when did you lose your virginity?

hi, i seen this topic on another forum and what an array of answers, so was wondering what it would be like on this forum.

i was 14 and he was 35 years older

I was 14, he was 17, and my boyfriend of 1 year.

No way was I coerced into it at all, he was very nice.

I was 13. At 14 I was forced by a friends boyfriends brother's friend. When he let me out of the room I found my friend was in bed with her boyfriends brother.

13 was far to young. Truly regret this now. I felt I was old enough at the time.

The scary thing was, my parents had no idea at all. My mother gave me the "Now you will soon be wanting to have sex" talk when I was nearly 16, and I remember thinking how little she knew about my life, that she didn't even know I had been on the pill for two years.

And yes, I do think it is a good idea to give teenage girls contraception without parental consent, because I would have had sex anyway, and without the pill would probably be another statistic with a 10 year old at 25.

It is so sad that so many people were pressured into having sex/ raped. How awful! You must all be tough ladies.

What do you think that we can do to help our kids avoid the same thing happening?

yep my parents had no clue either

i actually lost mine while on holiday in morocco, the guy was moroccan (i shudder to think about it now) my mum and dad let me go off with a english girl staying in the same hotel as us, we met the 2 guys then got in a taxi with them, not knowing where the hell we were going (they could have killed us, no one knew where we were)...

i cant believe how irresponsible i was, but at 14 you dont think about consequences.

I hope that I can talk to my daughter openly. Find out how she feels about it. Guide her and let her know that its ok to say no.

I guess I shall have to see when it gets to that sort of time. Like Juice said I think I will be more aware of what to look out for.

i was "forced" into things twice, once from age 7- 11 yo, and again at 12 (different person)..one was a family member, other was a random, dirty old man...

i swore blind when i was pg, if my baby was a girl that i would never trust anyone alone with her, EVER.

HMB, unfortunately if your 14 year old wants to have sex, she just will.

For those in danger of getting pressured, a high sense of self worth is essential. Being able to say to yourself "This is not the only chance I will get, and other boys will want me when I am ready!"

And don't do what my mother does, and leave your 15 year old daughter (my sister) home with her 20 year old brother to 'look after her'.

He won't. They will have parties. It is for sure.

Tell her how beautiful she is, even if she argues that she's not, has gorgeous hair, a lovely figure, and is generally clever and lovely.

It does work, my nan used to do this with me whenever my parents were being a bit vile, and it made me feel so valued.

15 years 11 months exactly. Didnt particularly want to partake either but was very much under the influence of banned substances he had provided.

Remember mostly the weather was on TV so he obviously couldnt have lasted that long.

A*hole.

Similar experience 3 years previous but managed to get away that time.

Its so sad to find out that there are so many that have had this kind of experience.
