Will MN HQ be able to do anything?

Thread Here

Although its not a nice thought I can only deduce from no communication that I have been ripped off for my wedding bits that I sold in good faith at a much reduced price for a mumsnetter.

I also out of the goodness of my stupid heart sent her the necklace I wore on my day for her soemthing borrowed.

I cant "believe" this is intentional as she was so grateful in the beginning.

But countless and emails and threads on here have turned nothing up

Will MN be able to do anything?

suggested the police thing before i knew that fs had finally been paid, if she hadn't been then the offence is 'obtaining goods by deception'. i still think that something should be done on mn to stop sc doing something like this to somebody else.

I too believe in karma, fs you can rest in the knowledge that you are a kind hearted person who has done no wrong, sc has to live with the knowledge that she is the kind of person who would try to take advantage of another persons trust and goodwill, don't know how she sleeps at night

hope you are feeling ok fs

really sorry to see this has no happy ending. I don't look at mumsnet for a week and come back to this thread

So it looks like there's someone out there doesn't value other people's efforts (Zehpyrcat) and generosity (FreshStart)

Even if the non posting of the necklace is due to forgetfulness, this is looking very shoddy - she could at least have emailed you.

Have you checked spring chicken's home area to see if there are any postal problems? That's really clutching at straws, though.

Do you think she might have lost it in her home somewhere - or someone in her household has taken it? If it took so long to find your emails and get payment for your other stuff, losing items at home might be something that happens to sc rather a lot.

Whatever, I can't imagine how sc will be able to post on mumsnet now without someone asking her what's happened

HellyBelly · 13/02/2006 18:56

Well she got it from her MIL (or something like that) on Tuesday and said was sending next day via special delivery so not lost at that point. If problems with post she could at least contacted FS couldn't she. She has been on mumsnet since (thurs or fri last week) which surprises me!

Poor FS!

gingernut · 13/02/2006 18:59

tigermoth, sc will probably just change her posting name and carry on using this site when it pleases her .

Keeping my fingers crossed for you FS.

Flossam · 13/02/2006 19:02

Unless it was her who got banned last night. Then we might not see more of her. Not that this would stop her mailing FS though.

Tinker · 13/02/2006 19:05

Who got banned last night????

freshstart · 13/02/2006 19:05

Im now pretty much resigned to not getting it back so if it does arrive it will be a lovely suprise

OP posts:
gingernut · 13/02/2006 19:06

fedupofhearingit/you

gingernut · 13/02/2006 19:07

sorry, that wasn't aimed at FS, that was who got banned last night.

Flossam · 13/02/2006 19:08

Eerr, I was FedupofHearingYou, and I wasn't banned! Posted in response to the crap that FedUpOfHearingIT posted.

tigermoth · 13/02/2006 19:08

admire your attitude freshstart - the best one to have nowm, I fear

What is this about a banning?

gingernut · 13/02/2006 19:09

sorry! It got a bit confusing and I was just dipping in and out!

alittlebitshy · 13/02/2006 19:11

just wanted to bump it for you FS

RTKangaMummy · 13/02/2006 19:24

Was there a reason given for the neckalce and money NOT being posted in same package/at same time?

freshstart · 13/02/2006 19:24

RTKanga - the money was paypalled

OP posts:
compo · 13/02/2006 19:25

realy hope you get your necklace back FS and Zephrcat gets paid too

Piffle · 13/02/2006 19:26

fs has the money downloaded into your bank account yet?
I have had one or two paypal payments reversed up to 30 days after receiving them as credit cards get declined
Not sure but just to let you know
fingers crossed xxx

Marina · 13/02/2006 19:26

FS, I haven't posted on here before now because I wasn't sure what purpose it would serve, but I am really sorry about how you have been treated. It is such a shame
I do hope you get your necklace back soon.
I only saw it in passing but fedupofhearingit (not Flossam in disguise ) posted some fairly insulting remarks on several threads - especially rude on the makeup one I think - and has been banned for it. He/she knew how to parp though, so they were clearly a regular doing a spot of trolling

RTKangaMummy · 13/02/2006 19:27

Oh I see I don't really understand paypal but guess it is instant payment

Really and for FS and Zypher

freshstart · 13/02/2006 19:31

Piffle, I thought of that (cynic, moi?) and spent it almost immediately on ebay! Was buying something I was going to buy with my own money anyway so used that so it was spent quickly.

Should that sort that?

OP posts:
popsycalindisguise · 13/02/2006 19:32

Why can't SC behonest?
Afyter allthis. why say the necklace has been posted when it hadnt!

Why isnt she checking this thread to see if FS has received it?
Because she hasnt sent it!

FS has her home address (hundreds of miles away unfortunately), her work phone and email and her mobile....

I think she has had enough chances now

LadyTophamHatt · 13/02/2006 19:32

Piffle, I was about to say the same about paypal.

FS, I'd be absolutley raging by now(and I'm pretty pissed off for you now too). The red mist would have descended and I would have been banging her door down. I'm sitting here in awe of your calm and cool approach to this.
I hope you get your necklace back soon and that this is all sorted.
