Snap @DirtyGertiefromno30 just forced myself to run the hoover round. I even dusted out the inside/filter!
Been out in garden its beautiful sunshine now but the wind spoils it. Was sick of being battered. Cut more poppy seed heads off and took a few buds to put in a little jug in house. Fingers crossed.
AND... I have a lovely yellow flower on my biggest paper flower plant I grew from seed. Yippee. (I know doesn't take much does it? 😆)
Think I will have to water beds later despite the rain. They are looking very dry. Damm.
Coffee time, I would sit on wall outside but for the damm wind.

A yellow flower already? Result! 😁👏 It's such a good feeling when something you've grown from seed finally flowers. The wind is a right pain for you though 😱. Enjoy your coffee☕
Just got a cuppa and watching the gymnastics. One lot of washing put away next lot nearly dry . Just done the dishwasher not doing anything else.
Tried Morrisons white gf rolls and they aren't bad TBF . Their bread was ok too.
I have an appointment on Thursday with my GP to get a prescription to help out with the cost . GF Stuff is 3 x the price of normal. Hey ho 😤

Wind dropped for a bit so I went out front chopped down the toadflax and pulled a few things out. Pushed sunflower stakes back into pots the wind had them loosened. 😡 Very hot for a change!
Tatties ready and pie out of fridge to warm up bit. Am getting peckish.
I forgot ds1 still has a sheet in wash basket, could have had it out (so could he tbh!) Oh well tomortow. ..

Your pie and tatties sound lovely too. I'd have left the sheet until tomorrow as well , if Ds1 wanted it done today, he knows where the washing basket is! 😂

Watering done, phew. Was nice out though. Another 2 sulking dahlias have buds! One in top bed just kinda sprouted lot so I have pushed the poppies back with branches to give it some air😁 The other is in a pot at front same thing just got a new lease of life. They arent gonna be big i dont think but Whoohoo.😄
Got some foxglove seeds from raised beds area and pulled some forget me nots so hopefully will have seeds to start earlyish.
Dishes done, kitchen cleaned up, back entry swept (cos of the bits i brought in😁) i am done for the day. Might sneak in another coffee and another swirl...🐷🐷

Ooh just been watching a spuggie at the bugs at the base of an aquelegia and a young thrush got a snail plus bugs. Will start to put snails out for it.😄

Great news about the Dahlias @Thebookofcarolagain they do love keeping you waiting, don't they? 😁Hopefully they'll reward you with lovely blooms🤞. Nice to see the young Thrush and the spuggie busy in the garden as well 🤗. You've earned that coffee and swirl !

Hot but cloudy here. Weird, grey clouds occasionally sun peeking through but warm as heck.
Going to go shopping later. Ds2 doesn't want to go this week. He only has one day off and is knackered already so am just gonna go today. Need to see if ds1 can get moving or not. Waiting for washing to finish before I go.

Back from shopping, ds2 decided to come after all. It started raining on way home, it cant decide if its gonna stay raining or not, it's stopped for now but sky is dark grey clouds.
Didn't get much, phew! No decent plants I wanted or 'rubbish' plants I would have chosen to get discount on. Got swizzed on a box of cherries in HB. The lighting in there is dire and i did check them but when we got home half are just mushy and some have mould😡 If it wasn't a car trail away i would take them back.
Got a chicken to do a roast dinner tomorrow seeing as ds2 is off.
Aldi shelves were half empty in places must be new stock arriving.
Ds2 went into Morrisons for his cheese, and steak and haggis pies (wish he had said i would have got him to get some for us all) They had no white vinegar at all and no frozen lemon sole with the nice breading. 😡
All put away, wash hung and coffee time.

Sounds like you’ve had a proper mixed bag of weather today @Thebookofcarolagain, nice here thankfully . At least you got the shopping done and everything put away, and even better that Ds2 decided to come along after all even though he was tired he's good un bless him.
I’d be absolutely raging about those cherries though 😡 .Especially when you’ve checked them in the shop and then get home to find half of them mushy and mouldy. Such a pain when it’s too far to go back as well. You’d think they’d be able to spot that sort of thing. Shame about the plants too, you’ve been waiting for some decent ones to turn up! 🌸 And typical Aldi having empty shelves just when you actually need things 🙄. Ds2 getting his cheese, steak and haggis pies sounds good though he definitely should’ve grabbed extra for everyone! 😂
Chicken roast tomorrow sounds lovely, especially with Ds2 being off. Right, feet up now, coffee time and a bit of peace after all that faffing about. ☕️❤️

Been to see Mum, I needn't have worried about her she was marvellous there bless her . Popped up Mum's house picked up the mail there . It was all fine there thankfully.
Popped to the shops after to get a curry for Kim Clam 🤣.

Water board have been supposed to have repaired the leak, l have my doubts but we shall see 🙄.

Got a huge shock when I noticed my huge succulent was not thriving. The smaller offshoots at bottom were all dying off. 😱 So have cut them off and gave it a good feed/soak . Eek! Fingers crossed it survives.
Rained has held off. It lightened up a while now darkening again.
Hope Kim Clam enjoys his curry.😄
