a fact that my child and othere on thsi forum do get work from BK - if you think thats kicking off then thats your problem we r just putting facts to this forum.

I had no idea they were under investigation I will check this out

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 17:26

just noticed it is on the home page of bizzykidz website that they are approved by dti and got the logo there too

TATA · 18/03/2006 17:27

yes agree with patzcrafty - they are approved and this is is confirmed on their website - here here to BK!!!!

tinkerbellchelle · 18/03/2006 17:28

hiya 7up :) not sure whats happened I left for a bit and it turned a little upside down! Grin LOL :) hope everyone is ok :)

mykidsmum > glad yesterday went ok :)

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 17:31

you know what it is dont you? a few parents havent had work, which happens with all agencies (i know people that have been with elizabeth smith and had nothing!) and then they put it solely down to the agency being a rip off.....nothing to do with the fact that their child simply hasnt been picked by the client

wake up and smell the coffee ladies!!!
REALITY CHECK !!!!

of course if people complain about a company then they will be investigated. If they have been and been approved then what a result for them!! none of the other agencies have got that as a credit have they!!

go on bizzykidz!!!! lol

tinkerbellchelle · 18/03/2006 17:40

What I think it is, is that some agencies are better suited for kids than others. We have been with BK since oct and havent had a job.
A week ago bubblegum got in contact and we had a casting within a few days Grin

Im sure there are people who have had a mass of work thru agencies and others who havent and think thats just the way the wind blows :)

patzcrafty · 18/03/2006 17:43

couldnt agree more....well said!!

tinkerbellchelle · 18/03/2006 17:45

Have a nice evening everyone :) catch up with you all soon Im sure :) x
