Oh yes, delegate is the key when it comes to riunione di condomunio Grin

I think that joining the gym has been a bit of a risque move on my part, as I find the environment a bit overwhelming.
I wanted to do ashtanga yoga, but the one closest to where we live holds courses for beginners that are at impossible times for me. The gym I joined has a good choice of yoga/pilates etc courses in the mornings, so hopefully I'll be motivated to go!
And I agree, the best thing for the a healthy back is movement and exercise.

BananaGio · 29/11/2010 20:33

ooh well done Franca!
Bloody rain!!!! Fed up with it. I spent 2 hours wandering around to get to a farmacia that was open yesterday in the rain because we discovered that once again we have pidocchi!!! Again!!! Quanto mi fa schifo!!So now have a stock of killer shampoo. Add to that dp moaning with man flu in the background.... Not the best Sunday.
Franca loved HP- Am such a HP addict though it would take a lot for me to not love it. And no FB still not working properly!
Had to laugh at Berlusca this morning when it came out that while all the other world leaders were stressing re wikileaks his reaction when he was told of the content was to laugh. I guess saying he is a weak and ineffectual leader is somewhat tame compared to what he is used to!

I think snow is forecasted here for Wednesday. I'm already fed up with winter weather.
Bleah at pidocchi, evil creatures.
I didn't know you were a fan of HP. I only watched the first one (Shock, I know!) and I loved it!

BananaGio · 29/11/2010 21:03

ooh yes biggest HP fan ever. Am embarrassed to think how many times I have read the books. My ultimate comfort read after a day of clients peeing me off!

Pilates is great for your back Franca I am sure it will do you wonders ! Gio nits and man flu ...night mare !My sister swore by excellent conditioner like that Garnier stuff in a pot and then a nit comb. The blighters can't stick to the conditioner and they come out. She did hair washes nightly for I don't know how long ..ONe of my niptione has very thick long hair and it was a nightmare.
Mega cold here but thankfully no rain. We have high water (AGAIN) forecast in the morning. This morning it had gone down by the time we left the house but domani ist 40 mins later Arrgghhhh It has been every week since October ands its getting a bit waring ( and worrying)

Sputnik · 30/11/2010 12:55

Yes we got a nit comb from DD's school, you have to comb through with conditioner I think 3 or 4 times at 3 or 4 day intervals. Apparently they get immune to the shampoos. Thankfully not needed it yet though.

Francagoestohollywood · 30/11/2010 14:32

Oh this morning I did 1.5 hr of hata yoga... I moved muscles I wasn't aware existed.

It's grey here, and cold. I should take the dc to the swimming pool this afternoon, but non ho voglia!

spooktrain · 01/12/2010 08:04

morning ladies! loads of snow here, how is it with everyone else?
I need some tree advice: we haven't got our tree yet, we chucked out the old fake one last year because it was getting really ratty, and this year I want a real one, DH no because of the mess (he is the house proud one in the family). I'm not sure if either is going to be compatible with a puppy that bites everything though...so real or fake?

Also, just got an email from Amazon, free super saver delivery to Italy. My credit card is in for a battering, I can just feel it

minervaitalica · 01/12/2010 09:22

Fake all the way for me until DD grows up! I can just see her trying to get off all the needles...

Back from London - I was saved from the snow but it still took us 15 hrs to get there on Thursday! Bergamo airport at 3am is marvellous [sceptical]

Praying we do not get pidocchi as there are a few cases in DD's school... Surely they don't like ginger hair?

Rosa · 01/12/2010 09:53

We have a fake one actually I must remind dh ... Then i get some branches and make a wreath if I have time and also an arrangement so I have the smell of fresh pine but hopefully without the mess. 15 hrs thats amazing last year it took is just about that to get to Cornwall with the snow and closures! Sorry but my nipotina is chestnut/ dark ginger with red bits and nits liked her......

Francagoestohollywood · 01/12/2010 13:05

We have a fake one. I'd love to have a big, real one, but wouldn't know how to deal with it once Christmas is over.

Bergamo airport is one of the worst airport I've ever seen.

It is wet and miserable here.
Does anyone know about esofagite da riflusso?

Rosa · 01/12/2010 13:14

Franca if you get it from Ikea you can take it back there and I think you get some money back or a voucher or something.... Its dec I must plan my trip there and what I need Mainly curtains I think but I am going to cut them all short so it seems a bit of a waste unless I can get 2 curtains out of 1 !!!!
No idea re reflux ...Are you suffering?
Totally FOUL FOUL here .But Dh has just come in and says its stopped raining. He was at a centro commerciale ( after an early meeting in an ufficio)and I gave him a list of things to do guess what he did 1 ...He came home now and said he diddn't have time FGS.....

Francagoestohollywood · 01/12/2010 13:23

Foul weather here too. Wet, wet, wet (with a hint of snow in the morning) and really cold.

Yes, I knew about IKEA, but I'm not sure I'm organized enough to take it back once Christmas is over. I might try next year though, it'd be lovely to have a real tree Smile.

Grrrr at dh rosa. Mine is the same. I've asked him to buy the filters for the Brita 3 days ago (he works near a darty) ... no sight of them yet.

Yes, I think I'm suffering from it. I should ring the doc really, but I already know she won't have a posto for weeks Hmm

minervaitalica · 01/12/2010 13:53

What? Ginger hair can have nits? Here is my theory on the genetic superiority of ginger hair gone. Damn, will have to buy nit comb.

Sorry Franca, no idea re: esofagite. I am shocked about the GP waiting list though. Full even in the mornings?

BananaGio · 01/12/2010 13:54

fake here as well due to extensive allergies of DP. Would love to splash out on one of those really amazing expensive fake ones but not going to happen so will have to make do with my Oviesse one! No idea re reflux either here am afraid Franca. Rosa my DP exactly the same.
We watched Baciami Ancora yesterday on Sky. Found Accorsi irritating as ever and film v depressing! Not one person who wasn't in midst of crisi.

OP posts:
Francagoestohollywood · 01/12/2010 14:21

Yes, my GP is always fully booked up, so my only option would be to go there and wait until she can see me for 5 mins between appointments Hmm... but I can't go tomorrow and Friday... argh.

Ah, I'm not surprised that Baciami ancora was disappointing. I find Muccino's movies incredibly lame and irritating. And well, Accorsi is our cazzone... do you remember the pic posted by Pippi ages ago? Grin

Rosa · 01/12/2010 14:39

Only thing I can say is that she must be a good doc Franca ....either that or she doesn't work enough hours. Can you not call her and see what she says? DH is now in bed after his exertion this morning I bloody hope he doesn't think that I will be taking minirosa out to collect dd1 after my heroic acts this am.... a university student pushing the buggy through the aqua alta whilst I carried dd1 then after dropping off minirosa with dd walking behind me due to the strong wind and me hanging onto her brolly. I then carried her and the umbrella round the mega windy part to get to the materna it was that or wading through water... I got soaked in it all . Then soaked again going to get minirosa and I am about to get wet again ! All because I had a dietologo apt and missing that means a wait of 2 mths......Right off to dump minirosa on a sleeping dh I think with a soggy biscuit that she can give papa !

Rosa · 01/12/2010 14:39

As for Baccami ancora Like the music but nothing else appeals.....

Francagoestohollywood · 01/12/2010 20:53

I think she is a good GP, but also does not so many hrs, imo.

Rosa, what nightmare! How did it go at the end, how much wet did you get?
I took ds to the dentist after school, who is on the other side of town. We got there early and spent some time in the Feltrinelli where ds fell in love with those big photography books about mountains...
To go back we took the tube, get off at Duomo and, instead of taking the tram, we took a taxi as we were both knackered and cold.

As a treat, I let the dc put up the tree after dinner, so they went to bed 15 mins ago!

Sputnik · 01/12/2010 21:11

The acqua alta sounds awful, I'll never complain about the school run again!

Clearly none of you have been to Tirana airport.

Francagoestohollywood · 01/12/2010 21:18

No, never Grin.

Sputnik · 01/12/2010 22:06

Try to keep it that way!
Bloody hell, DS just fell asleep now, as he fell asleep for 1/2 an hour before dinner. He is going to be a wreck tomorrow, and we are going to see the speech therapist for the 1st time in weeks. Grr.....

Francagoestohollywood · 01/12/2010 22:16

I haven't travelled that extensively, but I find Italian airports quite disappointing (in fact flying from the airport in Madrid to Malpensa is a good example)

Btw, oh no, poor master sputnik! I'm impressed at him falling asleep before dinner though!

Sputnik · 01/12/2010 22:22

I try and stop him having a nap now at all costs as it usually means he wn't sleep later. Then he still gets up at half six. Oh well.
