We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

like josephine - friend has a daughter called this and she gets josie for short..

what about bethany? shorten it to Beth

what about Elizabeth - shorten it to Beth or Libby or liz?!?!

Alexandria - shortened to Alex or Anna?

Philippa is an excellent name! My DD, due in a month, is going to be called it. We've been calling her Pippa for a couple of months now and everyone we've told in RL really seems to like it.

I notice that you have consistently spelled it with just one p at the end - is that intentional - it's more usual with pp?

Thomcat · 02/01/2006 22:19

Beetroot - no, to both, and Pip is not a horses name - you old windbag! I like Pip so it might stick.

Kitty's nice but don't know if I would call my daughter it.

I like Millie (Amelia)

JoolsToo · 02/01/2006 22:21

Evie is nice than Pip! (sorry TC)

Enid · 02/01/2006 22:21

pippa is my dh's choice for a girl if this one is a girl tc. He loves it.

Aloha · 02/01/2006 22:22

Leave her alone! If she wants Pip she wants Pip!
There is one on the Archers. Geordie Ruth's daughter.
So Phillippa Kitty it is then?

josephine - is D's nieces name

bethany / Beth - not feeling it

Elizabeth - shorten it to Beth or Libby or liz?!?! - i don't mind Libby but prefer other names over it.

Alexandria - shortened to Alex or Anna? - I like Alexandra it's Charlottes middle name.

hunkermunker · 02/01/2006 22:29

Prefer Amelie to Nina, definitely. Pip's very sweet too.

Thomcat · 02/01/2006 22:33
