I watched tables and chairs from our local Prezzo get blown over, picked up and blown into the road. One chair hit a passing van, which slowed down and tried to steer the caught chair back to the side of the road. Whoever at Prezzo thought people would want to sit outside and eat in the wind and rain needs their head looked at!

Eek! I need to go out into the garden to check whether my plastic greenhouse has been blown over or whether any more of the fence has collapsed.

Well.... A back pack may be over kill. But definatly remember not to go near the creepy hill top castle at dusk or if fog is drifting in from the moors.

Hmm. Not many hill top castles or moors around here, so I think I should be safe.

BrotherScout and I have had a good week together. I almost forgot how much fun he and I have when left to our own devices.

Not-so-small-boy-SmallBoy is a big boy five now and so excited. He's had a good lead-up to his birthday (family party on Saturday) and a good day today. His friends party is on Thursday. On Friday he has not one but two exciting Halloween events/parties. He's having a very busy, party sort of week.

I, however, am exhausted.

I've just realized it's LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!! until the Scout Troop packs up camp and travels afar for Thanksgiving. WAHOO!!!!!

The Scout Troop has packed what feels like the entire Scout Hut, including camp stoves and washing stations, and is off to Home Camp in a few short hours. Yay!!!

Happy homecoming scout. Hope you are not snowed in.
We have a phone line again at last. Only 12 days of no telecommunications copper linking the house to rest of the web.

I'm off to get cakes, who wants what.?

Snow is north/northwest of us. They already have five feet and are expecting another three. I have friends up there and hope they are okay.
