I declare the NEW March 06 thread - OPEN!!!!

LuxuryHolidays1 we are 1hr 15mins(by train) from london, we are with urban angels (since nov 05) we have been offered six jobs/castings, so some agencies do take you on if you don't live in london, altough one thing to remeber a 5 minute casting ends up being a day trip for us!!!

Perfumelady - thats promising then. When my son had his shoot last year we made a day of it. Think he loved the day out actually. The only downpoint now is we are moving so changing county and his new school class any day offs as unaauthorised absence instead of authorised which could be a bit of a pain. So if i had lots of days out they could kick up I suppose!

Perfumelady>>>> My DS has a top with a slogan on it which I put him in for castings as people always comment on it and they remember it!! The photographer on last weeks shoot remembered it and he had seen 103 babies!!!!

Luxury>>>> My munchkin has been really LUCKY and has 5 jobs to his credit and a couple of castings which he didn't get We treat anything he does get as a bonus!

thanks for that LuxuryHolidays1 i missed your last question, we have been with u/a since nov 05, i wouldn't worry too much about the out of school thing we have been lucky jobs and castings have been in school holidays or after school and some times they do them at the weekends only one that we attended was in school time but it was a huge opportunity so i deceided to go with it, but one we did turn down that was in school time you would just have to weigh the situation up when you get a call.

PerfumeLady - that is great in such a space of time. This has helped me today so just wait to hear on the other agencies and then take my pick. Logging off now as got to go on a school trip!

yackerty, took your advice, spent the afternoon surfing ebay for a top with a standing out motif on the front, got a pair of bootleg jeans and a cerise pink top with a deep pink star, edged in black on the front, really stood out when i opened the page.

hello everyone, had a busy weekend, it was lanis 1st birthday, cant believe shes 1, shes not like a little baby anymore!! she wouldnt be very good for a job at the min, she fell out of her toy pram last nite and hit her face on a speaker, shes got a big purple bruise on her cheek and under her eye.

ahhh lanismum congrats on her 1st birthday.
Bless her falling :( reece today kept bumping his head on the same thing no matter how many times we moved it he kept going back LOL so he'll probably have an egg in the morning.
Hope her bruise clears up bless her

cheers, thing is, she didnt even cry, just moaned a bit, shes quite tough! shes also a freakishly good climber for a 1 year old......

ahhh poor lanis and reece......thats where having a shufflebum comes in handy!!!! My man just shuffles his way round the room (v funny to watch!) but he can see whats coming so doesn't bump himself to much!!!!

hi sha11.ive been on mumsnet since november last year.i dont post that often.dd is 9 she has been with u/a since last november. she did one job before joining them and has one casting with them.ds is 7 .i went to the same casting last year as perfumelady and chat to her via email.but i do love reading this thread to see how everyone is getting on.

Hi all. Casting went well. Busier than we thought but was so proud of ds.. for someone who won't let me take a photo he was amazing.. he even put his hands in his pockets and posed!!! There was probably 3 other boys his age/size there, tons of girls, loads of noisy, badly behaved kids, and quite a good share of catty looking women.. me and ds just sat and played heads or tails for an hour!! He was soooo well behaved. Journey was fine .. so all in all a good first experience, and only 4 hours door to door!

thanks hon. they are shooting between the 17th and 24th of March so should hear asap. he really enjoyed it so if nothing comes of it we had some quality time on our own.. he loved the underground
