OMG how bloody difficult can it get to drill holes in a plastic bin? I forgot to drill air holes in compost bin when Ds2 cut out the bottom for me so I decided to do it myself . Used a thick drill bit and bloody hell it took forever and all my weight against it to go through. Tried a small more pointed drill bit to make a hole then the bigger one, even that still didnt wanna go through without all my weight against it.. Had to give up only 2 sides done. My back is screaming blue murder today. Sick to death of this stupid back, there's no reason for it to be bloody agony, none, its all at left lower part, yet I can hardly bend then straighten up. i have stuff to do ffs! 😡
Took down all the bags and folded them and put them away. Have wash to go out but having a coffee and tablets and have heat pad on first. Sick as a chip.

Afternoon everyone 😊
Those boots sound like a bloody bargain, 4 years and still going strong @Thebookofcarolagain! 👏
Oh your poor back 😩. No wonder you're sick to death of it, especially when you've got things you want to get done. Typical that drilling a few bloody holes in a plastic bin turns into such hard work! I'm sure putting all your weight behind the drill hasn't helped either. But you've still managed to get loads done though, washing on, bags all folded and away, food sorted and even battling with the compost bin well done you 👏. Hopefully the coffee, tablets and heat pad take the edge off it a bit. Maybe the gravel can just be done as and when you feel up to it, even if it takes a couple of goes.
Hope your back eases off for you sweetheart it sounds absolutely awful l am so sorry.
And as if by magic my bloody leg decides to join in with you @Thebookofcarolagain 🙄. My day has been spent shopping, listening to my sister moaning about my Mum, who has been completely out of it today unfortunately 😱. DH moaning about wanting to go home for his dinner he's hangry and this bloody ECG contraption. I can't wait to get the damn thing off and have a proper bath l can tell you 🙄. On our way back home now 🤗 bit of dinner and a cuppa and l can take this damn thing back 😱

Aww @DirtyGertiefromno30 hope your calf behaves pdq. Glad you can get rid of the ECG thing soon. Must be a real nusciance. Sounds like a frustrating shopping trip all round. Hopefully this afternoon is much better for you.
Have taken the wash out and hoovered downstairs. Back on sofa with heat pad up high trying to burn the damm pain out😄
Having a hot choc and some Baileys biccies.
Sky clouded over as i hung washing but it's brightened up again.

DirtyGertiefromno30 · Yesterday 15:45

Aww thank you @Thebookofcarolagain. Hopefully the calf settles down soon, it’s being a right pain in the backside ! And yes, I am so glad to get rid of that ECG thing, it’s such a nuisance having it on checking it every 5 mins 😱.
Well done you getting the washing out and hoovering downstairs! Now get yourself comfy on that sofa and let the heat pad do its thing 🥵. Hot choc and Baileys biccies sound like a pretty good treatment to me! 🤗. Glad the sun has come back out , typical that it clouded over just as you put the washing out 😊 but fingers crossed it will work .
I have taken the ECG thing back , got into my confused and had my dinner of baked potatoes and tuna and corn .
Bought a pizza for my tea and looking forward to it too will have it when strictly is on 😁 confused is supposed to be comfier 🙄

Had a snooze @DirtyGertiefromno30 ! Probably the strong painkillers plus muscle relaxant. So much for them.. It's still damm sore!
I put my jogging buttons on to see if I can get the heat pad tighter on my pelvic muscles. It's right at the top of my pelvis where the bone starts to dip in and right into the dip. Grrr. With jeans it was awkward.
I forgot ds1 cant handle the chicken wings with his cracked hands. He is getting a pizza from Turkish T/A and getting me chips and curry sauce 😄
Ds1 said i should see GP next week, waste of time i think. Might refer myself to physio instead see if i can get acupuncture as that seems to help when the other areas are hurting. 🤞

DirtyGertiefromno30 · Yesterday 16:45

Bloody hell @Thebookofcarolagain no wonder you had a snooze bless you . I find Cocodamols make me very tired and constipated 🙄 and the pain is not much better either just like you find . Sounds like you've found a better way of getting the heat pad where it needs to be, jeans definitely wouldn't be much help . At least DS1 has sorted dinner, pizza and chips with curry sauce sounds pretty good to me 😋. Maybe give the GP a go next week, even if they do nothing at least you've tried, can you ask for some Tramadol? l find them very good for back pain . And if physio and acupuncture have helped before, definitely worth looking into that too 🤞
Throw everything at it sweetheart 🤗.

Tea done, dishes done, washing in and jammies on😄 I had wings and my chips then a berry ice cream not too shabby.
Doing no more today @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Hope you arent either. Yeah painkillers dont seem to do anything for me unless it's just a niggle @DirtyGertiefromno30 Very annoying . Might ask for tramadol. They do seem to have some effect. Nothing i have had today has done very much.
Gonna finish listening to my you tube story then maybe pop on Skyrim. Keep saying that and not doing it😄 Tonight i might..

DirtyGertiefromno30 · Yesterday 19:48

You’ve done enough for today @Thebookofcarolagain. Tea done, dishes done, washing in and jammies on. That’s you sorted 😂 Wings, chips and a berry ice cream sounds pretty good to me too 😋 😁.
Bloody annoying when the painkillers don’t seem to touch it 🙄. Maybe mention the Tramadol and see what they say, especially if you know they seem to help you a bit 🤗. Get lovely and comfy and enjoy your story 😁. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll actually get on Skyrim tonight 😂
Had my pizza it was alright 🙄.
Watching Strictly now 🤗

Hi ,
just read all the posts .
I feel so sorry for you both - BookofCarol with your shoulder and back , and Dirtie with the calf and ecg monitor . You are both in the wars 😔.
I have just managed to get my head above water here - got my WH blanket finished and posted off yesterday afternoon , right at last posting , but it was a full on 3 days to get it done . So now I am having a little time out , getting some gardening and housework done .
I did get up every now and then to keep me from seizing up , so I have finished sorting out all the old photographs that have been stored in boxes for years .And sorted out a load of wool I dont need - tag ends etc , and gave that away on our local free site . ( I still have <cough> rather a lot 😂)
Today , I planted up all my spring pots ( well, I have a big one , then one for DD1 , and 2 for DD2 ). Tomorrow , I will get DH to help move the summer pots and the hanging basket from the front ( they are looking very tired and sad ) and pop the spring pot and my chrysanthemum to the front . Bit like tetris !
Had my flu jab today , and after hearing about it from someone , I am going to make an appointment to have the ( newish ?) pneumacoccal one done too . Thats just a one off one , you dont need it every year.

I haven't heard about a cold spell? It is still rather warm and sunny here , no heating needed yet , thank goodness!
Waves to everyone
Take care all x
