Who is yours? Your top rock god.

When you think of rock/metal who do you picture? Jimi Hendrix,Freddie Mercury,Ozzy,Mick Jagger etc. Not that it's restricted to singers of course.

see now, i sw a picture of the singer from Pearl Jam in Kerrang think it was. He used be delish, but looked some what ropey it has to be said.

Rock God, lenny Kravitze, he would get it good n hard,

erm, always loved Adrian vandenberg from Whitesnake actually, now his hair was gorg, bet he is as bald as a coot now

would love to see all of the heart throbs of my youth now, would make me feel a little less....well, old and decrepid im sure.

sunburntats · 24/09/2009 18:13

mmmmm went to see Pearl Jam a few years ago.
a girl passed out pissed in front of me, i wanted to stand on her so that i could see better, dh stopped me.

hairs on the back of my neck stood on end, they were fantastic.

Neal Whitmore, aka Neal X from Sigue Sigue Sputnik, now runs toddler music classes in Hampstead.

rock'n roll

TheHeadbangingWombat · 24/09/2009 18:23

LMAO.Poor guy.Though it's probably still marginally less embarrassing than being in Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

mmm nice

Chris Cornell was fab when he was in Soundgarden. The recent stuff has been a bit wrong though.

Squishabelle · 24/09/2009 18:30

Agree with Robert Plant for the SUPREME god. However there are quite a few mini gods about.

TheHeadbangingWombat · 24/09/2009 18:38

Who are your mini gods Squishabelle?

Sunburn, how long ago was that?

I'm sure my sister fainted at a Pearl Jam gig in Bournemouth but about 12 years ago.
Or more.

GentleOtter · 24/09/2009 19:08

lou33 - OMG!

I was gutted when he died and his music was a massive influence when I was younger.

I loved Zappa too.

TheMightyToosh · 24/09/2009 19:14

Robert Plant definitely up there. Met him once, got a kiss on the cheek out of him as it was my birthday

He lives near me. Saw him in Toys R Us the other day! Bless (couldn't tell you what he bought, I was chasing DD round at the time, and trying to look nonchalant about his presence!)

For me though, jimmy page wins out, circa ~1975. yum

lou33 · 24/09/2009 19:18

yes it was v sad when he died

AvengingGerbil · 24/09/2009 19:20

Bruce, obviously.

TheHeadbangingWombat · 24/09/2009 19:23

Springsteen?

OP posts:
PortBlacksandResident · 24/09/2009 19:26

PortBlacksandResident · 24/09/2009 19:27

opinionatedmother · 24/09/2009 19:37

only one for me.

opinionatedmother · 24/09/2009 19:46

oh, maybe two

i so love hairy introverted men with big hands.

AvengingGerbil · 24/09/2009 19:50

Yes, Springsteen. There is no other for me...

TheHeadbangingWombat · 24/09/2009 19:53

I just had to clarify because if someone says Bruce the first person that I think of is Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden.

TheHeadbangingWombat · 24/09/2009 20:12

I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan but I am rather hoping that David Gilmour will be staying in his villa in Lindos while I'm there. It's highly unlikely though sadly.
