I just can't stand...Amy Winehouse.
There I said it.
When I've said this out loud in front of friends, they've behaved as though I've taken a shit in their handbag.
The voice is wonderful I agree. But:

1. Her shitty attitude
2. The addictions (yeah it's an illness 🫩)
3. Bad choices in men
4. Was she really so outstandingly wonderful that we forgive the unprofessionalism? Late to gigs, arseholed on stage etc etc

I've seen the documentaries. She was vulnerable. Her family/friends/ milkman took advantage.

Justin Bieber for me. His songs are so awful and amateurish & his voice is horrible

I think Wet Leg are massively overrated, just the most banal landfill indie. Especially when incredible all-women bands like Die Spitz or Novatwins are around.

His music is pretty terrible and I don’t like his voice but I can’t help liking him as a person. His responses to people criticising him on Twitter are always pretty funny.

Madonna. Not just now. Always thought she was v overrated.

To be honest, anything these days that is autotuned and high pitched just does my head in.

Never liked Annie Lennox.

Coldplay (dull), Ed Sheeran (even duller), most boy bands (just generic crap), Beyonce (unlikeable), Drake (just middle of the road and overproduced), Sam Smith (irritating).

Can't stand Paul McCartney- I've said it before and I'll say it again! 'National Treasure' more like Smug Twat. His current stuff is either thin and weedy or he's trying to be like the Rolling Stones more 'edgy'. But it all sounds like an old man trying to be cool. He's not cool, his voice isn't that great and I don't understand where all the live for him comes from......

Yes, I agree about TS. Generally, even if I don’t like a musician, I understand their popularity with other people. (Ed Sheeran could not be less to my taste, but I had free tickets to one of his gigs shortly after Covid and it was an excellent performance. I also dislike Sting, but he played a gig with Debbie Harry last year and although I was planning to leave after her set finished, he was unexpectedly good, and we all ended up staying, muttering unwillingly about him being not shit.) I genuinely don’t get TS, though. She just seems generic. Wallpaper music.

Sam Smith. Objectively, I can acknowledge his vocal talent but I hate the tone of his voice. I loathe Jess Glynne's voice. Lewis Capaldi - he's just too shouty.

Rhianna (she can't sing, but has presence), Beyonce (overated songs, that just sound like catchy anthems), Ariana Grande (tries too hard to be something else), James Blunt (too depressing) and Adele (I just don't get it).
