Will MN HQ be able to do anything?

Thread Here

Although its not a nice thought I can only deduce from no communication that I have been ripped off for my wedding bits that I sold in good faith at a much reduced price for a mumsnetter.

I also out of the goodness of my stupid heart sent her the necklace I wore on my day for her soemthing borrowed.

I cant "believe" this is intentional as she was so grateful in the beginning.

But countless and emails and threads on here have turned nothing up

Will MN be able to do anything?

Good, FreshStart.
I hope none of us ever cross paths with SpringChicken again.
Hope you don't have to wait as long to get reimbursement from getmetickets...

I agree with colditz too - but just wanted to say I'm so glad you got it back, fs

Hulababy · 17/02/2006 10:07

Glad you got it back

As you say, time to move on.

macwoozy · 17/02/2006 10:08

Phew, what a relief for you

Aero · 17/02/2006 10:31

Have been following this and am very glad SC has at last returned the necklace as it had huge sentimental value. Didn't post before, but have had a feeling it would be returned since the money was sorted out. I prefer to give the people benefit of the doubt and SC seemed genuine on other threads. Sometimes things just get put off for one reason or another - SC may just have not been able to get to the PO when she thought she could perhaps, I don't know, but I felt things were pretty hostile towards her and I know I'd not have liked to have been on the receiving end of that. She should have explained, but perhaps felt she couldn't without further hostility iyswim.

Obviously, I appreciate that FS's faith in human kindness will have been marred by this and I do agree it took an unbelievably long time to sort out and don't condone that at all. For the most part on here things do work out and people are kind to each other and I would hope that FS's kindness will come back to her and she won't be put off forever in that respect. I also hope that SC sorts out payment for the other mner now too so that this can be put behind her. I think all of us will be more wary though now because of this and that's no bad thing.

Have to agree with colditz though re deleting the thread.

It's taken me about 30 mins to type and re-type this all out!

tigermoth · 17/02/2006 11:57

Really pleased for you fs!

Hve no thoughts about the thread being deleted p-can see pros and cons on both sides.

Rhubarb · 17/02/2006 12:21

Brilliant news! Agree with the deleting idea too (if I don't get accused of being MN Police that is!). Is someone going to ask MN Towers?

BettySpaghetti · 17/02/2006 12:29

So glad to hear this FS -I've been watching thread silently and hoping it would have a happy ending

gingernut · 17/02/2006 12:30

Hooray! .

Aero, you are very wise.

freshstart · 17/02/2006 12:45

I am not going to ask for this thread to be deleted

I just dont feel in a desperate hurry to protect SC when the same wasnt done for me

Without wanting to stir, I think that fs and batters are right. I think it may remind people that they shouldn't trust everyobne they come across on MN. Sad, but true. It is a public forum.

Because fs got paid and got her necklace back, so really just to spare sc's blushes. Although it's up to fs, it's her thread. SC has had a bashing on this thread, and I'm glad it's all been sorted now. Not saying that she didn't deserve everything that was said, but as the matter is now sorted and sc has not stolen anything, it might be nice to wipe the slate clean so to speak.

moondog · 17/02/2006 14:04

Excellent fs.
I really don't think the majority of MNers are as selfish and useless as this thoughtless individual.

krabbiepatty · 17/02/2006 14:06

I haven't followed every twist and turn of this , but it does worry me that SC might just be a person in a very bad way rather than a person who has behaved very badly...

pashmina · 17/02/2006 14:15

glad you've got the necklace - don't think it should be deleted - do not agree with censorship!! if somebody messes somebody around they deserve to be outed don't they??
