just had a quick skim read of the posts , glad to see you are still gossiping away 😁
Dirtie , wow I didn't even know you could still get gluten free stuff on prescription , so go your GP ! one of DD2\s step daughters cant eat gluten , but she mostly has tortilla wraps instead of sandwiches , and the plant based pasta that is fairly easy to get hold off now . Pizzas are a favourite , and there seem to be a few to choose from . Hope its all worth the effort {hugs) /
Please don't think you have driven me away , its just that these days , I rarely come on MN , life has changed so much over the last year and its usually later when I read the posts , and cant get my brain in gear to write anything!
BookofCarol - ask the doctor about an alternative iron supplement - they always proscribe the cheapest version , not neccessarily the best one for your digestion . Worth an ask at least 😁
I have been steady away this week , housework done , some sewing - I goit t-shirts for the twins made .
We had the joy of being with them when they got on their new bikes this week - (they were birthday presents which had to wait until they came back from their holiday to try out) .
Tomorrow we are off to DD1's house to finish fettling a few bits , and to try and start sorting out her little backyard ready for her plants to go from here - I have looked after them as well as I can , but the watering has been a right pain.
At least it has been a bit cooler the last few days - especially at night , thank goodness . Just need to let my body know it doesn't need to wake up in the middle of the night 🙄

So nice to see you @bookbook! And honestly, don’t worry, I completely understand about not getting on MN much. Life changes and sometimes when you finally get round to reading everything your brain just isn’t up to replying! 😂
I was surprised about the GF stuff on prescription too, so I’m definitely going to make the most of it because it is so expensive for bread, pasta and cereals they are 3 times the price of ordinary ones! I hadn’t thought about tortilla wraps, so I’ll give those a go. And GF pizza is definitely a bonus! 😂🍕
Your week sounds lovely. How sweet making the twins their t shirts and then getting to see them on their new bikes. Bet they were so excited finally getting to use them! ❤️
Good luck at DD1’s tomorrow. Hope you get everything sorted and can make a start on the little garden. I bet you’ll be glad to get those plants moved over after all the watering! 😂
And thank goodness for the cooler nights! Although I’m exactly the same with waking up in the middle of the night. Why does our body think 3am is a good time to start the day?! 🙄😂

Yes our bodies are never happy are they? Moan about being too cold then when its warm they complain even more and wake us up to tell us.🙃

Off to see my friend this morning and pick up my carrier bags full of gf food from the pharmacy 😂.
I am thinking l won't use all the stuff tbh, don't want to sound ungrateful but it's very much a trial and error sort of thing at the moment . We shall see 😁. We definitely need our blether time to put the world to rights @Thebookofcarolagain 😁.

Another cloudy day here. Can see blue sky on open patches so fingers crossed. Supposed to be sunny this afternoon, will see.

Weather smeather!
Been out on raised area. Pulled all the damm green plants out, I think its a kind of euphoribia, it gets everywhere. Want only what I plant in there next year. Got cowparsley seeds, fox gloves and aquelegias. Raked the ground a bit then threw seeds down plus some forget me nots. Fingers crossed some will germinate and I get more cow parsley at other end at least.
Went to cut poppy seed heads and was there 3 minutes and it started raining! Just a really quick shower though. Waiting impatiently for the really deep red gorgeous poppy seeds heads to ripen ..hurry up!
Not cold cold but wind is blowing and that's cold! Stupid weather its bloody August!

Well done getting all those blinking green things out of the raised area, it’ll be lovely next year when it’s all the things you actually want growing. Fingers crossed you get loads of Cow Parsley, Foxgloves and Aquilegias from your seed chucking 😁. Typical that you got three minutes into cutting the Poppy heads before the rain arrived! I’d be impatiently waiting for those gorgeous deep red ones too if l were you 😂. Hope the wind drops for you, it makes everything feel freezing!
Well l thought it was too good to be true , went to the pharmacy and nothing was there they sent me the text for my iron tablets , GF stuff on Monday hopefully. I thought it was a miracle lol .so l have taken the iron tablets in a empty stomach with a vitC tablets fingers crossed 🙄🤯

Still cloudy and windy here. It says scattered showers on forecast so just hung the washing inside. It could be raining out back but not out front here so i wouldn't know!

Tea prepped, 2nd load of washing nearly finished in machine, dead heading done, washing put away. Its a miracle! 😆

Back from seeing Mum, she was fine there thankfully. Just having GF chicken burgers for dinner and a nice cuppa 🍔 🤤 ☕.
Look at you go @Thebookofcarolagain! 😂 Tea prepped, washing nearly done, dead heading AND washing put away! You’ve been on fire today 😆! Especially with the sun still shining, it’s practically unheard of! Now you’re definitely entitled to put your feet up and do absolutely bugger all for a while 😂

First load of washing put away, 2nd out. Swept up out back. Put toms and seedlings out that are getting big enough now. Even put a few succulents and little cactus out!

Of course its now getting a bit cooler 😡
Will water later, boooo such a pia.

Phew! All watered. Gave it a good soak so took ages. Pulled a ton of toadflax out the bottom border, its everywhere! Plants all back in. Washing in. It's getting blooming cool now. Only have shorts and tshirt on so really feeling it by the end.
Am knackered and gonna start tea in a few minutes. Got pork loin chops but just giving them a quick fry then into oven they go. They've been marinating so hopefully with a bit of water they will turn out fine.

Having a sit down and a drink first.
