I bloody worshipped him from being about 12 years old. I remember liking Wham! music and hearing it at a youth club I went to, and then one day I saw his picture in my dad's Daily Star and it was LOVE! It was 1984.

I've just shared this clip on another thread, I think it's one of the sexiest performances I ever saw him do, I love the dance moves in this.

Interesting that George denies he has split from Kenny here (march 2011) and then in Aug 2011 at the Symphonica opening night in Prague he admits they split 2 and a half years previously.

Yes, I think the split really upset him, and he needed that time to come to terms with it

I still can't believe he's gone. I've loved him for over 30 years and just get a thud in my heart every time I see his name at the moment. I know it's daft and I didn't know him, let alone really love him, but a little part of me is hurting.

No it's not daft Pola. I would not necessarily call myself a die hard fan but he was very much part of my culture and growing up since I was a child right to my adulthood. I long for the day when the newspaper reports he is finally being laid to rest and not speculating about the cause of his death or what former lovers of his or doing now.

I agree, its not daft at all, it's a natural and human reaction to something sad, especially someone that's left a mark on your soul. I really can't wait until the speculation is over and the funeral can take place and I can concentrate on memories of the gorgeous man he was rather than think about what horrible way his life might have ended.
