I am reading the latest on this thread with interest, a few days ago COD posted thunk on a thread and i said it wasnt very nice and if she didnt have anything nice to say then not to say it, and was told by ALOHA (sp?) "FGS, grow up"...and got a bit of grief, but now it has been made clear that THUNK isnt a very nice thing to add to a thread.

baublerock · 23/12/2005 23:10

LH - for basics there's an acronym list giving you all the meanings of things that opens in another window - it's at the top of the page although funnily enough it doesn't have thunk, thud, parp, 4 ...... on it - maybe it's time for an update!

tamba · 23/12/2005 23:10

Lockets, Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I remember when i first joined and you were heavily pregnant, we were suggesting baby names! Where has the time gone??

SpringCrimboTurkey · 23/12/2005 23:11

The spelling correction is worst IMHO, you know nothing about this person, so what if they aren't great at spelling. Who the hell are you to correct them. Outright rudeness

tamba · 23/12/2005 23:11

I think we need to make up a new word! If only so that I know what it means right from the begining lol

feastofsteven · 23/12/2005 23:13

I got married when i was just 18 so have never really felt young if you know what i mean. Add to that the kids and the mortgage i feel about 40!

Recently though i have been making an effort to be more my age, new clothes and things.

Mine are 3 and 1 too. They are so excited about christmas - well the older one is. Actually so am I, I love getting pressies!

Lockets, I think my real life name is perfect for any dd! although not everyone agrees with me - I love my name!

merrySOAPBOXingday · 23/12/2005 23:21

Pukka - much as I am flattered by your post - I should point out that the thunk not being a particularly nice thing to post was only my view.

As far as I am aware I have not yet been appointed chief abritrator on MN - although it is an interesting possibility

laurenholly · 23/12/2005 23:21

oh right im not married yet and have a council house

lauren is well excited she keeps saying father christmas and hohoho bless her

Both of mine still get up 3or 4 times in the night. It is driving me mad!

DS2 climbs out of his cot and ends up in ds1s bed, its sweet really but OMG i get so mad when they keep running round the landing in the middle of the night - we have put stair gates on all the doors to stop them escaping!

Do you have a partner? I have been with ds 6 years now although it seems like forever (which isnt always a good think )

Where about are you? Im in birmingham

tamba · 23/12/2005 23:28

Merry Christmas and Night xx

laurenholly · 23/12/2005 23:29

Have just read this and am shocked at LGJ's attitude and complete air of self importance This is an open forum and who are you to judge

LadySherlockofLGJ · 24/12/2005 08:27

I am only going to apologise once more for my posts, I was in a bad mood, I effectively backed myself into a corner and came out fighting.

I realise that I came across a a picky cow last night.

That is not who I am either in RL or on MN, and I apologise to LaurenHolly.

I consider the matter to be closed.

SpringCrimboTurkey · 24/12/2005 09:02

Fair play Sherlock. I absolutely despise apologising even when I know I havebeen wrong
