I just can't stand...Amy Winehouse.
There I said it.
When I've said this out loud in front of friends, they've behaved as though I've taken a shit in their handbag.
The voice is wonderful I agree. But:

1. Her shitty attitude
2. The addictions (yeah it's an illness 🫩)
3. Bad choices in men
4. Was she really so outstandingly wonderful that we forgive the unprofessionalism? Late to gigs, arseholed on stage etc etc

I've seen the documentaries. She was vulnerable. Her family/friends/ milkman took advantage.

Bruno Mars gives me unexplainable rage! I have to turn the radio off whenever I hear him.

Where I work, they have the radio on all day, and I’m so fed up of hearing Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars on repeat. One day I counted 4 TS songs and 5 BM.

The streets or any indie music similar. I don’t understand how talking (not singing or rapping) is music.

Yes I agree with you about Amy Winehouse op. I just think that affected voice is overrated and she looked awful. That 60s thing with the addiction scruff does nothing for me - it’s so uncool. It taints her music.

For different and obvious reasons - Michael Jackson - can’t seperate his music from
what he did and who he was.

Used to love Beyonce when she was in destiny's child but these days I can't stand her!

Ed Sheeran, just don't get it with him. His music just goes straight in one ear and out the other. Couldn't hum any one of his songs or remember a single word of them.

Police/ Sting - cant stand his voice, really grating
Coldplay, and any other whiney music, especially accompanied by guitar - eughh

Taylor Swift - not so much that I "cant stand her" - but I cant even tell when its her singing or some other contemporary female singer (as I dont really know her songs), she is so beige I have no idea why she is so popular - there are other female artists who (to me) sound exactly like her.
