hi mykidsmum, which one of your beauties has got the casting, one of the boys or one of the girls

tinkerbellchelle · 16/03/2006 21:08

I live near oxford and on train its bout an hour so not too bad :)
yeah DP is coming with me he's finished working till wednesday :) then starts days for 7! its a real strange shift! LOL :)

Im sorta a bit nervous only cos I have NO idea what to expect. But Im not worried either way wether or not he gets it... its to me a def good start. Linda was lovely and emailed me over the details as confirmation and was really excited for Reece. We have to write a letter and get them to sign that to confirm we attended as we dont have an invoice book as we're not even properly regsitered... we havent had forms yet.

mykidsmum · 16/03/2006 21:10

Dylan my four year old! I'm travelling in from Northampton Tink and its not too bad, nerve racking at first but you soon get the hang of things. I am great at all things public transport now, will you use the tube?

tinkerbellchelle · 16/03/2006 21:11

yeah we will be using tube. Think we have to do only a couple of stops :)

7up · 16/03/2006 21:12

is that your little boy with the long hair or short dark hair, both gorgeous

mykidsmum · 16/03/2006 21:15

short haired Grin I used to dread the tube but don't now, i think I only have to do one stop, going to Kings Cross. Can't give you advice on the casting as they are all different, some are in and out jobbies where they just take a polaroid, they seem like a waste of time, but are just an efficient way of seeing alot of kids! Others may chat with you, where are you going?

tinkerbellchelle · 16/03/2006 21:16

a place called percy studios :)

mykidsmum · 16/03/2006 21:18

No I haven't been there, sure you will have fun, are you making a day of it?

tinkerbellchelle · 16/03/2006 21:19

yeah we are meeting up with a friend of DP's for something to eat :) and then just travel back late afternoon. They havent seen DS for a while so should be nice for us all :)

Im sure we will be fine :) will have 2 let u all know 2moro how it goes

howdoyoudo · 17/03/2006 11:10

Hi

I have been watching this thread for sometime now, and wondered whether anyone had some advice for me. My little one is with Kids London, but we have heard nothing from them since joining, not sure what to do really. Thoughts please ladies. xxx

howdoyoudo · 17/03/2006 11:12

He is just 12 months, and we have been with them for 2 months. I just find that every time I ring them they dont seem to know who he is, maybe im being a bit silly but just not too happy with them at the moment.

perfumelady · 17/03/2006 11:28

howdoyoudo welcome to the modelling thread. maybe there isn't much work going to that agency for that age group at the moment, one thing we have discovered from this thread is some agencies are better for certain age groups than others. it's just a case of finding the right agency that suits you , if you feel unhappy maybe that is a sign that you should change. as you managed to get into k/l (not many people do)maybe try bruce & brown or urban angels they get alot of work for the younger ones but not sure when there next in take is for that age group. have you checked kids londons credits to see what sort of work they get? that way you could maybe work out which age group they tend to get most work for.

tigeryuan · 17/03/2006 11:32

welcome howdoyoudo !

why don't you give them a call to check out.

ds did accept by them back to Jan. i didn't send any paperwork back, and decided to join MOT instead.

anyway, after 2 mths, got a call from KL for a job. so, it did take 2 mths for KL to get a job after joining them.

if you're not sure, why don;t you try more agencies?

tigeryuan · 17/03/2006 11:41

hello perfumelady!
not many people around today.. all gone out for castings!!!

any good news for you?

Imagine · 17/03/2006 11:52

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Good morning, and I hope you all have a great day. :)

I forgot to mention last night that EB offered to represent both ds and me (I sent in a family pic with the application). I am pretty much sure that we will go with them, since they have consistently good feedback online and talking to the owner I got a good feeling.

We will give LA a miss.

So, since we are going to go with EB I reckon all the sole rep agencies are out for the time being.

I really like the UA website and approach but it seems they are geared more towards school-aged kids for the most part?

Anyway, I will keep you all updated and thanks for the advice so far. :)

tigeryuan · 17/03/2006 12:02

congs to you and your ds!!

Imagine · 17/03/2006 12:08

Thank you tigeryuan. :)

perfumelady · 17/03/2006 12:40

mythumbelinas · 17/03/2006 12:52
