I just wanted to start a thread where fans can share their favourite things about George. Share video links, lyrics, rare footage. Tell us why you liked him. Have you met him? Share your memories. Anything really.

Please, no speculation about how he died here.

I bloody worshipped him from being about 12 years old. I remember liking Wham! music and hearing it at a youth club I went to, and then one day I saw his picture in my dad's Daily Star and it was LOVE! It was 1984.

I've just shared this clip on another thread, I think it's one of the sexiest performances I ever saw him do, I love the dance moves in this.

I love the way he speaks to them, and their tails wagging in unison Grin

'Do you not read the papers love?'Grin

This is so interesting

I don't know who put this tribute together but it's heartfelt and inspiring to watch. He really was a genuinely lovely and sincere man, so sad he's gone.

i.vimeocdn.com/video/462899963_640.jpg I've never seen this video before, so so hot, imagine what it would be like if he was kissing someone he really wanted tolWinkBlushGrin

Link fail. Doesn't seem to work on Vimeo. Anyway it was the Father Figure video

NataliaOsipova · 13/01/2017 19:54

It's all the charities who are coming forward to say he'd asked for no publicity but made huge donations that make me well up. I'm rubbish at linking things (apologies) but if you look at "UK Thal Society" on Twitter as just one example, you'll see what I mean. In an age of self-aggrandisement, I think he really stood out as someone who helped others because it was the good thing to do, rather than because it made him look good. An admirable man.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 13/01/2017 19:59

Loved him performing with Queen at the Freddie tribute concert.

Father Figure remains my favourite single.

I remain convinced that "I Knew You Were Waiting For Me" is the best pop duet of all time... (maybe if the Freddie Mercury/Michael Jackson track gets released I'll change my mind)

NataliaOsipova · 13/01/2017 20:08

Have you all heard the unreleased single that's on YouTube? Called "This Kind of Love". Absolutely beautiful song. Written with Elton John apparently. Really hope it's released a single.

Destinysdaughter · 13/01/2017 20:14

Can I add this one? ' Nothing looks the same in the light ' a Wham song but a sign of things to come from George.Beautiful and heartfelt, one of my favourite songs

I'm too young to have been a Wham fan at the time (born 81) but I've loved them/George forever. I taught his cousins during my first teaching job and was dead starstruck! My friend spoke to them on the phone (she works at The Wright Stuff) and said he was loveliness personified.

So many good songs, I can't choose. Love Everything She Wants, Young Guns, A Different Corner, Club Tropicana. I heard Listen Without Prejudice again the other day: awesome.

CeeBeeBee · 13/01/2017 20:38

Love my situation, I remember arching it when I was a child and thought he was hit then Blush. I read a interview with the model a while ago where she apparently thought it was clear to her he was gay. Wonder whether that just meant he didn't fancy her and she was use to men who did? Not that it matters anyway.

CeeBeeBee · 13/01/2017 20:39

Watching not arching!

LoveMySituation · 13/01/2017 20:47

That's interesting ceebee, it did look to me like he was putting his all into it Grin but I guess not..

CeeBeeBee · 13/01/2017 20:57

I thought so too Lovemysituation.
Here is the interview

LoveMySituation · 13/01/2017 21:19

Thanks ceebee, it's odd what she says, as he was with a girl for a few years at that time, and surely there must have been at least a little attraction there? I'm sure getting to kiss him 37 times made up for it though Grin

LoveMySituation · 14/01/2017 14:30

Fresta · 14/01/2017 14:34
