We have played with Eve / Evie for the new bubaloo but it's just not sticking, something is preventing us both for going for it, and I don't know what / why. Perhaps we'll suddenly feel it and go for it, but maybe not.

Other contenders are:

Lauren
Amelie

Last night D said he really liked the name Saskia, I'm not so sure.

It has to semi go a bit with Carlotte / Lottie (our eldest DD) and her last name begins with M and you makes a 'moy' sound.

Any comments on the names we have thought of and any other suggestions?

Pippa??? that is a horses name!

Mary Mary Mary

Tanzie · 02/01/2006 21:52

Pipi???? You cannot be serious!!! Does she have a twin called Caca?

I was at school with a girl called Pip and she was built like a brick shithouse. Most inappropriate.

Also know a Scarlett Rose who is a bit of a bruiser with red cheeks.

Beetrootoyourself · 02/01/2006 21:53

best mate has a scarlett rose (named after me

GoodKingWestCountryLass · 02/01/2006 21:53

Pip and Lottie is very sweet

GoodKingGeorginars · 02/01/2006 21:53

Joesphine is lovely, so is Kitty- would be a good middle name maybe. I was thinking of Kitty for my next - as yet nonexistent - daughter.
Could you have Laura instead of Lauren? And I like Amelie too - there was a girl at school called that and this was way before the film - it's just the french Amelia I should think.
I saw the picture you posted when she was born - gorgeous, made me really broody!

MistletAero · 02/01/2006 21:54

No word of a lie Tanzi.

MistletAero · 02/01/2006 21:56

I also prefer Laura to Lauren and I love Kitty.

dingdongmeggymooonhigh · 02/01/2006 21:57

I like your shortlist? Pippa is very nice and quite unusual round here anyway.
I love Anna and Katherine so I guess Kitty could be short for Katherine.

hunkermunker · 02/01/2006 21:58

Did you see Twiglett's suggestion on your photo thread? Amelie Kitten - v sweet

Beetrootoyourself · 02/01/2006 21:58

hunker that is sweet.
but prefer Mary

hunkermunker · 02/01/2006 21:59

Lockets, ain't that always the way? Am trying to convince DH that he chose DS's first name so that I can choose this time...but he's only gone and developed a memory, of all things! Inconsiderate chap!

love amelie, go for it. Eve is the name of a grating american tv show, maybe thats something in your subconcious, or that she was tempted by the snake?//????? Dont know, just ideas!!

Tanzie · 02/01/2006 22:06

I have an Auntie Kitty and she is big and fat and jowly.

And imagine being called Kitten when you are in your 50s. Ditto things like Fifi, and Robin for an old man always sounds daft, I think.

Could a Poppy or a Phoebe be a Pip?

Or maybe Pearl, Patience, Pia or Polly maybe?

And if Jamie Oliver can have a Poppy Honey and a Daisy Boo, you can have a whatever name you choose Kitten!

Thomcat · 02/01/2006 22:08

Okay - message from D - 'Enough with the Kitty, it's not happening, cheers but move on'!!!!

So guess she won't be Kitty, only as a pet name though.

Also we have too many Katherine / Kate's in the family already - she has 3 aunts all called Kate.

If I go for Pip, she'll be Pip to me but I like names that you can play with, so she can be Philipa in work when she's older if she chooses but will be Pip or if she prefers Pippa to friends and family.

Josephine is her cousins name which is a shame cos we both really like it.
