We slept well last night , got up at 20 to 8 ,could not believe it 😁.
9C here chilly but dry ATM . Dark and dank though. On our way to see Mum hope the water stopped coming in and you slept well afterwards

Morning all.
Its stopped raining and wind has dropped thank goodness but rain is supposed to return later this morning. Got mat outside to air a bit, sheet down to soak up water from carpet, stuff in wash. Arghhh. Wind to be bad this pm till Sunday pm. Oh joy.

Oh what a nightmare @Thebookofcarolagain . You really are so unlucky with this weather! 😩 Hope you manage to get everything dried out and the rain stays away long enough for you to catch a break bless you . Fingers crossed the wind doesn’t cause any more problems. What a way to spend your weekend 🙄.
Just back from seeing Mum she was fine there thankfully 😊.
Popping up to see my friend and give her her birthday presents and cards .
Well DH is watching the football so l thought , lm not a celebrity let's get me outta here lol 🤣.

Not raining first thing so went out and put plumbers tape on outside window frame in door. Wood is rotting and cracking...

Sealed it with electrical tape (got no duck tape) . Rain started again and now quite heavy but no real wind driving it into door yet, that's to come later. So far door is dry. 🤞
Ds got called into work early so his shoes aren't completrly dry. Put heating on and put his coat on radiator too as cuffs still slightly wet. Coat was fine but shoes not completrly dry when he left. His work shoes are wet at work too. What a mess of a place! Apparently is all dried out now though...till it starts again tonight! Will prob have to go pick him up if weather is to be believed.

Back from my friend and just had beans on toast and a nice cuppa coffee ☕. Windy and raining like hell here 🙄. Oh blimey@Thebookofcarolagainyou’re having a right battle with the weather! Well done getting the tape on before the rain started, hopefully it’ll hold until you can get the frame sorted properly. 🤞 . What a nightmare with your DS’s shoes as well, especially when everything’s only just dried out! Sounds like you might have another trip out later if the weather does what they’re predicting. Hope it’s not as bad as they say bless you 🤗

Oh no, fingers crossed that door holds and you stay nice and dry @Thebookofcarolagain! 🤞 Definitely best to pick DS up, especially with the weather getting worse. Bacon and egg roll sounds yummy 😋 . As for falling down the Sound of Silence rabbit hole again, you'll be an expert on every reaction video before long 😂 .
Windy has got up here and raining like hell 🙄. Extra hour in bed tonight don't forget everyone 🤗.

Just checked door, its dripping from under letterbox. Obviously didn't seal it enough😡 Have wedged curtain up against door fingers crossed.

Finally finished latest Skyrim story...3 attempts fell asleep twice, last 2 nights before the end 😄

Been watching Bob Ross, I had forgotten how relaxing watching him was. Love how he creates such beautiful paintings out of a few random strokes and they just grow.

Off to Home Bargains, Tesco and Asda this morning. Got to get a few bits and going early because DH wants to watch yes you guessed it , a football match this afternoon 🤣. Obsessed or what 🙄.

I love Bob Ross, he's so calming to watch . It's amazing how he paints away and before you know it he's painted a lovely picture . He makes it look so easy, I know mine would look nothing like his! 😂 I am useless at art 😁.

At least it’s dry for a change for us , although freezing for you @Thebookofcarolagain🥶. 13C here so it's not too bad ATM . Hope you have a lovely Sunday and manage to keep warm . We are just setting off, washing on line 1st load nearly dry, Dd1 is going to change the load over in an hour for me bless her. Hopefully a few bargains we shall see 😁.

I washed two of the sheets I used at the door but havent put them out as they will just spin around the whirly in this wind. (i doubt they would even stay on the line!) @DirtyGertiefromno30

I got to go shopping next week, I thought i had loo rolls put away but don't! Plus I need a pumpkin. Just getting one this year. If this weather keeps up not even putting decs outside. Will decorate the window as usual.

I wouldn't bother putting the sheets out in this wind either, they'd be going round like a fairground ride @Thebookofcarolagain! 😂 Horrible when it's so windy and the rain . Hope you get the boys where they need to be without getting blown away 😁! You'll have to get your loo rolls and pumpkin next week then 🎃 😁 . I don't blame you leaving the outside decs off if the weather carries on like this, your window will look fab it always does 🤗.
Had a few bargains on the reduced fruit and veg in Home Bargains, and on the Costa Drinking chocolate in Tesco down to £2.50 instead of £3.85 so l snapped them up . Going to fill up in the cheapest petrol station we have found . 166.9 per litre instead of 172.9 by us . We were here anyway so sorted out thankfully. Just finishing off shopping in Asda and then home ☺️
