Who is yours? Your top rock god.

When you think of rock/metal who do you picture? Jimi Hendrix,Freddie Mercury,Ozzy,Mick Jagger etc. Not that it's restricted to singers of course.

Ooh, other Rammstein fans!! Don't know any others than DH.
And yes, Alice is way up there on Mount Olympus

bluebump · 26/09/2009 21:48

Eddie Vedder does it for me. He's one of my longest celeb crushes. Lovely voice too.

FromGirders · 26/09/2009 21:49

Damn, can't open any youtube links as ILs are here

evaangel2 · 26/09/2009 21:51

got tickets to see Alice in November
40th birthday pressie for myself

FromGirders · 26/09/2009 21:55

Saw Alice a few years ago, went wearing a "Yummy Mummy" t-shirt. Got some bemused looks. It was entertaining. Absolutely BRILLIANT concert.

Going to see Rammstein in December - SOO excited!!!

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 21:56

at the Alice and Rammstein gigs.

I'm hoping to see Dio and Motorhead soon.

They are / are going to be my only two gigs in the last seven years - don't be too !

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:03

I don't go to many gigs either.Though I did get to see my favourite band back in June.

Dodgy

Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:15

Who were your favourite band? The last gig I went to was Children of Bodom, Slipknot and Machine Head last December up in Newcastle. I don't go to many either.

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:16

OMG! The hair! And is the song supposed to sound like a chipmunk on a double dose of helium?

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:17

AC/DC are my favourite band.

Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:18

Oh yeah, thank DH for exposing me to dodgy metal vids (He's a few years older).

Would Spinal Tap count?

Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:19

Ahhhhh, and they have their own tribute act. Airbourne. Which singer do you prefer?

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:20

Not an Airbourne fan.

Do you mean Brian vs Airbourne's singer or Brian vs Bon?

OP posts:
Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:22

Sorry, Brian v Bon.

Oh yeah, Eddie V. He's looks so different now.

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:26

I like both equally. They both brought something different and special to the band. There are songs that Bon couldn't pull off that Brian can and vice versa.

Really it's all about Angus for me anyway,

OP posts:
Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:29

Is it true the reason for Angus wearing his uniform still was to do with him sneaking off to practice from school?

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:33

It was his sister's idea. He used to rush home from school and the first thing he did was to grab his guitar. He'd practice still in his school uniform because he couldn't wait until he got changed.

His sister thought it was cute and that because he still looked like a school boy that he should wear it on stage.

He did play truant from school quite often though but he didn't practice he usually went to the library to read music magazines and history books.

Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:35

That's cool and makes him a bigger rock god for that.

2shoes · 26/09/2009 22:36

omg airbourne is just plain wrong

Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:37

FG, where are you going to see Rammstein? I'm not speaking to the babysitter (Mother) so I doubt we'll be going.

TheHeadbangingWombat · 26/09/2009 22:37

He's the ultimate rock god. He's a Glaswegian too which makes him even more cool if such a thing is possible.

He is a rather unlikely rock god though. He's 5'2, doesn't drink alcohol, loves history and painting.

And I'll shutup now.

Bellared · 26/09/2009 22:38

2shoes So wrong. I cant think of any more gods atm.

FromGirders · 26/09/2009 22:40
