In Rainbows has brought them back up though, trust me, if is their first bit of truly superb music for a long time.

asicsgirl · 06/06/2008 20:03

cut copy sounds like human league to me

a bit of Cut Copy
I like!

CatIsSleepy · 06/06/2008 20:04

at asicsgirl's comment!

nowt wrong with Human League

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 20:05

lol I just accidentally had both Gorillaz Dirty Harry and the Cut Copy Saturdays open up and play at the same time, worked really well, some succesful accidnetal mixing going on

Tunng are rather sweet, I have them in the same category as Boards of Canada. Brill sunny chilled out festival music.

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 20:05

no no, better than human league

asicsgirl · 06/06/2008 20:06

I may try it more often!

I have some old skool house that always works played under other tihngs, like this classic from Warp records.

CatIsSleepy · 06/06/2008 20:10

hmm might have to get In Rainbows

have just purchased Saturdays from itunes!

asicsgirl · 06/06/2008 20:11

p.s. cat yeah i know!!! tho' he mostly listens to ancient prog and radiohead. he has very good taste in wiggy out there free improv/ jazz but that's another thread entirely...

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 20:13

get In Rainbows. It is one of those albums that grows on you. I promise you'll be loving it after a few plays. TY at his best.

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 20:16

some songs sound crap until they are mashed up

like this which I find strangely compelling...

zippitippitoes · 06/06/2008 20:16

what about drugstore not still together but you might like

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 20:20

But this is my favourite -
Gorillaz Vs The Cure

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 20:28

oh ys FMF I like the gorillaz one, and that other one was strangely mesmerising, i think it was the gyrating girls

Gorillaz are so under-rated. Powerful music I find.

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 20:29

right, more please - I have a glass of wine, DH is at a party and the boys are in bed, so...

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 20:30

Anyone like Dreadzone by any chance? I have just found out they are headlining at a festie I am off too later this summer and I am very excited, they are a stupendous festival act!

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 20:32

I found this after zippi's suggestion.

Not sure though

zippitippitoes · 06/06/2008 20:34

white magic for lovers is the best drugstore cd

there is hardly anything youtube unfortunately but they are a niche band were
