I won't pretend this thread is anything other than pure nosiness - what are your children's main Christmas presents this year? I know this will vary according to age, but I'm trying to get a feel for what will be exopected of me when dd grows up ... and how much £££ I'm going to have to save for it (gulp)

This year DD (14 months) will be having a ride-on-car and 3 cuddly fimbles as her main present.

DS1's main present(4) is a bike.

Poshpaws · 03/12/2005 15:52

Ds2 only 6 months so too young to have a main present. All toys seem to be pretty similar for that age group

charlietherednosedpussy · 03/12/2005 15:53

dd2 age 4 polly pocket rollercoaster 25 quid dd1 something of the same price range, age 7 plus a couple of 9-99-14.99 pressies, a few fiver ones and loads of under a fiver art and crafty bits and bobs. Like paint your own stone and fridge magnets etc

OnZephyrstDayofXmas · 03/12/2005 15:55

ds is 18 months and is getting a big garage thing from elc...35.00 but not much else from us as he spends his whole life playing with his sister's stuff!

DD will be 4 on xmas day so is getting her first bike this year - roughly 60.00

hellsbellsdownunder · 03/12/2005 15:58

dd 13 a trampoline, and ipod.
ds 18 - not decided yet but today when he came home from school he said he needed a DJ - so quick trip to M&S and it cost well over £200 by the time we'd got the shirt and shoes too!

spykid · 03/12/2005 15:59

DS1 - 12 is getting a bike DS2 - 7 is getting a Robosapien.
They are both getting portable dvd players as well but they were free so don't count when adding up the cost!

It does get a lot more expensive as they grow up

GoodKingWestCountryLass · 03/12/2005 20:22

DS is 4 and he is having a Buzz Lightyear and the Playmobil plane. DD is 17 months and she is having a baby Chou Chou and the Graco buggy set with car seat etc. Bear in mind having an older child we already have ride ons and plenty of cuddlies

biglipskissinunderthemistletoe · 03/12/2005 20:27

hiya bibi - my baba had got a aquadraw deluxe and my SD (who is dd's half sis and she is 6) she got a craft table thing to do her crafts and drawings on it..

merryTissmas · 03/12/2005 20:29

dd(3) is getting a Baby Born £30-ish and a pink fleecey hotwater bottle £15. What she asked for!

puff · 03/12/2005 20:29

ds1 - playmobil pirate ship (reduced from £60 to £30)

ds2 - playmobil aeroplane (reduced from £30 to £20)

OhlittletownofEIDSVOLD · 04/12/2005 08:41

dd1(3yo) and dd2(1 yo) are getting a clam like sandpit/swimming pool together and then dd1 - fairy trike and dd2 a flip out sofa as she keeps trying to sit on dd1s which leads to all sorts of issues.

THOMCATsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 04/12/2005 08:49

Well Lottie's main present is actually not from us, LOL. Her beautiful Auntie wanted to buy her a rocking horse, my MIL is getting her a train set and my mum, well lets not go there, she goes mad , so our main presents to Lots are a new Leappad book system thing, the cinderella pumpkin coach and horse etc and a aquadraw and then tons of smaller things.

She also has a birthday on the 17th so finding a home for everything in the new year is fun!
