Good morning everyone 😊.
My day has been quite busy so far . I've done my hair, taken Mum's friend out shopping to Aldis did a bit for us as well, and I've been to see my Godson for his birthday. I took him a card and put some money in it for him. He's disabled, bless him, so it was lovely to spend a bit of time with him ❤️. Most importantly, Mum is okay today thankfully 😊. I have some Cinnamon rolls in the air fryer @Thebookofcarolagain😋

Oooh stop tormenting me @DirtyGertiefromno30 . I didn't buy anything like that last week I was being good!

Had job centre, ds1 was going to coop then we were going to get elderflowers. Started drizzling when we left and by time I got out job centre it was full on raining. So flowers will have to wait.
Making myself some toast for brunch didn't have brekkie.

Fair play to you @Thebookofcarolagainfor being good and resisting them last week though that takes more willpower than I seem to have when something sweet is calling my name! 😂
What rotten timing with the rain. Typical that it waits until you're heading out and then decides to throw it down properly 🌧️.
Sounds like you've had a busy enough morning already with the Job Centre, so a nice bit of toast for brunch is yummy 😋 .
My afternoon should be a bit calmer, fingers crossed! Raining like hell here so washing in the tumble . I have TMJ in the right side of my jaw and it's playing me up today . Just taken some Ibuprofen and paracetamol fingers crossed it dies one 🙄.

Stopped raining now but the place where we get the flowers we have to walk through tall grass, wild plants, uneven ground etc so will be soaking wet.
Have washing to fold and put away but other than that not got plans today. Just being lazy!

I don't blame you @Thebookofcarolagain just do what you have to and have a lovely relaxing day. Ah thank you re my jaw it is easing up now. I am sat on my bum doing nothing ,post Cinnamon buns and l am feeling sleepy 🥱 🤣

Washing put away and I went outside to see if my seedlings survived yesterday's downpours. Thankfully they seem fine, getting bigger now, yeah! And my delphinium is still growing!
Picked a load of snails off the wall and got rid of them.
Still kinda drizzly out there.

Glad your jaw is easing @DirtyGertiefromno30 and you will feel much better after a cinnamon bun😁 I am not a fan of the big cinnamon buns, too stodgy for me, but I like the swirls .

Aww that's brilliant news about the seedlings @Thebookofcarolagain. l am so pleased for you! 🌱😊. They must have enjoyed all that rain after all. Glad they survived the downpours. Even better that your Delphinium is still growing too. It sounds like your garden is doing really well. 🌿💚
Also well done on the snail patrol 🐌😂. It's still miserable and drizzly here too, but hopefully we'll get sunshine .... ONE DAY 😱. Aw Thank you, my jaw is definitely easing now . And my mistake, I meant Cinnamon Whirls 🤣 not the big cinnamon buns! I'm with you there , the giant ones can be a bit much, but a cinnamon whirl , or 2 🤣,with a nice coffee is a different story altogether. 😁☕🍪. Enjoy your coffee and biccie time, you've earned it after all your gardening inspections and snail hurling! Just folded the washing and put it away SNAP 🫰😁

Had a giggling fit for10 minutes with Ds2😁
He was tormenting me while I was sat on sofa. I eventually got up and got my Lucille. He did a silly kung fu pose thing and it reminded me of some actor so we stopped to try to think of them...it came to he...Martin Freeman in the Hobbit behind the scenes 😆 By then he had swipped Lucille. We went into kitchen continuing the sillyness. Then he left with Lucille lying across his neck at the front. As he went through the door he missed the hand end hitting the door jam by about half an inch, he carried on. When he turned i pointed it out and he burst out laughing as he had noticed it but was trying to brush it off. Well we were in fits, I sat on sofa and giggled and giggled and he made it worse, looking at me, admonishing me for laughing at him nearly beheading himself etc etc. He stopped laughing eventually but I just kept going. Oh I was aching! He will be the death of me yet!
Doing bacon cheeseburgers for tea better get started.

You and DS2 are a menace together @Thebookofcarolagain! The image of him carrying Lucille through the doorway, nearly taking his own head off and then trying to act like nothing happened and you saw it is hilarious🤣
The weather might be rubbish, but that comedy show more than made up for it! 😆. After all that laughing you've earned them! Hope you enjoy your bacon cheeseburgers yummy 😋 😁.
Just had crackers , coleslaw and cheese for tea . Just couldn't be bothered to cook tbh and the coleslaw needed using up 😁

Oooh I am stuffed! Only had 6 chips on my plate cos the burger was piled up ! I never learn @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Next time it will be just a plain burger and salad roll for me!
Pile of dishes waiting but am having a cuppa first.
Got a call to say my new glasses are in. Going next week. Just in time to get my UC paid in! Gonna be a frugal month next month 😁

Sunny ish here but rained overnight, what a surprise! Quite warm too! Have been out snail nabbing 😄 Checked pots for hiding snails too. My huge hosta out front gas only had a couple of nibbles so far and looks fab. It's spilling over the pot next to it, oh damm i meant to move the other pot a bit The one at back door has been got at a bit more but there are more snails there. Can't put it out front as its variagated and would poss lose its pale colours. Any suggestions?
Now, do I risk putting my baby seedlings in kitchen out? They are taking forever to get bigI don't want them battered if it rains, which is forecast.
My stupid vertigo has returned so look a bit drunk! Fingers crossed it fecks off pdq.

For the one by the back door, could you try raising the pot up a bit or putting some soot round it, my DH has just said he has given up on Hostas because of the Snails he's had enough of them 😤. He doesn't like using pellets as a deterrent.
Typical weather though 😱 warm one minute, dark grey clouds the next! Hopefully the seedlings will enjoy being outside and won't get caught in a downpour or get windswept 🤞.

Done bathroom, tidied up , wiped down kitchen and had coffee. Not motivated for anything else yet. 😄
I keep adding eggshells but I dont think they do much good, I do use slug bait in the pots when I have to, theres nothing eating them here. I just bin any dead obes in pots. Snails are a pia tbh. But I love my hostas so keep trying to keep on top of the snails. Not sure what I could raise the pots up on that the snails couldn't maneuver, will give it a think😄 No soot I could use. It's a puzzlement😄
Vertigo seems to have almost gone, no idea why it cropped up this morning.

You’ve still managed to get quite a bit done despite the thunder and rain @Thebookofcarolagain 👏🤗. Bathroom, kitchen and tidying all done is brilliant, even if your motivation has gone 😜.
Those snails really are little beasts though . But I love how determined you are with your Hostas, they’re well worth it. My DH has given up on them tbh

Am sat with another coffee have been out again and nabbed a few more snails that came out after the rain. They get hurled over the fence as far as I can and if they return....bucket. one chance is all they get😁

I’m still laughing at my DH having a panic over milk! Honestly, how does that even happen? I wanted full fat Jersey milk to make some reinforced milk shakes for my Mum but ...he just couldn't find it and he won't ask anyone in Tesco 🙄 MEN !! 🤣
The rain certainly seems to bring the snails out in force @Thebookofcarolagain. I think your one chance policy is very generous though! 😁 Over the fence they go and if they come back, they've only got themselves to blame 😁

I have just had baked potatoes with tuna, sweetcorn and mayo and l haven't had it for so long l had forgotten how blooming tasty it is , yummy !

😁😁 at your poor DH @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Yes typical men! Just ask!!!! I have to say Ds2 is a bit better than most at asking in shops but shy in other areas. Ds1 not the outgoing type at all. Can be sociable if he feels comfortable but doesn't go out of his way to do so, so reluctant to ask strangers anything.

I made up a "Mexican Lasagne" for tea 😄
I browned mince added cannolini beans added usual salt and pepper, garlic powder, chilli flakes/powder mix, paprika, wors' sauce, stock pot. Cooked a tin of chopped tomatoes with same spices. Used those small corn tortillas i got on offer, that are too small to roll. One layer on bottom then mince, tom's, tortillas, mince, toms and topped with cheese and baked for 20 mins. It came out rather well. Will make again if kids like it. Not too hot just a nice warm heat.
I love it when a plan comes together😉

We have had sunshine for a while now but the wind is fierce! Blooming ridiculous! Good gravy just stop its June!

That Mexican lasagne sounds fab @Thebookofcarolagain😋. Love how you just made it up with what you had and it’s come out a success 😁. Definitely one to make again if the kids approve 👍
And yes it is so simple DH , just ask 🙄 seems to be the hardest thing for him to do 😂. It's good your DS2 is confident in shops and your DS1 sounds very normal with his comfort zone social side. Miles better than my DH 🤣.
I forgot how filling sweetcorn and baked potatoes are and am bursting🤣

I hope you dont explode @DirtyGertiefromno30 . I took my plate through and had a small spoonful more of the 'lasagne" yum. Just a taste. I was good and didn't put a huge amount on my plate to start with though.

Listening to Skyrim stories, so good and thought provoking to boot. I think its his love of history that gives him an edge on morality and why we make the choices we do.
