Afternoon all. Dismal wet start to the day. Brightening up slightly but not hopeful. Have just hung washing inside as clouds aplenty.
If it really clears up I might do my dahlias and wish on a star!

Wet first thing, but blustery and sunny now.

I will just watch the catch up hour on the BBC tonight - all I have time for really... but enough to see the high lights.

Haven't seen Chelsea today , been to see Mum.and then off to the market.
Came home and had toast and Marmite for dinner. Justgoi g tiha eacuooa . Washing had to go in the tumble , weather is pants here😱 I

Sounds like you've had all four seasons today there too 🙄. At least the sun came out in the end. The BBC catchup hour sounds a good compromise enough to see the best bits without losing the whole evening . Have to confess we watch it all 🤣

Didn't do the dahlias @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Well I sorted them out, made markers so I know which ones are which and what doesn't grow. I seem to have a few! 😄 Hopefully lots of glorious colour and shapes.
Rooting through my original packet labels i noticed a couple of tulips that didn't appear this year 😡 Need to get more labels too.

Weather been a pia. Sunny but windy, cloudy and windy and rain.
Watched Chelsea, so lovely.

Making tea. Smoked Haddie fishcakes and chips, onion rings and veg.

At least now you know what’s what, even if a few Dahlias are playing hide and seek @Thebookofcarolagain. Hopefully you’ll have a lovely mix of colours and shapes once they get going. Annoying about the missing Tulips though what happened to them ! Labels always seem to disappear just when you need them!
The weather sounds just like here , impossible to know what it’s doing from one minute to the next 🙄. Glad you are enjoying Chelsea, we are loving it 😁.

Hey ho I might get those damm dahlias planted tomorrow...if weather holds. The tulips just didn't appear, dont know if the bulbs rotted, or I lost them or what. All the bulbs were together over winter sndbi plantedvthemnout inyo bew pots.... no idea.
I went upstairs to loo then just got ready for bed...came down in my pjs and realised I hadn't done dishes...oh well somebody else can do them.😁
Gonna watch Chelsea then back to Appendices 😄

Hopefully tomorrow behaves itself weather wise and you can finally get those Dahlias in @Thebookofcarolagain🤞 . Sounds like you’ve got quite a collection waiting to shine. Shame about the Tulips though , bulbs are so temperamental sometimes 🙄

Afternoon all.
Been out with kuds in town. Went to job centre. Got a print out of my UC claim and the guy signed it so hopefully will get a bit off my glasses.
Then went to.general store and got plant labels. Then coop fir a few bits. Got some UK strawberries but forgot cream! Posted my old drivers licence back. Got stuck in the carpark as some idiot parked behind me not in a parking space and there wasnt room to reverse. 😡 Thankfully he came back quickly, idiot.
Then to garage to pay my bill but he wasnt there so will need to go back. Arghhh.
Cloudy as heck but not cold. Looks like rain might come.

That parking situation would’ve annoyed me too , some people are so inconsiderate and thick 😁. Lucky he came back quickly! Typical as well that the garage bloke wasn’t there after you’d gone all that way 🙄
We have been busy , cleaned the 2 fridge freezers then did the shopping, came home and put it all away. Bought some bakery items in Home bargains.
Never tried their stuff before but it was half the price of other shops and delicious 😋 ! I had a cheese twist and a cookie for dinner and it was lovely.
I suppose they all come from the same place 🤣.

Busy day for you too @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Glad the bakery stuff was good. Some of thier packed stuff is rubbish, just really sweet and sickly. Ds both like the sausage rolls and donuts though.

Been out and planted the dahlias! Fingers crossed they all take. A couple had shoots already. Lots of those mixed seeds i sowed have seedlings of various sizes. Impossible to thin out though so just letting them get on with it. Disturbed a few to get my dahlias in but hey ho theres lots. Just getting back down the garden when I felt the rain. There was a quick shower just 3 minutes then it stopped! So off i went and watered them all and just did top bed while i was there.
Managed to get water splashed down my leg! So now in comfy joggers😄
Got a steak pie in coop so easy tea. Also got more of those small corn tortillas , (even cheaper this time) and some ham on sale so in the freezer they went.
Think that's me for the day. Well apart from tea.

Hope the Dahlias settle in well @Thebookofcarolagain always a bit of a gamble but so exciting especially when you’ve already got shoots showing 😁. And those mixed seedlings sound like they’re doing their own thing nicely anyway, nature taking over a bit 🤣

Got to take Ds1 up to hosp tomorrow so have fought with my hair to tame it into a French plait so I look human tomorrow 😄
Will.stop at Morrisons onwards home and ger cream. (If I can get parked)
Watched Chelsea so lovely. Remembered to vote for the garden in time as well! (Sues)

Just woken up, these blackout blinds we bought a couple of weeks back are superb 😁. l am sleeping much better , before l would wake about 5 and not be able to get back to sleep, now l am back to sleep and waking up an hour and half / 2 hours later 😊. Long may it continue .
Ah thank you @Thebookofcarolagain re Dh's sweet Williams , he's thrilled to bits with them , the colours are so vivid. Only nature can do it like that .

Made it to hospital. Had to park in furthest away carpark and do a 20 point turn to get in the last parking.space! The other carparks have cars just parked everywhere!

A 20 point turn for the very last space definitely counts as a driving achievement 👏. At least you got parked in the end, even if it was miles away 🙄.
Hopefully the forecast is right for once and you got a bit of sunshine before heading home 🏠 and don't start me on about Hospital Wi-Fi 😱 it always seems to be painfully slow and/or completely useless, especially when you actually need something to pass the time. Typical that YouTube and your game wouldn’t load. Hopefully your mobile signal is a bit better than the Wi-Fi at least. Hope the appointment went smoothly and you were not waiting around forever too 🤞
Home from Mums , who was ok there thankfully. Popped to see my Mums friends , they were fine there as well. Nice out here 20C and sunny and blue skies washing out on the line. Just had a cheese roll and a cuppa and some tomato ketchup crisps ! That's a blast from the past 🤣

Haven't done much since i got home, went to garage and boss was out on a call so back tomorrow! Folded washing ready to put away. Firstly got ds2 to put his washing on! 😤

Tomato crisps, used to like them as a kid 😁.
Gravel out front is exploding with plants and flowers yeah! Looks much better than the horrid gravel on its own.

Cooking tea. Pork shoulder steaks with stir fry veg and hoisin sauce and rice. Fingers crossed.
