Got the bloody useless tap on the door. How they expect people to hear that from a back room i dont know..
They sent a plumber but its fine. Apparently there was a watermain bust on other side of town yesterday which seems to be affecting everywhere. We have water now but pressure isn't up to speed yet. Ran all the taps to clear it out as stained brown. Fingers crossed.
He is also gonna tell HA I dont have a key for boiler.
Ds2 has suggested chippy tea tonight. Sounds good to me will get it and go to chemist at same time.

Oh bless you @Thebookofcarolagain what a palaver just to get the water sorted 🙄! You were lucky you had those bottles tucked away so you could clean your teeth. You don't realise how much you take for granted till it's gone do you. 🙄 Hope the pressure gets back to normal soon and they sort the boiler key out for you too. Chippy tea sounds lovely, a nice treat after all that hassle! Hope you get on alright at the chemist too 🤞🙏🤗.
Just coming home from Mum she was fine there thankfully. Raining like hell here and only 9C , cuppa tea time 😁👏.

Irs cold and windy here but not that bad!
Gonna do all our errands at once, eillmirder the chippy then go to shops then pick up.the chippy. I need to get BBQ sauce for ds1 i though i had some in cus but its all brown sauce! Wont need that for 6 months😃 Going to general and chemist so saves all the trips.
Still blooming cold. Theres strips of beautiful blue sky at back of house peeking through the clouds, why isn't it the other way round???

At least you’re getting all your bits n bobs done in one go @Thebookofcarolagain, saves having to keep going out in this cold 🥶! You’ll be stocked up on brown sauce for the next 6 months now 🤣. Hope the chippy is gorgeous 😋 . And the prescription is there!! 🙄

Tea was good @DirtyGertiefromno30 and ds2 had bought Lindor for a friend's birthday yesterday and they were still on offer today so he bought himself a box and gave me 3 for my pud. Bliss😄 Saved one for tomorrow.

Weather is 12° c windy as hell but it's not raining, so I have chucked washing on the line in the vain hope that it will at least get a bit of the wet off, fingers crossed 🤣. I have also had a go at making mince pies with my own gluten free shortcrust pastry wot l have made 🤣 and I have to say ,although the pastry falls to pieces as soon as you attack it ,the pastry is lovely so I have two lots of pastry in the freezer ready for my mince pies for Christmas 😁hallelujah.

Sunny (ish) now but wet and dank all morning.
Attacked kitchen and washed diwn everything. Emptied out 2 drawers and one is all tidy and organised into better tubs and have the tubs of the other soaking while I grab a coffee. Mostly make up and odd useful things in there. Was ruthless and threw out old make up which wasn't fun as hardly used but been sitting there a long while. Will get new make up at some point and use it like I used to!
Floor is next then onwards....

Ooh you’ve been busy @Thebookofcarolagain! There’s nothing like a good sort out , although it’s annoying having to chuck make up you’ve hardly used out 🙄. You’ll have to treat yourself to some new bits when you fancy it. Enjoy your coffee before you tackle that floor 😊☕.
In my fourth load of washing. Changed the duvet over to the 13.5 tog so changed all that bed , got the Teddy fleece duvet set on now . Nice and warm tonight now . I am part drying the washing on the line well pegged down then finishing it off in the dryer and it seems to be working 🤞😁.
Had a bit of the mince pie for dinner and a cuppa , they have all tried it and said it's lovely thankfully 🤗 😁
I had to make them it's one of my favourite things to eat at Christmas 🎄 🎁 😁

Got a letter from HMRC was panicking wondering what the hell they wanted now.
It was a tax rebate! 😱 Last place was so useless they couldn't even do my tax right!
This never happens to me! Straight into savings to replace car costs.
Will have to trail into town as we have no banks here now. Hey ho.

Bet your heart sank when you saw the HMRC envelope, I’d have been thinking oh God, what now! 😁 What a bonus though, especially when you can put it straight towards the car costs. Shame you’ve got to trek into town to pay it in though, typical there’s no banks left anywhere! 🙄
And yes, the mince pies have been a great success so my Christmas is definitely saved! 😂. Just need to keep on top of the washing now and I might actually get somewhere!

I’ve finished all the washing and drying and it’s all put away now, so I’m having a cuppa and putting my feet up for a bit too ☕😄. Got confirmation my phone plan is paid off today (after my crazy phone call i am very glad) so that's one less thing. Wasn't a fancy new phone so not hundreds a month but thats a teeny bit more in my pocket. 😄😄
Everything done except for the new pile of dishes from mine and ds2s tea. He made himself something before going to work but left the dishes, how kind 🤔

Had a hood natter with ds while he waited for his delivery. Credit cards, mortgages, USA lunatics, gaming going down n the tubes thsnks to PStation, ridiculous expensive obsessions promoted in USA. Was great. Ds1 got chips and curry sauce so I pinched 2...yummmm. bet you can get a bottle of that somewhere or make your own. We have chip shop brown sauce so prob can.
Fell asleep for a bit once I put my fleece and heat pad on!

Been to bank and looked in 3 charity shops on way back and got nothing. 😱 looked in Sports Direct for joggers for ds1 just to price them for Xmas. Gonna see what bulbs they have in the big cheap shop before I leg it home. CBA.
Its a decent day thankfully although I am layered up!

Home again. I got 3pkts bulbs. 2daffs and one small fancy tulip. Went into B&M its all revamped and looks bigger although its not. God such a lot of tat! The halloween stuff is crazy. Got toothpaste!
Washing is out, kitchen compost into bin and i am sat down with a coffee. Phew!
Not even thinking about planting bulbs😄
I think i have one pkt of daffs in cus too. So need to get tulips next week. Will need to tip out my pots, rescue bulbs that flowered this year and refill, oh what a thought.

There was loads of Xmas stuff in charity shops @DirtyGertiefromno30 but I was very good and didnt see anything I actually liked enough to buy cos i dont need anything. No jumpers that grabbed me, no homewares, no books nothing. Bit disappointing but saved me my pennies.

Brilliant you got your bulbs and toothpaste and managed to resist all the tat in B&M and the charity shops! 😂 . I’d be sitting with my coffee too and not even thinking about planting those bulbs yet, plenty of time for that! Just on our way home now, Mum was excellent there thankfully 😊.
